Icon of the seas, is it for me
มุมมอง 11Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Daniella and I went on Icon of the Seas in early November 2024. We saw how beautiful it is, how huge it is, how it handles SO many people...and some puzzling things we wish they'd done better. Is it a ship for you? We hope to help you out here. And check out our instagram page! Daniella's put a lot of work into it: we_re_getting_there?igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw
Daniella is leaving me
มุมมอง 2752 หลายเดือนก่อน
Daniella has had ENOUGH. She's LEAVING! ...to Bermuda on a 5 night cruise with Royal Caribbean on Liberty of the Seas. She's taking her sister, Reina, for her birthday! Bermuda is one of our favorite destinations, for sure. And it's SO affordable to go there by ship! See what you think!
How to pack for an Alaska Cruise with Daniella
มุมมอง 6K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Daniella shows us how YOU can pack a weeks worth of stuff for a cruise to ALASKA. It's all about layers, all about versatility, all about practicality. Can it be done? Well...I don't know...let's find out.
Jewel of the Seas. Older cruise ships are great bargains sometimes.
มุมมอง 6928 หลายเดือนก่อน
The fancy NEW ships ARE beautiful. But DON'T overlook the deals to be had with cruising on the older, more unique cruise ships and routes. Daniella and I took the JEWEL OF THE SEAS for a 9 night cruise, ONE way, from New Jersey to Bermuda then Aruba, Curacao, and ending in San Juan. It was a FANTASTIC cruise! One of the BEST EVER. And it was SO affordable. Give it a try!
Celebrity Ascent. Is it for me? Also, the adventures of...WHAT???
มุมมอง 4768 หลายเดือนก่อน
Daniella and I go on the brand new Celebrity Ascent. Did we like it? Of course we did. A brief review and walkthrough of the Celebrity Ascent. Short. Sweet. Pretty.

The ULTIMATE Christmas vacation? Try a CRUISE!

With a little looking, you MIGHT be able to go on a FANTASTIC Christmas vacation WITHOUT it costing 3 times a normal vacation, and WITHOUT having to deal with AIRPORTS or AIR TRAVEL at all.
Is the Drinks Package Worth it Royal Caribbean
มุมมอง 1.2K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
My thoughts (and some math to help) on whether or not the DRINKS PACKAGE on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity is worth it for YOU
I loved your video, you're funny and I like tht so I subscribed 😅. I agree with all your cons, especially the pools! We went on Icon in September and had an absolutely amazing time, however the pool situation was .... meh. Kept getting splashed in the face by kids jumping into the pool...😅 I wasn't mad tho, they were just having fun. And yes, the adult pool was a bunch of social media people...super awkward when they're making their tictok videos in ya face lol 😅
"I PRESENT MY BABY TO YOU CHARLES XAVIER" Loved that! 😂🎉
Very helpful TFS
Love your channel 😊
I just subscribed. This is REALLY good content, and a fair balance of entertainment type commentary and tips and info. Well done. I'll check out the walkthrough.
What a fabulous review! Thank you.
We Just Subscribed and want to let you know how much fun this video was to watch. Smooth transitions and great commentary. We're looking forward to sailing on this ship, but first we are heading to Utopia of the Seas. From one new content creator to another, keep going and continued success.

I really hope I get to go on this ship for my 40th birthday in 2026!!!
Just subscribed! Great video. We just vlogged our trip on Wonder last month and put a deposit down in the next cruise office. We’re contemplating Icon so this video was super helpful! We’re a newer channel as well so if you have a minute to check out our stuff that would be awesome! Keep the videos coming!
Just checked it out! Great job!
Great voice! Thanks for sharing!
Algorithm brought be here, nice video, subscribed👍
I always love finding newer channels. Thanks for showing these great video's😊
Great video, thanks for sharing!
I love watching cruise videos. Makes me want to book one and just go
Awesome video!
My husband and I started cruising in 2013 as well. We live 45min away from Port Liberty in Jersey so that is always our go to. We figure the $ we save in not flying we put towards the cruise (drink pkg).
want to do the same one carry on and one backpack. thanks for the ideas. love your video and happy energy! 👍
Great video! Love your energy Daniella. How were the temps? Were there any clothing items you wish you had brought (or could have left home)? Also, from one curly girl to another, does the travel diffuser get the job done? Tempted to buy one and use the room hair dryer when we sail RC Brilliance of the Seas in 2 weeks. Could save a little room in my luggage if I leave my hair dryer home. Any feedback is appreciated!
This is a great video. Wish we could pack like that. We are flying Air Canada to Vancouver for our Alaskan cruise, and their carry-on dimensions are so small. which airline are you using and what brand of luggage are using for your carry-on? Thanks for the video.
The carry-ons are Seafew - the lilac one (mine) and his is Gieury. His I prefer actually. Both available on Amazon
We were West Jet for our flight
Thank you for your very concise and well edited (SOME BLOGGERS JUST GO ON TOO LONG) ..you showed all the best things to do - I'm going on Royal Carribean in Sept 24 - so your experiences were well with the view ...thankyou
First-timer, instant subscriber🎉 I've searched high and low to find the perfect Alaskan cruise video, and this is it. Thank you for sharing!
I've booked all inclusive for the dining on that ship. Do you think it's worth it? You dined in Chops what about other restaurants? I see your wife, like mine also likes the Curacao cosmos. :)
SO sorry for the late response, haven't checked this one in a while. If you get this in time, I'd suggest NOT doing the all-inclusive specialty dining...there's really only two specialty sit down restaurants on this ship, Giovanni's and Chops Grille, I believe. We've never been all that impressed by Giovanni's, but Chops is ALWAYS good...then I guess there's still Izumi (also good) and Chef's table...which I've never done as it's just a bit too fancy for my palate, but I don't know if the specialty dining all-in includes that one as it's considered PRIME specialty. If it DOES and you're dying to try it, then I'd say book that one several times to get your moneys worth. So, if you're asking me and it's just MY opinion, the only place I'd eat outside of the included restaurants would be Chops...so getting a 3 dinner package might be the better deal. I hope that helps! And have a GREAT cruise!
Love the videos! Iv'e been a silent watcher here for awhile, didnt notice I wasnt subscribed! +1 sub
You gave some misinformation. A call to Royal with just an explanation got us one deluxe package, the other person needed to buy a refreshment package, not just a soda package. The price of the package varies by ship and sailing. We have gotten the deluxe package for $57 per day, including gratuities.
Didn't mean to 'misinform' for sure...I was just trying to convey that, with the exception, the other person who can't drink doesn't need to get the drinks package but they still have to get a package anyway...sorry it wasn't super specific. Thanks for watching and chiming in!
First time watching you. I love both of your sense of humor. Breath of fresh air. I laughed. Thanks for the info and the laugh. 😂
Thanks Julie!
My mom and I were on the Solstice back in 2016 from Seattle to Alaska! We loved the ship AND the food!! We had a great time! Our balcony stateroom was a plus!! We took the White Pass Railroad tour in Skagway, walked all along Creek Street in Ketchikan and watched salmon swim upstream, it rained in Juneau but it was still a very nice visit! We love cruising and will be going back to Alaska on Princess this August!
Just love both of your personalities and your videos are very informative. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope and pray for an abundance of new subscribers to your channel. I am new to your channel and really like it that you are different from all the other cruise TH-cam channel people out there. Smart, down to earth and funny all at the same time.
I would appreciate knowing where you got the tanks with built in bra and also that pretty blue dress!
Hey Sue! They're from Uniqlo! Thanks for being here.
Both Uniqlo
Nice one Tommy. We were waving from the Island when you passed but I fear you missed us. 🙂
I was LOOKING!
Great video !!! We got lucky with the weather and you two !!! ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is similar to what I would be looking at for NZ, and yes! Dressing for dinner!
Thanks for being here!
great video! i’m new here and love the energy. i never pack more than a carryon and backpack no matter where i’m going or for how long, so i always appreciate getting new practical ideas. just a thought: in your intro, and i know you used air quotes, but i would suggest removing reference to your “normal” vs. your autistic son. just something to consider. my 20-year-old son is also autistic and i can’t imagine comparing him to his non-autistic sister in this way, esp. on a platform such as this.
A few minutes in and I love you guys. We're cruising to Alaska in July and also flying the same days as the cruise since its only a 2 hr flight to Seattle and we have a very early flight. I like your carry-on idea. I'm going to try.
Thanks a bunch!
What is the brand of backpack?
Mine (lilac) from Seafew and his (grey) is by Gieury ...honestly I like both...I prefer his.
@@daniellabarsotti9774 Did you get them from Amazon?
Nice organizing! But where does the knitting go?
We sailed on the Brilliance of the Seas (sister ship) back in 2008 on a Panama Canal cruise... it was fantastic back then!
P R O M O S M
I love that you guys have become avid cruisers. We have two coming up this fall and can’t wait!!!
How did you get all the shots with no other passengers? Did you get special access or pre-boarding?
We board early and Tom gets up early and shoots the ship while mostly everyone is still asleep
Hey, has anyone ever told you that you have a great voice... have you ever done radio? haha
We’ve gone out of Manhattan, Brooklyn and will be going out of Cape Liberty this fall. It is so much nicer than flying. Parking at the port and walking on couldn’t be any simpler. The overall experience was much better than the times we flew into Orlando, Miami and Houston.
But you’re not avoiding the: Christmas highway traffic 13 HOURS of driving which includes TWO border crossings Fuel costs for the above These things must be strongly considered and not ignored/minimized.
*avoiding
True, but keep in mind you're talking about BOTH ways. So, to be fair in comparing, this is 6 1/2 hours on day 1 and 6 1/2 hours on day 7. Very easy getting there and getting back. Vs air travel at Christmas time which is pretty much a blow-out of full days on day 1 and day 7. I'd rather take the 6 1/2 hours in a car vs full day in an airport with customs. I think that's fair, yes?
Fun!
Love it!!!
