I was so moved watching this service that honored Nell so very well. Thank you, Kim, for such a beautiful time of remembrance and love. Nell Bowen was an influencer in our lives for all that is decent and pure. I loved her so much. BTW...it was our house that she co-signed that note for, and you better believe we paid it ALL back, ON TIME.
OMG please pastor stop praying to Almight God with your hands in your pockets. I grew up in this church and we wore suits and had an organ and a choir. I am saddened to see the big change in how this congregation dresses and the loss of a choir. I know the word of God matters the most but this church used to look and sound great! Donnie Payne sorry for your loss of your dear mother. You know she was a big influence in my life. Praise God and all of you at FBC.
How do you feel about the identity-switch described in Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 4:22, Romans 6:6 & many other places. I'm starting to think the Biblical "flesh" is more than just our desire to sin. I wonder if "the flesh" is the ego, the root of selfish desire. The ego that loves to operate in false pride & for many Christians, feelings of deep unworthiness before their God. Both feelings, pride & unworthiness, allow the ego (the 'old man', the 'me' I think I am) to be the "star of the show" in my mind & distract me from my new identity in Christ. I've found a measure of peace by simply recognizing those thoughts for what they are, the old self making a racket 'cause it wants to be the star of the show, and then returning to the present moment, where my new identity in Christ is alive & aware & waiting. Thank you for posting this video. I appreciate it.
Powerful lesson. Life isn’t a game or a hit-or-miss situation, it’s living purposefully in order to BLESS God. My response to His great love. Powerful.

Thank you for sharing. Wonderful points to ponder! jt
Thank you for this time of sharing. It was special!
A lot of chuckles when the Pastor was speaking (from Manhattan, Ks.).
I bet that he's also very respectful of the elders in the church because of his relationship with his grandmother.
