My visa got denied One moment the interviewer asked me that she wants to see more of my papers and next moment she asked which all places I would like to visit in USA and stressed that I should not look at my papers. And by the time I was replying she just said it's denied as I was uable to answer. I have all my papers showing my strong ties back at home but suddenly she decided to say it's denied and when I said I am replying to your questions but she said I should leave. I thought they would like to see my papers however the interviewer stressed I shouldnt look at my papers. How one can prove strong ties of coming back in such case. And that when I have travelled approx 20 countries before USA interview

As of now, H-4 spouses can only work in the U.S. if their H-1B visa holder meets one of the following conditions: 1) The H-1B holder has an approved I-140 petition. Or 2)The H-1B holder has extended their H-1B status beyond the standard six-year limit under AC21 rules. And so, even if the I-140 is still not approved, this extension allows H-4 spouses to apply for work authorization.
