The newly-introduced Honda S2000 is reviewed by drive.com.au, circa 1999 or 2000. Sadly this video cuts off abruptly after 2.5 minutes; I don't have a full version.

1999 UK Honda S2000 Review
มุมมอง 1845 ปีที่แล้ว
Jason Barlow provides a cute review of the UK Honda S2000, from a mid-1999 episode of the TV series Driven (Channel 4, UK). This is the best quality I could manage the video I downloaded in Aug '99 is 160x116 (just 11MB for a 3m20sec clip!).
Gabriele Tarquini tests the new Honda S2000, 1999
มุมมอง 2705 ปีที่แล้ว
A collection of several clips from mid-1999, in which Touring Car legend and F1 veteran Gabriele Tarquini drives and evaluates the newly-introduced Honda S2000. Unfortunately I do not know the original source. It might have been a car magazine review, or (perhaps more likely) a Honda sponsored event Tarquini was a Honda factory driver in BTCC and other Touring Car series in the late '90s. Media...
S2000 vs The Competition (American Honda, 1999)
มุมมอง 6K5 ปีที่แล้ว
In this American Honda salesforce training video sent to dealers in 1999, IndyCar race driver Parker Johnstone puts the new Honda S2000 through its paces, and compares it head to head with the Porsche Boxster, BMW Z3, and Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster. Bullet-point advantages of the S2000 over its rivals are provided as talking points for dealer salespeople. Original media: VHS videocassette Video...
S2000 for life
The S2000 still looks incredible today, in 2023. Those others........not so much.
That z3 3.2 was a game changer
Lol he comments on the liftoff oversteer of the Porsche when thats what the AP1 is infamous for...
the most biased video ever
Is it wrong?
@@lorddragoono definitely not.
It's literally the internal marketing video Honda showed to their salesmen...
Did I say anything about owning one or the video providing false information or s2k being overrated? Funny how easily yall get triggered.
So, to summarize, the Honda S2000 absolutely crushes the competition with a much lower spec and much lower cost. Utter and complete humiliation for the overrated German carmakers.
That Benz has no chance.
None of them have. But especially that Mercedes.
That music was crazy
Honda really put a lot of effort in the S2000 wow. Honda S2K vs early Porsche Boxster vs Subaru BRZ. BMW Z3 vs Merc SLK vs Nissan 350Z. Nissan 370Z vs BMW Z4.
Z3? Bring the original E85 Z4. It is the only roadster of its time that will give the S2K a run for its money.
In 99 Z4 didn't exists
Would of been a closer match up with a M Roadster and Boxster S. Forget about the Benz at this point.
pfft but the M roadster costs like twice as much
a lot more expensive than the honda
Even the German cars in this comparison were much more expensive than the S2000 back in the day. Not to mention maintenance costs.
Great car, offered unprecedented performance in its class. Thx for the upload !
bmw interior looks like its 15 yeqrs older than the s2000
The S2K was decades ahead of it's time. Still better than most of it's competition to this day.
Way better than any of the competition. Both then and now.
Then why isn't still in production?@@TheDalitis8
0-60 in 5.5, that’s optimistic!
thank you
Its funny to watch this after all these years. The competitors in this video are completely forgotten about at this point, the S2K was way ahead of its time.
The S2000 simply HUMILIATED the Germans.
Exactly s2000 preludes were ahead of there time 240 hp was alot of power for an national aspirated 4 cylinder especially around that time preludes were at 190 hp vtec si was 160 hp those cars definitely was ahead of there time
The Japanese perfected the small engine
Whenever I’m running late, I’ll take the s2000 and she always gets me there on the dot
