I found a perfect mineshaft as I was going down.Found a vain of gold and some redstone and a lava pit about the size of a small biome.With a highest point of 20 blocks.

got from this mine: 10 gold 54 charcoal 33 iron ingots no diamonds yet but just started this 30 mins ago......... had a lava problem

People still subscribe to papermario1995 when there are several videos all over the channel that say that I'm not updating that account anymore...

It's just more efficient for your tools of you just dig through that one bit in the middle. But if you don't really care about the condition of your tools, then that's definitely the way to do it.

Yeah. Papermario1995 just doesn't sound very good, and so I wanted to create a channel that I could actually enjoy the name of, so I made a new one. I get ticked when people still subscribe to this one even though I've stated on several videos and made a entirely new video saying that I don't use it anymore, and that LoopyPaladin is the one that I upload to now.

I agree. I always have chests set up every so many rooms just in case of some misfortunes.
