Do you have your drawings of your tray
Hey mate do you have the drawings you used and would you share them?
Nice vid! Keen to see the 12v! Just finished welding my unistrut into my canopy and am working on mine too
@@toolowgo nice man I can’t wait to get it finished
What gauge steel did you use
@@nicholasmiller4557 it’s aluminium and it’s 3 mm mostly
@@Ozoffroad_ do you still have the plans and would you sell it?
love the tray dude! im 17, my dad and I are completely modifying a fleet trade tray, making up a whole new rear section, headboard and a cooler style rope rail. Youve been a huge inspiration for my project!
@@notmkr-busta2937 thanks mate good luck with ya build and and thanks for leaving a comment 🤙🏻 funny story I was going to make a tie down rail for mine but never got around to it.
@@Ozoffroad_ cheers, urs looks good with the boxes anyways i reckon! Do u have a ig page? Ill send a pic
@@notmkr-busta2937 yeah man it’s Oz offroad as well I don’t upload on there much I’m hopeless haha
@@Ozoffroad_ just send ya a dm
Glad to see you back mate
@@mazza9753 thanks man good to be back 🤙🏻
Would love to see more videos! Even a rundown if you’ve finished the build!
@@toolowgo thanks man never going to be finished I don’t recon haha upgraded my rear suspension video drops tomorrow. And have just spent heaps of $ on 12 v for the canopy but still need a few things but that will probably be next video 🤙🏻
@@Ozoffroad_ awesome! Looking forward to it! Currently in the process of using your idea for the uni strut welded to the floor 👍🏻
@@toolowgo sweet as mate sounds good I’m kind of thinking of doing a ply floor now maybe but at least the aluminium is way lighter than a full timber floor. I dunno what I want tho I keep changing my mind 😂
Looks mint bro 👌 what bullbar have you got on it?
@@brettdeamyand7685 thanks mate it’s an afn bullbar
Great video mate load of good info here. I have an N80 and planning on getting a 2inch lift however I'll most likely be staying with the stock tyre size so hopefully nothing hits and alignment works out. I noticed on some of my mates N70 the UCA hit the springs on full droop even on the stock tyres.
Cheers man, Yeah shouldn’t need it if you only go 2 inch and they probably have more than 2 inch lift or so. It doesn’t have anything to do with your wheels. That’s only if your tyre rubs on the uca or something, if you go big lift it pretty much pushes the uca down as the car goes up if that make sense, that’s why you get different ucas to clear your springs and for better alignment 🤙🏻
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're hoping to do some sponsorship with you!
Great content this is making me want to do my own now. Thank God 🙏you and your family are okay wishing you the best mate 👍🫡
Thanks mate🤙🏻 we are all good now man only up from here 👍🏻
Nice job!!! whats the Cigweld model your welding with?
Cheer bud 👍🏻 model number is W1008185
Nice work mate, very well done, what bolts did you use to bolt your guards & toolboxes onto the tray with?
Thanks mate appreciate the comment they are m10 stainless steel bolts and I used rivnuts pressed into the tray. And they are still going strong 💪🏻
Cheers mate, will have a look, I was going to use Tek screws, but that seems dodgey to me. 😂
@@M3gsy42 haha yeah dodgy but not depend how many you use I suppose haha I just have a rivnut gun so I used it but they are worth the investment man I just got mine off eBay
Nice work mate!
Thanks mate
Awesome build mate, the tray looks sick
Cheers mate 👍🏻
This tray build is awesome ! Do you have a list of what aluminium that you used and how much you used. Looking at doing a build myself and trying to get a rough quote on materials Cheers
Hey mate cheers for that message me on Instagram I’ll shoot you some screenshots!
Great vids! How much ali did you end up purchasing? How many lengths? Cheers!
where’d you buy all the metal for the tray from ?
Hey mate I bought it from a place called mates rates steel. They deliver from the goldy up to Gympie last time I checked. They are located in Wamuran. Back of Caboolture
Hey Mate, just watched all the tray build series. Awesome work. Inspired to try myself.
Cheers mate anything is possible with practice 🤙🏻
awesome videos mate, perfect insight for those considering doing something similar. keep it up legend!!
Cheers mate I’ll try keep em coming. 🤙🏻
Is the uca worth it? I only had 2 inch lift
Hey mate if you have no problem with alignment and hitting on stuff then there is no need to get them but if you go a bigger lift and stuff starts to hit it even different wheels you may need to consider them. Hope this helps 🤙🏻
Looks awesome Mate just wondering where you bout those taillights from?
They are from www.ozled.com.au/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAnrOtBhDIARIsAFsSe53sldsuUzhD8xgZpKclDZ6gvuYul_WxaR9LhFK6HT_kNeoYG9XQkYoaAlHJEALw_wcB 👍🏻
Mate, I'm a metal fabricator and am about to build my own tray. You did a top job and love how you showed and owned your f#€£ ups along the way. Love ya work man. 👍
Thanks mate glad to hear that from someone who does it for a living 😂 as im only a carpenter and tig welding is just one of my many hobby’s 🤙🏻 I have honestly been waiting for a fabricator to come along and say "I wouldn’t have done it like that" 😂
Nice work mate!
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Question , Are you using thin wall aluminum ?@@Ozoffroad_
@@jamesg2343 it’s all 3mm mate except for the main bearer/rails and chassis mounts they are 6 mm
Hope your doing well mate! Just watched all the build videos, great content, keen for the future videos 👌🤙
Thanks man all is going well 👍🏻 thanks for the comment man definitely makes me want to do more
Good build series.

Mint video mate! Keen to see the next vid
Is it necessary to drill? I get anxiety having to drill into the car incase I mess up. Am I able to just use the one bolt for the Antenna Bracket
Do what you wish mate. You don’t have to mount it there. Make your own bracket or something, also if you drill a hole you can paint the raw metal and if you’re afraid of rust. 🤙🏻
How you recovering well mate
Yeah good mate I’m all healed up it’s still irritates me every now and then
Why didn’t you change the springs in the back
Holy shit mate. Glad to hear you are ok and looking at it in a positive light. Good content 👍🏻
Thanks mate and yeah only more good videos from here. 🤙🏻
thanks mate. i dont really know what im doing so this is much appreciated. great video. ill be putting my diff breathers in soon
No worries mate glad I could help 🤙🏻
Love the videos mate thank you
No worries mate thanks for your comment 🤙🏻
Is front bullbar diy?
Unfortunately not mate
Hi mate what offset are them rims ? I’m thinking of getting same rims +15 would that poke out ? I’m going to run 285x70 17r with 2 inch lift
Hey mate mine are 0 offset so if you get +15 they shouldn’t poke out at all, mine only just poke out 🤙🏻
@@Ozoffroad_ oh thanks mate that’s good to hear I’m just wanting them to line up with the flares but don’t mind a lil cheeky poke. I’ve got a 218 sr5 and the guy at the tyre shop has recommended +15 but you have 0 offset with 305’s and I’m running 285’s so I’m thinking 0 would be the go for me also trying to avoid minimal scrubbing
@@e8tmidk mine are 285 75 16 so they are still 33inch and mine stick out a little bit. positive offset will give you less poke and negative gives you more 🤙🏻 if you have flares you should be able to run more negative or run what I have and it will be legal and look good.
@@Ozoffroad_ thanks mate I appreciate the advice, just trying to have minimal rub I know the more - offset creates it.
@@e8tmidk yeah scrub sucks aye hahah mines now bad now the tyres have worn down haha
Hey bro what cigweld machine u using?
Hey mate I used both of my machines I just made a new video and in it I talk about my welders if you wanna check it out 🤙🏻 I use the cigweld 185 and the 205 acdc
Hell yeah. Another sick wheeler channel to watch. Keep on truckin brother
Thanks mate I appreciate it 🤙🏻
thank you for your tray build its so helpful
No worries mate 🤙🏻
Hope your well mate...tray looks pretty sick cant wait to see the canopy setup.
Thanks mate canopy will just be a few mods and powder coating then maybe a cheap fit out video cause I don’t have huge amounts of money to spend on 12v stuff hahah maybe when I do another build I might have a better setup. But I’m keen to make more videos so thanks for watching mate. 🤙🏻
Holy fuck Mate, Hope you are all well. Loving the N80 Bulid
Yeah mate all good now just a couple battle scars. Cheers for the support mate 🤙🏻
How much roughly did all the aluminium cost for just the tray ?
Hey mate it was around 1260
Nice clean look. thanks for the video.
Thanks mate and no worries. 👍🏻
Love the build mate! What fittings did you use for the tap and filler to go through the panel?
Cheers mate I just got a quarter turn tap from Bunnings and drilled a hole for it and used this www.bunnings.com.au/holman-12-x-20-25mm-brass-bsp-tap-adaptor_p3130730 To screw it to the back of the panel and had another one I used for the filler part. I hope this helps mate. Everything was from Bunnings they are all hose fittings so just go in and have a look you will work it out 🤙🏻
Hey mate, what welding gear do you use? Wanna buy a tig.
Hi mate I use these www.totaltools.com.au/138201-cigweld-weldskill-240v-205-ac-dc-tig-inverter-w1008205 www.totaltools.com.au/119221-cigweld-weldskill-185-multi-process-inverter-welder-w1008185?BCampaignName%7D~%7BAdGroupName%7D&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy_bOio70gAMVClorCh0pCAdjEAQYASABEgJnGPD_BwE Hope this helps mate 🤙🏻
What did the aluminium alone set you back without the boxes and lights ect
$1260 mate 🤙🏻
Fuck that’s not bad at all I was expecting a lot more than that
@@dylancarter1531 yeah the tool boxes alone are more than all the ally 😂
@@Ozoffroad_ worth it but the finished product looks mint
@@dylancarter1531 cheers mate canopy won’t be far away
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate the tips.
No worries 👍🏻
Tray looks mint, how did you figure out the tray mount lengths
Cheers mate. I had the tub off and put a straight edge along the chassis mounts and measured down from the bottom of the window to the straight edge then minus the tray headboard hight to underside of the tray and that gave me the length I needed to make the mounts. Hope that makes sense man 🤙🏻
