Fassbinder had that peculiar slyness of homosexual traitors to the Fatherland. Mira seemed like the oddity old looking even then ordinary plain woman in his crazy menagerie of absurd melodrama of self pity and betrayal that wasn't supposed to be funny but was mostly totally hysterical. Marriage to an Arab for f... sake! The son puts his foot through the TV screen - Bonkers Fassbinder. As the dream of revolution faded in 70s Germany - the left turned on this race traitor homo with actual violence. His Third Generation 1979 betrayal debunking of the Red Army Faction with massive youth support was the ultimate act of cynicism from this oily disgusting proxy of Jewish producers. Then came his master stroke in the last Lola trilogy to avoid further problems he slyly set all his films in the 50s. A warped genius it's a guilty pleasure to be in his world of the self pitying victims who are actually vermin. 😂 Most likely he faked his death. Which is parodic of his main character in Despair who cannot escape from the film. He died at the right time. Fassbinder a life time of luv to hate this genius of the 70s autuers. Chronic. 😂

myself as a starting out filmmaker, I would never have thought of bragging on my own films. It's very easy to think that when you see these great directors talking about how great this or that film of their own was, that they are expressing braggaddoccio. But then you realize how large of a production a film is, how big of a team, and in reality is giving credit where credit is due and praising his performers and the members of his crew for the magnificent job *they did on the piece they made together. That's an essential part of being a director-- is demanding exactly the very best, and then praising your team when they give it to you.

Ms. Mira said that Fassbinder made playing her role in Angst Essen .... very "easy". I find that her performance makes this one of the "easiest" films by Fassbinder to understand as a non-German speaker (mostly, speak more than the foreigner in the film). It was such a smooth-flowing film, in which I could identify with all characters like it was a "piece of cake" to flow along with. Yet the themes are so convoluted and complex, put into this simple presentation but with so much depth in all characters and the script. Seemingly easy but very complex. Truly the work of a craftsperson who could reach out to people at whatever level they were at in the layers of meaning everyone could pick out something identifiable. The acting was so smooth and cool but so deep and profound and penetrating.

Always enjoyed Herzog's films and his interviews and conversations about them. What bugs me about him (which has nothing to do with Werner by the way) are the sheer number of deadbeats on Twitter who've pretended to be him for years, which is thankfully now coming to an end (because they now all have to label themselves as parodies).

AN INCREDIBLY UNIQUE actress. Her karate analyzes and acquisition of human beings give us all an insight into a universe of colors, mystery and fascination. AN actor who paints with his karmatic abilities. A person we must never forget. These actors traveled all over Germany from their enormously burdensome history. Out of this art a new and vibrant Germany grew up again. Through working with the art of telling about people. My beloved friend was born in Weisensteen strasse in Berlin on May 5, 1942. Her father was a bookkeeper and German, her mother was a Danish nurse. Outside Berlin, many German good people lived in the colonial gardens. but all this comes in film. right? the history of man. i love you germany I have been to the east and the west. I know you. I know about your struggles. I have listened. it's time. the time to save everything down to the bone. remember I am in all and live in all. the history of germany is not just that of the 2nd world war. there are many details. everything lies in a kind of memory - deep inside all of us. there we are. with all our abilities. and we can. we are humans. this is how these fabulous people, actors, artists create a depth - which gives thoughts that everything is good. and all will be well. even the worst disasters. artists are family. and artists always save the world. thank you, dear actor.

It's incredible to see these magnificent directors talk about cinema, and how their careers have progressed through their films. I'm a fan of Herzog's movies, in fact, during Pandemic, my mom, and I were watching Aguirre the wrath of God, Fitzcarraldo, and Cobra Verde, starring Klaus Kinski who was important for Herzog's career as a filmmaker. Two of them made a great friendship, although they were about to kill each other, while shooting Aguirre the wrath of God.
