Where you gone?
Irish Rail Class 2600, Arrow, 1994 & 2024, 30 Years, Anniversary ☘️🇮🇪😊
Excellent Scene!😃.
Is that the bridge where the two telegraph poles used to be?
I hear a dirt bike
Quite a mixture of old Park Royal coaches. Craven heating van. The green livery was much better than the current Dart colours
Absolutely amazing shot there 👍
Great footage
They need to reopen that line soon.
Great shots!
I am also very interested in British train simulation (Great Western Railway) and I would definitely like to purchase that but I have no knowledge of this and that is why I don't have it. 😭
Excellent Scenes!😃.
I think
That had to go through Dun laoghaire Which is my Station
5:48 sounds like a dart horn
Loved the orange colour back then with the NIR blue class 201
Oh so commuter now go to cork Kent from Hueston station i think that’s how I spell it
I remember when these were called the 2900 Class. I may be 13 years late but good video.
Good one 3 tones of that LOUD horn
I’m a bit curious as to why they only haul 18 liners
It's the max the network fits in places. Much bigger and it couldn't be stopped anywhere.
My Granda drove the Merlin in his day, so proud to remember him and the stories
Excellent Collection of Photos from the Good Years!😃.
Excellent Departure you Filmed!😃.
Very sad, indeed. I hate to see lines close, wherever they be. I know deficits have to cut, but I hope Iarnrod Eireann learned from the mistakes made by Beeching. You DON'T just count passenger / freight receipts from the line you wish to close. You also have to include revenues from services to the line. Or else you are only counting 'departures' not 'arrivals' also - so it is likely this line earned twice as much as the officials thought. Then you add social hardship and environmental costs, but the cost of the bus and the train starts to look less expensive. The Rosslare to Waterford section used to be far busier than the section from Waterford to Limerick. Perhaps, I should not mention that..... Loved the little 141s from Rosslare Harbour Pier. Yes, I am that old. I agree what they have done to Waterford station is a disgrace.
Fantastic camera work, really well done 👍
The days when 29000s roamed the Heuston line were just iconic. We will never forget them
Do you have any footage of 8200s?
Great shots- fantastic quality of video too!
18:52 can't beat that GM sound...
Brilliant footage Lukas 👍
After 5 Years Welcome Back 🥳
One of these type of train, 2716, was operated on one end as 2609, in a sort of Hybrid unit. One end is a 2600 and the other is a 2700. It is currently either in Inchicore or Limerick.
Class!
Great Shots!😃.It's been a while since you uploaded a video!.
Nicely shot.
You have the Iarnrod Eirrean sticker?! Thats so cool!
Awesome archive footage! You could simply tell the diffrence between the 071 and 141 baby GM by looking at their size!
Nice video 👍👍👍
How old is the 22000
Bit early for a tribute even in 2021.
The reopening of the Athlone to Mullingar railway line would bring back train service to Westmeath's major towns.
Lovely Departure and Horn!😃.Sad not to see this anymore!.
How dare u get a 29000
Why u have ruined this society
Nice clean camera
A manager at Heuston told me that they might tear up the line soon. He also said the 2700 and 8200 classes are gonna be scrapped soon.
greenway on the way its confirmed now
@@shaneryan9076 when did it get confirmed? I thought the EU blocked the line from being torn up due to the freight link it provides
I've friends on the railway, they told me it's been turned into a greenway, freight on the rosslare Dublin line is going to start taking off though but waterford lines all but gone
@@shaneryan9076 there were talks to turn the rosslare harbour - Waterford line into a greenway for a fair few years at this point, but at one point it was cancelled. Well, if it does get converted into a greenway at least it would be a good facility, but would still be a loss, especially to the many train heads around. I was on the Waterford dungarvan green way today, got a walk and a run in
@@antiochiaadtaurum3786 I eat my words. Now word is its reopening for freight possibly, minister for transport himself went on local radio saying its an objective for them, gonna cost a fortune to reopen the lines not in a great state esp barrow bridge which has damage
That trains on most like the Enterprise but I want that train before but not the Enterprise
A manager at Heuston told me that the 2700s and 8200s are gonna be scrapped soon.
205 was only 14 years old then. The following year it was in storage along with nine others (201, 202, 203, 204, 210, 211, 212, 213, 214) because they're not push/pull capable. I recently saw a photo of 201 and 205 left outside with weeds growing around them.
great video was the second track on platform on the dublin side introduced in 2010?
