Ignoring that we are on the DNC registry, spoofing their phone number, lying about his location and he thinks we're stupid because we don't fall for his obvious lies. He also tried the trick of pretending he didn't hear the question, so he has time to Google it. A few additional questions that a legitimate business would answer because they want to grow the business, but these scammers will refuse to answer are: 1) What is your callback number? 2) What's your website? 3) What's your business mailing address? 4) How do I set up an appointment to meet in your office? One glaring flaw in their script is to start by telling us that they're calling to provide us with free information about solar panels. I tried numerous times to correct them when they start asking questions. I tell them they got it backwards and giving free information is answering my questions, not asking. I've tried telling them to hold on while I get a pencil and paper to write down their free information. Even then, they bombard me with questions and will hang up at the first sign of off-script questions.

The guy who called me with a Boston phone number today couldn’t tell me anything about Boston. He was a fowl mouth turd. We had a very amped conversation. I am so sick of these parasites.

I just had a nasty conversation with a solar scammer about 20 minutes ago. He was very nasty about the things that he said about my wife. Of course nothing that they say bothers me yet they are vile people.

I've had the same experience with solar scammers. Daniel is the name of about 50% of them. I've asked a "Daniel" on more than one occasion why he hung up on me earlier. This is met by either a denial or a hang up. If I get that far, I ask a question that would prove they're in the US, but the Daniels know nothing about our currency or politics. This seems like a business model destined to fail but yet they keep trying.

Most scammers genuinely believe they havent done anything wrong if they haven't actually stolen money from you. Completely ignoring the fact that both attempted fraud and conspiracy to defraud are criminal acts.

I have some favorite questions for scammers with specific fake names. For Mark Wilson, "Are you related to Woodrow?" They never know who that is which leads me to ask, "Where did you go to school?". They always refuse to tell me. Some ask why I want to know at which point I tell them "So I know where to not send my grandchildren" which causes them to hang up. For Mark Anderson, "How does someone with a Scandinavian name have an Asian accent?" This almost always results in an instant disconnect.
