Channel about counted cross stitch, I stitch a lot of full coverage, but also enjoy non-full coverage pieces, so you'll get a bit of everything.
Flosstube #8 I'm still here!!
March, April and most of May stitching. SAL-palooza and all the new starts!

Flosstube #4 November Progress, Little bit of Haul and 2024 Plans!
O.m.goodness i have so many videos to catch up on🥳🥳🥳💓💜💚💙💖💗
I hope you enjoy!! I’m on hiatus for a bit because I got a new puppy and stitching has been difficult, let alone finding time to film. I’m hoping for an end of year WIP parade.
I always love watching your videos. You more than likely will run out of floss on the Book Nook by Paine free Crafts since you’ve switched from a 28 count to a 30 count. I recommend 25 count. The same amount of floss used on a 28 count works on 25 count. If you continue on that 20 count and you do run out of floss, you will run into dye lot issues. If you don’t mind that, then go for it. I’m just making you aware and if you already knew that, never mind my advice. That pattern is so busy that the dye lots may make no difference. If that’s the case, yahoo! See you next time.
Great work!!! Great video!! Is there still openings in the facebook group that you are in that you are doing the haed 4 pages? I’d really like to join.
Unfortunately no, they had it up for sale at the end of last year and then they closed it down. I’m not sure if they will do another one for 2025 or not, but if you follow the official HAED group on FB that’s where I heard about it. I’ll cross my fingers that they have another one for 2025!
All the full coverages! Love it!
Thank you!! I do love full coverage ❤️
Great to,see you, again. You have some wonderful pieces. I really like your Aimee Stewart pieces. Also, you have some very pretty grime guards.
Aimee Stewart is so amazing. I get a lot of my grime guards from Maggie’s Minders in Etsy!! She’s great!
Happy to see you back again! Enjoyed the visit! 💜
Thank you! 🤗
heya welcome back, so nice to see your smiling face!
Thank you so much! I do want to get into a better filming cadence!
@@Secondwindstitcher you're fine, I once took a two year hiatus from my walking group lol life gets in the way things get busy as long as you're looking after yourself things happen when they need to :)
That is a true story!! ❤️
I loved seeing all your WIPS! I love Stanley Morrison's dragons too! I have Tea Dragon on my wishlist.
He’s such a fun artist!! The little details are what get me on the dragon patterns. So fun to find as you’re stitching.
Awesome progress on all your wips!!!! I'm working on the aquarium sal, too....very behind but it's lots of fun! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
You got this! It’s so much fun to stitch!! Enjoy ❤️
So happy to see you!! Love all the projects that you're working on!
Thank you so much! ❤️
I love the variety of patterns you have. How many hours a day do you work on full coverage pieces?
On most evenings I stitch about 3 hours maybe? Weekends are longer if I don’t have a lot going on. When I was in the groove with my focus full coverage pieces it was 45-60 minutes each day and then I would switch to a different project for the rest of the time.
Wowser. You have some really fantastic pieces in progress. So pretty.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
Great to see you back - you've definitely had a busy three months of stitching! I'm impressed with how much work you manage to get done on your full-coverage patterns. I don't have nearly as many as you but I always feel like some are more neglected than others. Look forward to seeing another flosstube from you soon 😊
Thank you!! They are certainly a labor of love! Every stitch counts! There are so many beautiful things I want to work on. ❤️
Thank you! They are a labor of love, but very stitch counts. There are so many beautiful patterns I want to work on ❤️
Happy Belated Birthday!! 🎉I'm extremely behind on watching Flosstube. 😊 I love your HAEDs and all of your birthday stitchy kindness! I am also a girl who loves sea turtles (and LOTR). ❤❤ You're almost to 1K! I can't wait until I hit 100.😂 Happy stitching!😊
Thank you!! I know the feeling of being behind on Flosstube! I’m behind on getting my next update out, these last couple of months have been a little busy for me!!
Wicke is a bad azz bee for sure!! ❤
I can’t wait for her to get called!
I was also a monogamous stitcher until I found flosstube! ❤
I love how you have a qsnap for every single project 😂 I hate to put my projects in and out of it, but they are so expensive 😢
I did finally have to stop buying so many q-snaps, but a lot of my big pieces stay in them cause it’s too much of a pain to swap it out 🤣
Wow, there are a loooooot big full coverage projects! I guess you have to figure out how to live forever 😂 I’m looking forward to see your progress, I’m going to catch up now with the videos 😊
It’s a good thing that I’m mostly a process stitcher and not a progress stitcher! 🤣
Love seeing all your progress. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for watching!
It's so nice to see someone else with full coverages!
I love full coverage! Do you have a favorite that you’re working on?
Oh gosh! I have probably about 30 full coverage wips, so I can't pick a favorite!@@Secondwindstitcher
Great video! I like hearing the numbers. Makes me want tot track my numbers and see how I do😊
Thank you! It has been interesting. I had been tracking how many stitches with full coverage for a couple years since I started using Pattern Keeper, but I hadn’t ever looked at overall numbers per month, etc. so it’s been interesting to count everything this year.
Loved your update Angie! Great numbers!! - take care Nic x
Thank you so much!!
Yay, your February update! Great progress, always fun to see your projects. I understand not being in the Christmas stitch mood. That is a cute chart...maybe for another time.
Yep, it’s just temporarily in the UFO pile. Maybe more of a long term time out 🤭
Wow! I love seeing all the beautiful full coverage designs you have on the go. Thank you for sharing! Happy stitching! ❤
Thank you! 😊
😃🦄🪡💙
Enjoyed visiting with you and seeing all your gorgeous WIPS! Happy belated birthday! 💜
Thank you!! Are you going to Stitch New England again this year? If so, I’d love to be table mates again.
@@Secondwindstitcher I wish I was! That retreat was so fun but this year I will be in California at that time visiting friends and stuff.
I'm a numbers nerd, so have at. :) edit: I'm also eyeing a Long Dog start - Pandemic - and everyone seems to be doing it in silks4u, but I don't have a lot of experience with silk floss (and haven't loved what I've used - Caron, mostly). Thoughts?
Not all silks are created equally. I love the Silks4u silks, I rarely get knots with it and I’m comfortable stitching with two stands on 18 ct, which is what I do most of my Long Dogs on. I haven’t actually stitched with Caron silks yet, and while they feel lovely, I can see they might tangle a bit more than I would like. But hey, there are lots of cotton thread options too. Dyeing for Cross Stitch has some really cool variegated options and she sells them in large lengths so you are sure to get the same dye lot. Thanks for the feedback on the numbers 😁
@@Secondwindstitcher Thanks for taking the time to reply and offer suggestions! I'm hardly a new stitcher... but perhaps an uncreative one. That's okay.
I am not terribly creative when it comes to altering patterns and I agonize about my choices for the ones I do customize.
@@Secondwindstitcher Oh, I understand that! Amusingly, the one I went whole hog on customizing was my Lavender & Lace Celtic Winter - from colors to body. But that was all DMC so, apparently, I went "eh, whatever." So I still haven't decided on what to use for Pandemic but I've also told myself I can't start it, yet, so I guess it's moot.
Loooooooooooong time follow up here. I caved and ordered Silks4u for my eventual Long Dog Sampler Pandemic start (I put it in my etsy cart and then got a discount code). You're right; they're lovely and I think they'll be nice to use. However, I feel like I might also want to cake them on my yarn swift and ball winder!
I’m trying more 36 count too. I do think it’s a lot easier for me to see than forty. Happy stitching!
That is good to hear!! I will have to play with one stand vs two on the 36ct to see how I like the coverage for each!
To answer your question: don't really need to hear about numbers, but don't mind percentages:-)
Thank you for the feedback 🙂
I loved seeing all the Aimee Stewart!! She’s just the best. And I now have the highland cow from Paine free on my wishlist. That’s so pretty and I’m very much in love with those cows. I have one above my bed😄 Not sure if I should thank you for showing that or be annoyed😂
I love the Highland cow chart so much!! You can be thankful and annoyed at the same time. 😊 I understand that blend of feelings very well. I have a few other Aimee Stewart’s it’s just funny that a bunch of them got called so early in the year.
Great Video. We have similar tastes in projects.
Thank you!!
Loved seeing your WIPs. I am stitching Aimee Stewart super sized regular colors Once Upon A Fairytale.
Oooh that one is so pretty!
I am pretty new to ful coverage. I have 2 haeds started. With my first Haunted house by Dona Gelsinger i started royal rows with parked threads and did not like that. I have started cross country with 310. I feel like i am able to get lots of stitches quickly. My second i just started the limited edition mini couch potato i am trying cross country typewriter method. Trying to find my preferred method but love every stitch. Love the numbers with the progress myself.
Thank you for the feedback on the numbers 😁 Finding your sweet spot for preferred stitching method can be challenging. Which is why I’m thinking of trying something new with the Cozy Winter Evening to see if I like ECC. I do limited cross country now within my Q-Snap frame so that would be the biggest change, moving the Q-Snap more. We’ll see how it goes!
Enjoyed seeing your stitching and catching up with you. I am also working on Peacock Topaz - just reached 50%. Love your Belle. Enjoy the rest of your February. x
Thank you!! Both of those pieces are so fun to stitch it can be hard to out them down and work on others in my rotation!! Hope your February is treating you well 😁
Watching this on your birthday! I'm way behind on my flosstube! 🤣 Happy birthday! 🎉
Thank you! I did get my new start in for my birthday, she's a big one, but beautiful.
Enjoyed seeing your progress! All the full coverage ❤ I need to get mine back out. Thanks for the motivation!
Thank you!! And you are so welcome!! Welcome that stitchy big back 😊
Enjoyed seeing your progress Angie :) take care, Nic x
Thanks so much! 😊
Looks like you had a very productive January. Love all your wips but especially the Plum Street's. Have a great birthday this month :o)
Thank you so much!
I enjoyed your update. Lots of lovely top left corners you have there ☺️
Thank you! It is a lot of top left corners, I’ve tried starting in other corners and end up struggling, so I stick with what works for me for now 🤭
I love the stacking turtles!! And you made so much progress on the pride and prejudice!!!
I’m loving seeing the blue book come in, I’m glad I’m using it as a focus piece this year. ❤️
Hope you find your German Shepherd companion soon. They’re very beautiful loyal dogs. - Thanks for sharing your wips, those designs are fabulous and I enjoyed watching‼️
Keeping my fingers crossed!! Thank you so much ❤️
K... I asked the question about tracking and storage b4 the end. 😊
How do you store all the projects so you can keep track of them? Love them all but those Quaker ones are sweet.
The utility cart was a game changer for the active WIPS. When I have company over it can be rolled into another room and out of the way! Otherwise I have lots of storage in my craft/guest room for all the other WIPs, kits, charts and thread. Then I have a rolling clothing rack with shelves where I hang all my fabric.
Really enjoyed your video! So glad to see more people tackling the 310! 💙
Thank you!! I love watching your progress on all your projects!!
You could always do each hand in a different colour (assuming it's one hand per quarter)
That’s and interesting thought for the Hamsa, I’ll have to think on it and some more when it gets called for this year 😁
Fancy intro.
You did an awesome job on your first floss tube and I’m looking forward to many more.
Thank you so much!
Wow you have some big plans, can’t wait to watch them unfold! I am doing WIPGO for the first time and loving it! - take care, Nic x
I’m glad you’re enjoying WIPGO so far! It can be a lot of fun and has helped me get progress on all my projects.
I hadnt heard of Long Dog leap day!!! Omgoodness such a good idea. Amazing amazing wips. Thank you!
Thank you!! It’s going to be a fun year!! I’m so looking forward to starting Saga on Leap Day 😁
