Why did you waste the timbrel of tension on his human form

never noticed, but on the first boss you already see that the hero is immune to curses.
There is no way this isn't scripted. I'm not impressed.
@@DaegdaGames first two bosses are easily predictable, They follow a certain pattern and repeat. the other bosses are random.

Why even today is there no cure for Surround/Stopspell? Many RPGs have the equivalent of Echo/Eye Drops, why not dragon quest?
@@shirrenthewanderer414 yeah, i dont know. Would have been nice to be able to cure the most annoying abilities.
Maybe the lore in DQ? Lightning only wielded by hero and blindness are always synonymous with darkness
dragon quest does have a spell that cures it called Dedazzle, which only been used in 10 and 11. not sure if its in the dark prince or not.

It helps to be high level but it seems it's doable even without that.

Holy smokes, this is as impressive as hell! I love DQ8 and to me this is one of my fave game of all time, which is why I think what you did here is quite awesome my friend. Sure you used the monster team a few times but to me that does not take away how impressive this was, so thank you for showing us this.

Boomerang is the worst class
Now i see the proof that someone can actually defeat a boss with a low level...impresive..almost crazy...
Can go lower if you bother making it so that only one character survive each boss encounter, there is an old japanese video where the guy beat the final boss with Hero LV1, Yangus LV6, Angelo LV14 and Jessica at LV38 (required in order for her to learn Magic Burst, which with the other character this Low on LV is necessary).

No, some of them took many tries like Gemon and Black citadel's Rhapthorne. takes only one desperate attack to ruin everything. Nothing too crazy though, if a fight looked like it can't be won normally i would Gain a level or two and try again.

What's your favorite monster/s from this old ps2 game? :3 Mine will always be of the dragon family. Especially the Argon Lizard group.
That is a hard question seeing as there are many monsters in the game, No particular favorite monster family but i can name some monsters like: Hacksaurus, fencing fox and icikiller.

Ignore what @mkl2g1 said. This whole attempt is impressive and if nothing else, this helps me figure out where I should be gear-wise during a playthrough. I didn't know this was even possible, until I saw this video. Huge props all around and thanks for it. The only thing I would add is that I would wish to see the final fight with the dragovian challenge. My only question is, how come you used the meteorite bracer instead of the Catholician ring? Is that ring not that good for this?
Thanks. You mean the catholicon ring? I don't see how that would help. Since most Status attacks of the bosses are abilities and not spells therefore it doesn't protect against them.
Good video for the most part, but even if only temporarily, using monsters as help makes the hero only challenge void
I only used monsters to speed things up with the damage. because if not, the battles will take twice the time and the video will be too long for no reason. If you notice i always stay at first to demonstrate the Strategy and how to combat all the bosses moves and then call the team to deal some damage to clear it quicker. Some battles will require a ridiculous amount of turns without monster teams, for example empyrea's strategy would take much longer if i didnt call the team, some final rhapthorne battles i damage him for 1000-2000 only for him to heal it back by not giving me a chance to deal more than 500 before he heals.
@@overki1l I get that and it's a good reason, but when you start a challenge and decide on rules to follow, it would be good to respect them whenever possible. For the final form of rhapthorne, it's acceptable to make an exception to the hero only rule because otherwise his shield can't be broken and this makes him invincible. In the other cases, exceptions weren't necessary and if you make them just to speed things up, then there's no point in the challenge
@@MKL874 noted. I might redo the challenge in the future with more strict Rules.
I kind of couldn't agree. Since the "Call team" action is performed by the hero only, is fully in his right to use that command. Well, if you don't agree with that, the whole question is only about the meaning of words...
@@hardtimes2597 Monsters called by that command function as temporary extra members of the party that replace the regular one. Requiring hero to call them doesn't change that

Jessica carries in the end game if youre low level challenging and this guy proved it. once u have the timbrel of tension and the gringham whip, she hits over 1k easily without max level needed wonder what a max stats Jessica can do xD she can probably heal with attacks and one shoot bosses with 999 str

@@overki1lno problem and doing those boss fights at the lowest possible levels, especially the later ones, must've taken a LOT of guts and luck to do
@@arthursnyder6935 the ones i struggled against were Rhapthorne in the black citadel and gemon because of their Desperate attacks, the others weren't much of a problem with the Proper Strategy.
