I tried farming this spot for Flame Cap, but there's a spawn toward the end that's up on a rock that I can't find a way to get to...anybody know of a way to get to that spawn spot?

Why wouldn't you keybind to a mouse? You can use all buttons including left/Rright. I don't understand why people keyboard bind it's so much slower? Also I see people who mouse steer that make huge sloppy turns that get people killed with several raid mechanics.

how did you swap ur capslock with ur alt button? i seem to be blind and cannot find how to do it
I did it in the software that came with my keyboard. A lot of keyboards nowadays come with software that let's you rebind things, etc. If yours doesn't. There is a way to go into your Windows registry and change it. I haven't done that in years, so I don't want to give you the wrong information and mess up your computer. But if you google how to change your keys in your registry in Windows you should find something.

Have a Guildie that's a die hard frost mage... Now his dps and player skill is on point but we didn't compliment each other well beings I'm a fire lock... Talked him into switch a couple days ago and today we ran a heroic... He was embarrassed at how much he was sand bagging himself and the people in his group...
It seems like we're getting to a point where it's getting harder to not be at least a little bit optimal. Hope that you guys are having fun

It's funny that you are pointing to 63 parse as the absolute bottom where people need to start from. When I'm parsing between 8 - 34 as a ret pally. Doing my best. Starting from scratch. Never filled DPS role before. I've always healed before.
Parse numbers don't show the full picture. If your group doesn't sync well with your class you won't be getting the best parses, for example if a Hunter doesn't have Imp FF from a druid then they need to run a 9% hit set which normally results in lower AP and crit rating. Also the time spent on the boss fight is a big factor too. You can be doing over 1k dps for the whole fight but if it takes 1 or 2 mins longer than other people playing your class then that parse won't be rated as highly.
Sorry didn't mean to offend. This is a great reply. Couldn't have said it better. Buffs and especially having a Shaman in your group for most classes are so important.
At the low levels you probably want to be more concerned with the iLvl/raw parse ratio and make sure it is > 1.0. This means that you are limited by something other than gear and rotation. At the high level (blue and above) you definitely need raid composition and group execution on your side.
@@andresmolinavillarino3312 My parses based on ilvl were a little better, but never good enough to be a blue rating. I started with the guild as a Prot pally, then was asked by raid leadership to be Holy. Kind of hard to screw up a one button rotation, so I was averaging 55% blue parses as Holy. Spent 4-5 weeks as ret trying to get the rotation down. With no training dummies I couldn't figure out how to get a way to practice my rotation. Anyway, my guild disbanded, and I unsubed, started playing FF14 instead.

Honestly, this is one of your best videos. Easily in your top 5 of all time. An absolute masterpiece. In only 5 minutes and 2 seconds you've perfectly characterized what it's like to raid with a number of people who share the collective IQ of a potato. Not only that, but you've thoroughly demonstrated to the world an easy and intuitive way of making classic WoW content infinitely harder by raiding with those who I would not trust to walk my dog. Given your choice of thumbnail and the thousand yard stare in your eyes throughout this video I can genuinely say that I feel your deep pain and sorrow. The fact that you endure these 3 hour raid sessions multiple times each week with such a dim group of people shows not only your tenacity as a human being, but your unwilling determination to be the best World of Warcraft player to ever live. Bravo.

Awesome video man. One additional thing I’ve noticed that drives a lot of peoples dps down is multi-target fights and their inability to cycle through targets quickly / efficiently. Some people play without enemy nameplates (idk how), and some people can’t seem to tab / click to the correct one. Can you add a 6th tip or trick for cycling through targets to maintain high uptime?
Great point. I originally wanted to add that and a couple more things, but spent way too long putting together what I had. Maybe I can do a part 2 at some point if it's been helpful. I also don't have a ton of experience playing ranged classes and I've noticed that I have a little bit more trouble when I play those as opposed to melee where I feel like I'm pretty decent with target swapping. What you recommended with nameplates for sure is a huge help. I started using the Plater addon this expansion and I really like it. There's an option with it that allows you to have stacking nameplates as well. This might be somewhat niche, but one thing that I've tried on my shadow Priest that helped a little bit was making sure that my Shift-Tab was bound to target last target. Not sure if it's optimal, but it let me go back if I accidentally skipped over the mob I was looking for or got a 1% chance resist on one of my dots. I liked it because the standard tab usually doesn't let you go back to the last target without cycling through all of them first, but I'm not sure if it's something that would be super helpful for everyone since I don't have a ton of experience with it yet. It helped me a bit though. Also having good key bindings for your other abilities makes it a little bit easier to tab during a global or cast.

With the latest patch in preparation for P2 this seems to have been even more nerfed.. The chest in the room with only those two mobs also doesn't appear to work anymore, one of the mobs just get stuck there and you can't grab it anymore without getting into combat...
Thanks for letting me know, I'll test this weekend. Mostly good on gold from Jewelcrafting so I haven't done this since the first couple of weeks. Made a good amount of gold from it early, but dropped off big afterwards. Thanks again.
btw you don't want to do any of these farms as sub, its garbage, you need combat swords, you can actually clear packs with Evasion+adren+bladefurry You can tell half these people who make these guides never played retail tbc or did the og chest farm, combat was the bis spec with decent gear. With combat you can actually do botanica with the increased aggro range blizz added, and just kill the mobs. same with mana tombs etc, can cleave 2 at a time with cds.
Im atm doing it with combat / sub hybrid. Some nice defense from sub. Works great
Farm is garbage on live servers, beta had the non nerfed version, as in you had instances spawning 4+ mining nodes, +4 chests with the boss chests that got removed during retail tbc in 2.2 It's hot garbage, on live there is only 2 mining ore per instance, 2 chests per instance, and it's the heavily nerfed versions of the chests, as it in 5 raw gold, 1 shittty green and some potions is 90% of the loot. also pickpocking resists are way higher, 1 out of every 5 mobs will resist and it's not viable unless you want to sit in 1 instances and wait for vanish cds everytime...... make more gold grinding primal's or open world gathering. You have mages making 1kg a hour aoe grinding Shadowlabs, slave pens, steam vaults rog farms are a joke with all the nerfs

Nope. To get the lvl 70 chests in underbog it does, but Steamvaults can be non heroic. If you're just there for the herbs it's easier to do non-heroic in Underbog.

I ended up going Jewelcrafting and making most of my gold that way. Especially early. The market is pretty stale right now though. A lot of people are pickpocketing in Steamvaults as well.
For the chest at 5:44, go farm some Magic Dust in westfall and use it on 1 mob, blind on the other
that wont work since u cant open up chests when infight. even when the "opening bar" fuels up, itll be interrupted in the end with "You're in combat" :/ nice idea tho
are there gas clouds inside underbog?
I've only seen the one in Steamvaults next to the second boss. Could be wrong though.
On the side room with two mobs why would you not just sap one blind the other and open the chest?

this chest farm was nerfed, impossible to do rn, back to MT farm boys :D
The one he actually does in the video and the one behind the corridor is still doable. I have about a 90% success rate on those, but have yet to get the one he talked about with the mob sticking around.
