Blow dryer on a stick!! Awesome!!
2 years late but fyi you got the phases wired incorrect. this 1800W set gets very very overheated when you hear the motor make this sound.
Did you have to replace alternator at all? I have a 2010 lexus es350 and installed a 800w kickers amp with 2 kicked comp 12s and had to replace the alternator after about a week or so, maybe I was pushing it too hard. Please let me know
@@NoelRivera-j4i still on the stock alternator been running for a few years as a daily driver now. The customer melted one of the subs and had me replace both of them with the comp x model a few months ago and still kicking on the stock alternator. Not sure if you watched the full build but I did upgrade all of the alternator and battery cables with 0 gauge as well.

Did you buy this stuff from a kit? Also where did you get instructions for this?

@@jamesgarrett4531 I usually go through Sonic Electronix . I just did a quick search on their site and if you're looking for a touch screen there's not very many options with CD. I've always been partial to pioneer stuff it looks like the Pioneer FH-S722BS is all I really see right now and it's not a touch screen. Soundstream VRN-7HB would probably be my choice from what I see if you need touch screen. It's getting harder and harder to find anything decent with a CD player anymore.
@@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS ok I'll check it out thanks
Thank you I'm trying to save my 22s as well ,I only paid $100 for them
@@joeyrangel228👍 hope they turn out nice
The fosi audio Bt20 pro powers these awesome at 100w rms per channel with the stock power supply, and even more with the higher voltage, higher amp adapter.
Awesome work. I've made a pair of bookshelf speakers using csc674's, and they sound fantastic. The kicker speakers seem to be great for diy builds.
@@jordankirkham1657 best "bang for your buck" 6x9 that I've come across yet
What car are those spokes going on and what size are they?
How big is that box?
Trying to hook up a 72v battery on a 72v motorkit yall know why it sparks up when I go try to connect it?? Wires are all good and correct double checked and everything, everything brand new as well
Hard to say for sure, check voltage with a multimeter it should be close to 75 on a full charge. Sometimes you can get a small spark when you first go to connect it that's just capacitors charging but it shouldn't keep sparking like it's trying to weld itself. If so something isn't right like positive and negative touching each other somewhere
thanks you for making this video It has helped me so much because i couldnt find a video with the electric motor that is used in this video so thank you very much keep posting
best awesomest video i have ever seen lol how amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much!
How much you charge for specs and design?
I've never done it that way. It's hard for me to do that without having the vehicle. I build each box specific to maximize the airspace in the area and fit in the vehicle. If I know what kind of vehicle it is I may be able to get my hands on one locally and go from there.
I wish I could’ve seen how the spray was applied like the vid that part was cut on this video lol
If I bring my phone in it will get over spray all over it quick. I tried to get some footage from outside the plastic but it didn't come out good at all.
That's cool.
Thanks!
Can u give a tutorial on how to hook the wires
In the final episode part 4 of that series, part ways through the video I do a rundown of all the connections if that helps
Dude awesome! I wanna see more driving footage of that challenger
Awesome I definitely do that👍
😆
You have a fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, vehicle bottom line put a smile on your face all that matters
Man, you did good great car great purchase with the six speed manual transmission. Great looking car
Thanks so much!
Would u reccomend this kit for a 110cc kids quad / ride on cooler project? Or would that setup not be good for a heavier project
If it has a transmission it should be fine if you gear it right you should have plenty of power to take off in 1st gear then shit up for more speed. If it doesn't have a transmission it's just in the speed you should probably go for more voltage.
@@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS i pulled the gas engine and was going to just use an electric motor. Im making a version of whiskey chariots ride on coolers. So more power ok cool ill look into something more powerful! Thanks bro
Are you talking about a little ride on cooler like pit bike? If so I think it would be good for something like that You're probably going to only be going 20 mph or so I think it's fine if geared right.
@@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS basically i took a childs quad, took the engine out. Lengthened the frame and placed a beer cooler in the middle. If you google whiskey chariot its a replica of that
I see what you're saying now. I think it would be plenty cuz you're probably not going to go too fast on that thing just gear it for low speed.
Ooo how did you connect the reverse switch to the controller? I got the same kit.
It plugged right in to one of the connectors on the module but I don't remember how it was labeled exactly. In the final episode of the build I put a rundown of all the wires and labels and how they connected, it should help. I know they were translated and some of them didn't really make sense and I had to do some googling to get them all figured out.
I’m actually extremely impressed by the subwoofer box design! It all fit so well in the end.
Thanks so much!
That ride on did a wheel spin, seems much faster than a standard 12v truck. Did you boost the battery and motors on it?
It's all stock but it does pretty good
Yeah, any head unit without a volume knob is a deal breaker. I did have a 2-din Pioneer touch screen I liked, but think it had hard buttons for volume up/down.
Any painted parts (MDF), what I do before painting: water down some white glue or wood glue and brush on 2 coats with a chip brush, let dry, then paint. It seals the MDF so the paint doesn't absorb into the wood, leaving a dull finish.
When people hear this drive by they shake their heads and girls quickly put their pants back on
Yeah it's basically just for us obnoxious bassheads🤪
Please kind sir invest in a portable oscilloscope for setting the gains on an amp so you're not possibly allowing distortion coming from off the headunit and in the amp.
A good ear works well for the head unit too.
can you tell me how tall that box is
I looked in my file and that's missing. I feel like it was close to 15". I remember there being a small bump out on the back of the seat at the sides above the inner fender wells in the trunk that the top corners of the box pushed onto with a few inches of clearance above the subs to the torsion bars below the deck lid.
They usually snake the mic wire up near the visor. Hope that helps. Keep up the good work. Enjoying the videos
Thanks! Yeah I've seen that a lot with the mic and I don't like how obvious it looks. I really like when they are built into the head unit. Just a tiny hole on the face no one even notices
You should try using neodymium magnets to hold on your beauty panels and keep up the great videos
Thanks 👍
Those batts suck!! They cannot put out the amps needed
Thanks man, turned out perfect for my boy!
@@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS lol, well ja, until he watches Tim Allen Home improvement episodes and asks for MORE POWER!!!!
wicked just a tad slow haha im sure a stock 197cc 6.5hp motor is at least twice as powerful and only 100bux
Definitely correct, you can go higher voltage and get to those kind of numbers but for user friendly ease of drivability for kids it's great. No carbs gumming up if it sits a couple months and snappy mechanical clutches are rough for beginners too. Again, for all out power and speed I think starting with a Hemi would be the best choice
Love the build man 👍🏽
Thanks!
Im going to convert my sons hammerhead (2 seat full cage) go kart do you think the 48v 1800w kit would be powerful enough or should I get the 72v 3000w
48v may be pushing it with 2 people on rough terrain. I would go with 72v and you could always slow it down with the high med low switch for starters and with the right gearing it should be plenty of power for the 2 seater.
Very nice sir and I love the step by step videos. I have an old go cart that my kids had. Now I’ll do this electric setup for my grand kids! Thank you for the info.
That's awesome thanks!
Hello, I bought a set with a 3000 watts 72v brushless motor in which the controller is also 72 volts, but the battery after fully charging has 84 volts, after installation nothing works, will replacing the controller with 84 volts help?
Yes the controller and motor should have matching voltage.
Thank you.
Nice set up..On the 6x5 did you run your on wires or used the factory wires?
Thanks, I used the factory wires in the doors
@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS OK thanks Man. I have the same car with 15inch Subwoofer in the back it rattles real bad when the bass hits do you know what I can do to stop the rattling?
@@deepee9601 it would take all of the interior liners out of the trunk and put sound mat on all of the sheet metal walls, floor including bottom side of the trunk lid. Two layers of it is twice as good as one. You should notice a big difference but you'll probably still get some flex.
@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS Thanks a lot Man
Wow 😅
Bad ass
Thanks!👍
yo probably thought of this bu yu can get an led spedo plugs right in
