STOP Playing it Safe and Start Living Radically for Jesus - Nik Ripken
If you follow Jesus, do you see your life as expendable or defendable? Are you defending your freedom to avoid persecution or willingly laying it all on the line for those who have never heard of Jesus? In this conversation, author and former missionary Nik Ripken explains what bold faith looks like. Serving in some of the most dangerous countries in the world as well as losing one of his sons on the mission field, Nik has seen unimaginable tragedy. However, he has also seen how insane faith can radically transform people's lives, even in the darkest places of the world. Our God doesn't call us to play it safe; He commands us to make disciples of all nations. Yet, no matter where we go, He is always with us. With that in mind, what would radical obedience to Jesus look like in your life?

Why Missions Isn't Just for “Those People”
มุมมอง 3904 หลายเดือนก่อน
Have you ever thought, “I could never be a missionary,” or, “I’m not cut out for missions. That’s for ‘those people’”? More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations. What you may not realize is that this command-the Great Commission-applies to every Christian. It’s not a suggestion or an idea. It looks different for every believer, but the bottom line...
Has the Church Set the Bar Too Low? - Miles Fidell
มุมมอง 1.2K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
How would you answer the question, “Why does the Church exist?” Many people will say things like, “It's for the betterment of the community,” or, “It's a place for Christians to gather and worship,” or even, “It's where you go to learn about God.” These answers may be true, but are they enough? Whether you grew up going to Sunday services or just visited one for the first time, it's important t...
Are You a Follower of Jesus or a Believer? - Afshin Ziafat
มุมมอง 2114 หลายเดือนก่อน
The word “believer” has different meanings in today’s society. From pop culture to Christianity, the phrase “I’m a believer” is fairly common. But in the Christian faith, what’s the difference between a believer and a follower? Is there a difference? How you answer that question can say a lot about how you view your faith. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus tells those who want to be His disciples to deny...
Why Have People Never Heard of Jesus in 2024?
มุมมอง 2.8K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
As a Christian, you're probably familiar with the concept of global missions and making disciples. More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus gave us the Great Commission to “go and make disciples of all nations ... (Matthew 28:19).” Yet almost half of the world remains unreached today. Why have so many people never heard of Jesus in 2024? Of all the missionaries taking the gospel across the globe, more ...

Being a sister and a friend to those who have none...to bring the Word of God to those who have never heard...hmmm...Going on a short term missions trip to present a newly translated bible... and falling into the will of God, profoundly aware of God's greater purpose for yourself, for His kingdom, for His glory, led by the Spirit through prayer, the Word, and obedience...it's like entering the bullseye of God's calling on your life...for such a time as this. (Could it actually be better than a duck hunt? hahah) Fulfilling joy, walking in step with His Spirit. An ordinary person with an extra ordinary purpose. Christ living in us...glory's hope! Live Original. Sadie, Thanks for your deep thoughts, courage to say no to fame, and willingness to obey even when you weren't sure you had enough faith.

Aaron & Hur Care is here to lift up the arms of those serving overseas so they will not grow weary in the fight. We provide practical help, friendship, resources, and emotional support. We are also involved in networking, and training individuals and churches to care for overseas workers. God has led my wife & me into Missionary Care, (serving those on the field that they may be strengthened.) I feel that if we send Missionaries and do not care for their "needs" (seen or unseen), we have failed them and the Lord. What is a Stateside Support Team? What are the responsibilities of a Stateside missionary support team? Through support in prayer. The individuals in the group should be praying for the missionaries on a daily basis. And the support team should gather 2-4 times every three months or more. To pray for the missionaries they are caring for. To support through verbal & written communication. To remember the birthdays of those serving overseas. To send pictures of your day to day activities and in general let them know you genuinely love and care for them. Last and not least! To give a monetary monthly gift from the support team for "extras". These funds are for the missionaries to be "not accountable for", to use for treating the people who they serving. For going out on special family activities, or to use as they see fit. Being connected with them as they are getting ready to head home. Assisting and helping find jobs and a home for those that need them, before they get back. When they come on furlough to see that they have treats specific to them that they like at the home that they will be furloughing in.

May God be glorified among the different ethnic groups where Christ is not yet known! It's sad that such a powerful video is not as popular as a lot of other evangelical materials. This kind of mission among the unreached requires true love and immense sacrifice. May God multiply His workers and give us strength to fulfill The Great Commission!

“But scripture says differently”. Yep. We know. And that’s the entire point; books say so. We care about _reality_ because _reality_ is the dictate of what is real. If a book makes a claim, and you want to check to see if it is real or believable, you don’t keep reading the book; you compare with reality. And in reality (!) we have not been provided with _anything_ to indicate that any gods exist. All we have been given are lists of things people believe god does if he exists. Like you did. You can’t demonstrate that a god exists. You can just tell us that you believe he does and that you believe he created the universe. Well, that’s not an argument that ought to convince any nonbeliever, because it would be backwards. How could a god that doesn’t exist do anything let alone create something? If I don’t believe a god exists, I certainly am not going to believe that this god does anything. In order for me to accept that a god created the universe or anything in it, I would have to first accept that a god exists. What is the evidence that indicates that a god exists? Is there any?
