First time watcher! Love the face cam! Great discussion and good insight. As a Kano lover the bans hurt, I won’t lie. But I think it’s better for the health of the game and frees up the design space. It’s pretty exciting, tbh. It’s looking like we’ll have three archetypal wizards going forward, and I really enjoy that. Osci as aggro, Kano filling a Tempo plan with a flashy combo to close out games, and Verdance as control/fatigue. It’s neat

I think these bans will make FaB a better game, but I really think a ban like this should’ve been handled differently… IMO they should’ve announced this ban like a month or two in advance. Some decks are now unplayable and people have like a week to figure things out

Dynasty haunts my nightmares

I really like how fast and confident the plays are.

Bright Lights felt like a forced pushed Set cause the mechanologist class has no major update with the addition of data doll since crucible. And if the Main Set release theme depends on the counterclockwise Art of the Flesh and Blood Cardback . The Area around Metrix would be deadlast at the 1 o´clock. For Reference MST is at the 3 o´clock Point .

Before the set was announced, James White did say this set was a risk. Not to mention he was a disappointed with certain aspects of the set. While I do think you're underselling the power level of the heroes, it's safe to say there were a lot of lessons learned from Bright Lights.

Great video, also on crack shuffle play, agreed that its probably going to be rough for newer players for learning the set with crack shuffle play or in general, mech cards having so little text or all saying boost leads to a lot of traps for newer players, like boosting whenever you can, or maybe trying to be super offensive and leading new players to just fatigue themselves instead of setup big turns, like the most complicated thing in FaB is monitoring your deck size and card usage economy to not fatigue. Also as someone who has been playing teklovossen non stop since BL, his position was pretty reasonable, he just had suuuuuppper polarizing matchups in both directions, like he couldn't lose to warrior or other mechs or guardians or assassins if he tried but also couldn't beat azalea, ninja, or kano without biiig deckbuilding changes also been playing hybrid teklo since BL and he has really good value, tanks dealing 9 overpower + on hit is as strong as sending max V every turn on a 2 card hand, also sidenote that singularity is a winmore into many decks and you could actively lose if you don't pitch stack it cause an early singularity will cause you to fatigue yourself T^T, but the new mst evos should have been in BL cause it just boosted the teklo playability soooo much more than before, hybrid teklo at least with new evos only has bad ninja, azalea, and brute matchups now, but its kinda the same as all mechs.... also if only we had the mst evos beforehand then teklo may have had a greater than 0% dromai winrate... also same on maxx, I reallllly just want a bunch of new constructs or cards that use hyper drivers or other items with material: do cool effect, "this card is a hyper driver" , they would add some cool alternate play lines for maxx. and dashio is definitely more a runeblade or kano, she can do cooler pop off turns than og dash but is very much on the whim of expected decks... I honestly agree that the set could have used more but I think it was all a product of mech for such a simple mechanic has a lot of depth, like 2/3 of the new heroes practically required pitch stacking knowledge to be able to beat several heroes each, and without any pitch stacking knowledge your matchup spread is mediocre which is not the best thing to hand a new player, like if teklo was given the new mist evos, and maybe another 1-2 power cards or evos that weren't singularity and then given singularity maybe 2 sets from now I think he'd be positioned in the meta. I hope we get one of those new hero CC meta decks soon honestly cause I personally believe that all the BL heroes actually have a lot of cool uniqueness to them compared to og dash but that they do need their own cards/specs to help distinguish them more, or for more people to win stuff with them, like the control teklo decks are potentially less viable now than they were when several won PQs last season cause of enigma's existence and ninja getting better. Hopefully next set with mechs is more beginner user friendly but this set was cool with a lot of fluff cards but beginner friendly it wasn't. ( Doesn't help that surrounding the sets release in a ton of other content creators kinda just set out with ok-ish deck techs that players based their talishar gameplay on)

I agree with most of what you've said in the video, and the points are well explained and concise, this was an enjoyable watch! If I had to nitpick, I'd say that BL heroes dont feel that much like shadows of Dash IE to me (except Vossen, he's just bad). Dash I/O has one of the most busted hero texts in the game, knowledge of your top deck and "(R): draw and play an item from your deck at instant speed" is ridiculous, specially if you are netting an AP, and being able to play cards like Tome of Fyendal lets her have one of the most ridiculous cielings of any of the aggro decks in the game currently. She doesn't block for shit, but so did Fai, and she did aight until HH came out and gabe a fridge to every other aggro deck in the format. Also Symbiosis Shot is nowhere near as bad as you make it to be, loading 6 shots and hitting for 12 on a High Octane turn is your objective with DIO and means you just used your weapon to add 2 damage to every boost card, and hitting 12 damage for 0 resources is an unmatched rate MaxX is definitively a combo deck, but his combo is quite consistently up by turn 4/5, and he absolutely DEVOURS guardians/warriors/midrange.dek, much faster than slap Dash could ever hope for. The idea of him building other bots to help out of hyperdrivers is amazing tho, would love to see that!

It's an issue if buyer thinks after buying product that he/she should have skipped this set (which would be very reasonable in few FaB sets and maybe the game is designed such that you just don't need 30-40% of released sets). Maybe it's just a 5-10% of player base who are mechanologist enthusiastics.

Who ever said that Crack Shuffle Play is for Beginners?

First, let me preface that Dash is my favorite hero released because her ability makes a good benchmark to measure other mechanologists against because it only applies turn 1. Teklovossen I'm pretty happy about his position being incomplete, and I'm not entirely convinced he is as bad as people say. If they release a card for searching induction chambers and plasma purifiers (or perhaps an evo base with temper), then he should easily work as a replacement once Dash LLs. And I think his specialization is a perfect gameplan to come together in a couple years similar to how Azalea did. Maxx I'm not so happy about because of the availability of the mechanoid being a barrier to me (why didn't I buy when I had a chance?), but also because I think the mechanoid does set him apart from Dash and is a fun game plan, plus, so many cards in bright lights were dedicated to hyper drivers, it really seems like he should be the one to be meta. Dash I/O had a good start. I think she is the hardest to balance, as items are tough. So maybe Lss expected more and it just didn't work out. But at the same time, releasing a new top meta threat every set sounds like a sure way to get power creep, so maybe brightlights is just a better capture of Lss vision for the game. Really the part that bothers me is that heavy hitters didn't release any new mech weapons, or generic weapons that work for specific classes. Because losing the plasma pistol will be bad for mechanologist

I gotta say… I actually enjoyed Bright Lights… but I will admit… it did fall short on a couple of things… I enjoyed having more playstyles presented with the different heroes… and some HUGE support for my Mechanoid archetype… but one thing that broke my heart… The Marvels 😞

I think the failures of Bright Lights that you've laid out here were/are definitely disappointing buuuut are mostly inoffensive to me overall. Personally I've found Bright Lights a way less obnoxious mistake than the Tales of Aria experience.

Great video , funny I also thought of max getting little robot ally friends not to long ago. One thing I want to mention is the new head piece can put back nitro mechanoid and the singularity so I think that help will help a lot in teklo and maybe in max too if they run a base head and draw it

Much as I lament the top 10 illusionist cards not just being "IDK Pick ten of your favorite dragons", I think I agree with pretty much everything on this list. Not being able to play Dominia in my redline lists reliably is one of my greatest laments. Great video!

So my major issue with the past few sets (since ironically dynasty) we have not had a new hero type... Rage if you had to pick a new hero class to add to the game what would you add? Not sure about the way of the tiger but if i had to guess i would say it might come from the crimson Haze Rebels Ira founded because she is shown (Seemingly in the art) for some of the tiger cards. Not 100% sure have not gotten there via the lore yet, but will get there someday when get there with my lore series!

What I would like: Ninja. Adult Benji, Young Ira (for Blitz), Adult Ira. Weapons not tied to any one ninja. More support for Zen State. Ninja/Warrior or Ninja/Guardian cards might be nice, but they are not high on the list.
