Bro. I feel this so hard. I've never left a YT comment in my life. Ever! I love to read the comments but it always seemed scary to interact because people are mean and I've never had traditional social media; MySpace, FB, IG, Twitter, etc. like all my friends, so I've never tried to engage because I don't know how. But this felt necessarY. Anyway, I couldn't agree more, my 29th is around the corner and I'm like, what am I doing ?? Should I settle down and get married ? I don't even have a partner lol (still healing from a serious relationship). I'm trying not to let societal expectations and timeframes get to me but they creep up, how can you not? Especially because I've personally always envisioned partnership, kids, a mortgage for my life, but again is that social conditioning ? Idk. I've been blessed and traveled to many parts of the world for work but there's still so much to see. So do I do more of that ? A goal of mine is to own a home and I'm actively looking but if I try to buy a house as a single lesbian lol (I'm in the Bay, CA) I'll be fucked financially for a while... So I question if I should just keep traveling if it's nearly unattainable anyway. Idk. It's also so strange being at the tail end of the millennial generation and beginning of gen z, like I don't properly lay in either generation... Maybe you know what I mean. To answer your question, not really doing okay, but am fine, if that makes sense and will figure it out - I guess ? It's the crossroad portion you referenced where you're trying to further step into who you're going to be and what you want for your life, but you're not totally sure and nothing feels totally right. My guess is it'll never feel perfect and life is just leaps of faith? One day at a time ? Cliche, probably. I can't believe I'm writing all this.
