RevOps TIPS on How To Sell SaaS Products | Selling B2B SaaS | Scale a SaaS Company
#salestips #revops #saastips #saascompany #saasproducts #howtosell #marketsegmentation
How to sell a #saas product
RevOps Tips for increasing SaaS company revenue
How to sell SaaS products B2B
How to scale a SaaS company
Before we embark on our sales journey I would advise the following client (market) segmentation:
a) DEAD Customers (a commercial relationship with a client that was terminated regardless of the reason )
b) EXISTING Customers
c) NEW or POTENTIAL Customers
Since the acquisition cost for a new client is exponentially higher than the cost of growing an existing client, I would advise focusing your starting efforts on the clients you already have!
As a first step here, connect with the decision maker within that (client) company, try to understand his or her professional + personal agenda (aspirations, end in mind, ambitions, annual bonus targeted, job promotion etc.) and see what you can do to help him or her shine in front of the boss by either optimizing costs or increasing profits or generate more revenue because at the end of the day, your success is dependent on their success. Ergo, by assisting them to succeed and reach their targets you actually help yourself.
A) Revenue Strategies for EXISTING Clients:
a1) Cross-sale, Up-sale,
a2) Freebies,
a3) Renewals,
a4) Referral Fees
B) In parallel, we should also dedicate time to DEAD Clients by going through the churn rate and see if there’s any way we can connect with our former clients to understand (first-hand data) what generated this rupture and see how we can use this input to revitalize the relationship - just because one #Revenue or #Sales #Manager told me that a client was impossible to please in our CRM that does not mean this is the sole side of the truth - there’s always more than meets the eye when it comes to sales CRM.
Ergo, TRUST your sales team by VERIFING data with your former customers also...perhaps there's business that was left on the table over there because someone missed the elephant from that room (e.g. mild tailored add-ons to current SaaS product requested by the client which would cost us close to nothing = just a few productive hours!)
C) Revenue Strategies for EXISTING Clients:
c1) Partner with Industry Leaders (Loss Leader + Celebrity endorsement strategy),
c2) Strategic Partnerships
c3) Non-Strategic (a.k.a Conglomerate) Partnerships,
c4) Succes Fee (win - win, lose - lose strategy),
c5) Lite App Version

can a U.S. company require some employees to get an I.T. certification to qualify for the program? After answering that, what if the office workers do NOT have to do anything to qualify?
Q1: It does not seem relevant for such a requirement to exist, but companies tend to bend internal policies in a way that will favor them. If you're coding and that has resulted in higher profits for the company + a transparent/genuine profit-sharing scheme exists => you should qualify in my opinion. Q2: Can't really compare one comp package from a JD and role within department X with department Y - while profit-sharing might be guaranteed for them without any specific certifications (milder requirements) their salary and bonus scheme might be 1/3 of a programmer's salary OTE. There is a lot to discuss on this one but hope I managed to bring some clarity :)

If you're product is in this category of price elasticity, do make sure you think twice before any price increase!
For example after 10 years working in a company, you would receive the a share profit percentage of the 10 years worked? Or are you just going to be elegible to have each year a percentage of the profits from now on?
You provided the answer at question #2. Unfortunately this is benefit does not apply retroactively. Ergo, the profit share you’re entitled to starts running only from the moment such a benefit was made official in your contractual agreement. Good luck!

Not sure how to reply at your comment dear Kaya, but hope you enjoyed the essence of this video.
How was your churn rate after using some of these tips? :)
Keep pushing dear #entrepreneur, keep working hard even if no one is watching, take the opportunities, stay mentally strong, build a plan and move forward with it, even if from time to time you might need to pivot, but keep your eyes open...resultant are on their way! 💪
NB: #Ethics costs, hurts, and can be easily overlooked, especially in #business. There is absolutely no mistake/stigma in opting for a #job, choosing a career in a specific field, being employed, or choosing employment over starting a #business. The most important thing is to find the balance (ikigai) that works for you and your family, rather than acting based on the premise "what will others say/think about me?" This video does not bring any criticism or touch in this direction. Its purpose is to warn those at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey about certain "temptations" that can accelerate the speed with which they head towards #bankruptcy.
Note: You might be able to streamline the process of building an MVP but this will not apply also to the roadmap of becoming a Chief Technology Officer.
Any other Customer Service Excellence pro tips to be shared?
any company with bad recent csr?
Dear Navneet, Over the past 30 years, there have been so many that's hard to actually keep track or register them. The challenge is the thin line between UGLY and BAD (Tricky) but have a look at: 1) Nestlé's marketing of breast milk substitutes - 2021 2) Disney's tax breaks in Florida - 2023 3) TikTok's data privacy practices - 2022 4) Amazon's union-busting tactics - 2021 With all the PR experts on their payroll, these days it's harder to see such "explosions" but not impossible. 1 Hope this helps!
