Lenten Sermon Series: Honest Repentance Part VI
I guess an invisible mark is needed to advertise a invisible god
NO, JUST NO.
Hand? Shoulder close enough?
Christian churches are fronts for drug dealers and cartels
I want to encourage you … clearly you are advancing Gods will … stay strong and NEVER stop God bless you!!!
The sea is also frequently used to reference people. "From amongst the people" also fits easily.
Indeed! That ties very well with how John opens his Gospel.
I want to fight for Jesus and mercy. I'm a sinner.
Let god bless you
It's not the church it's Israel that gave birth to Christ. Through the Jewish line. The twelve stars are the 12 tribes of Israel. This idea that the women is the church is called replacement theology.
Thanks for your comment! While the image there speaks about Christ and his coming from God's specific chosen people in the OT, the context of the passage encompasses both Old and New Testament believers. Specifically, Satan rages against New Testament believers who are the children of the woman (in that case, the church). The image of the woman in chapter 12 is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Rubbish
Thank you I would encourage you to go read Joseph's dream secondly pastor this woman that you say is the church she seems to also reappear in chapter 17 riding on the dragon this is Israel or Jerusalem the one who killed the prophets and the saints of God also when the woman is carried away into the wilderness Satan goes after her offspring believers in Christ who keep the commandments of God in the testimony of Jesus this is the church yes or no thank you for your video God bless you brother
Thanks for the comment! You are right, a woman does appear riding a beast later on! But as we'll see when we get there, there's a strong case to be made that the woman riding the beast is actually false religion disguised as the church (the beast from the earth which looks like a lamb but speaks with the voice of the dragon). She resides where the church is (the desert) in order to deceive and destroy. But we'll get there in a few chapters.
Thank you so much for your reply the last verse in chapter 17 of Revelation tells the great city is the harlot we go back to chapter 11 and it tells us the great City which is called spiritual Sodom and spiritual Egypt where our Lord also was crucified chapter 16 tells us the wrath is coming on the great city which killed the prophets and the saints at the top of chapter 15 we see the song of Moses being sung right before the wrath of God chapter 19 we see all heaven rejoicing over the death of the harlot and this great City and it says you have redeemed the blood of your saints then and only then do we see the bride she is adorned and white ready for the marriage sorry for jumping all over the place at the end of chapter 18 they have killed the prophets and the saints Jesus said a prophet cannot die outside of Jerusalem Jesus said chapter 23 of Matthew that you have killed the prophets and the saints and I will send you profits and saints and you will kill them and that they will pay from able to Zachariah this is a great judgment coming on Jerusalem your house will be left to you desolate Luke 23 the woman of Jerusalem are weeping over Christ he said don't wait for me wait for yourself and your children blessed are they who are bearing and do not give shock for they will cry for the rocks to fall upon them Revelation 6 hope this is understandable LOL thank you for your reply God bless you my brother in Christ
Thanks for the brief but blessed overview Pastor! Glory to God
Thank you!
The first trumpet was blown in exodus section plague of hail… says it right in the Bible 1611 king James which proceeds new king James
Revelations is Paul on LSD
My name is Jonathan Bijja. Read my book. All you virgins( pastors) and lamps(churches) are in sleep.
It'd be cool if you put the verse up while you're discussing it, at least briefly, so viewers could pause and read it.
That's an interesting idea. I'll have to give some thought as to how that might work. Thanks for watching! -Pastor Nathan
I remember when i first had a real in depth study on the two witnesses. Extremely eye opening to so much. Thx for your work here
❤
Blessed to hear these videos!
THANK YOU.
But he names the tribes of Israel.
Pastor Nathan here. Thank you for watching and the comment. John certainly does include a list! I didn't have time in the short to address the list of tribes, but a few thoughts: the names of the tribes don't lineup perfectly with what happened in the Old Testament. Certain tribes are gone (Dan and Ephraim) and others are combined, and the order of inclusion is not according to birth but something else (possibly their connection to the Messiah, hence Judah being first), pointing to their inclusion meaning something other than the literal tribes of Israel. Further, the whole of this vision is constrained by the time period from Jesus' ascension to His return (as demarcated by the opening scene in chapter 5 when Jesus, the Lamb, ascends to take His throne and the reality that the seventh seal hasn't been broken yet in Revelation). My take: the list is about the faithfulness of God's people, cleansed of apostasy and idolatry, here representing the church.
Love this sermon series that Dr. Maxwell put together.
I would not do well alone...
