MAN Charity Football Tournament
The MAN Charity Football Tournament took part in aid of the Alzheimer's Society, on Saturday 21st September at Super Marines FC, Swindon. This indoor five-a-side mixed gender tournament welcomed teams from across the business.
Friends and family were there to spectate on the day and even Lenny the lion made a appearance with a charity shootout.

This is the dumbest and most dangerous stuff i've heard in a while. A small car is not the only thing you can hit, and smashing your head on the steering wheel or falling out to the side will impair your steering more than an airbag. European manufacturers are putting them in. It's just that americans as always don't give a damn about customer safety. Unsubscribed.

So M A N came out on top of the fuel figures 11 mpg , now your running Mercs and there’s no way they achieve 11 plus mpg mercs are cheap and nasty it’s all about cost not driver comfort
The Merc is getting the fuel figure. But I agree the MAN is more comfortable to drive. The new one will be superb if you can get one. I'd like to see MAN back on the yard again.Over nine years I had four and none of them let me down. If a driver tells me they don't like them my first thought is I wonder if you were trained to drive them.
And it's true the last Euro 5 MAN I had a 12 plate would regularly achieve 11mpg.
I reckon it won't have the conventional wing mirrors. 😬

@Batojiri1 thanks for the reply.in the uk with a SCR fault the engine derates after 50hours at 60%.in the uk manufactures are looking at urea suppliers water supply,as in scotland we have soft water,england have have hard lime in their supply which has an effect on the urea,and appears to becausing faults ..maybe the 1 supplier in the states is a better way to go as you technically know the standard is 100%
@norb0254 BASF pioneered the technology for SCR and Aqueous Urea, they are the sole monopoly in SCR technology. If you run out of Urea here in the United States the engine will shutdown and you will not be able to restart the engine till you put more in the tank. Likewise if you get under 1/4 tank of Urea the engine will derate 50%, under 1/8 tank and it will derate 80%, if you let it go till just before its empty you will be forced to drive at 25 MPH and have a governed RPM of 1,250.
@Batojiri1 ..in europe by law if you get a emission fault in either scr or egr then the engine will derate..I personally work on SCR systems .My point with MAN was over here,what in the states is called DEF we in the uk call ad blue.And MAN used as their advertising strategy "AD NOTHING" as the championed EGR ,which is fair enough ,but to then find they are claiming they invented SCR just made me laugh and to now start seeing it on their trucks.Unfortunately i haven't had much to do with CAT
@norb0254 EGR derates engines, sorry bud but the only EGR system that actually works is Caterpillar's CGI Clean gas induction and they dont use that anymore. EGR is far less effective than current SCR technology unless you wanna spend millions of dollars engineering a gear based camshaft phasing technology that will work with 1,800+ lb-ft rotating force on the cam gear train without breaking said device.
a strange film from a company who liked to boast " ad nothing " whilst also pointing out the downside of ad blue scr technology..as oppossed to egr,and now appear to be the pioneers of scr technology ...wonder how they'll now champion scr to customers
