In Rev 20:4 is it referring to only the saints of the tribulation period or all the saints throughout history?
Hi Robert. Thanks for your question. I’ve thought and prayed about that very much over the years. My sense is that Rev 20:4-6, refers only to those who stay faithful (Jn 8:31, Rev 12:11) during the tribulation for a couple of reasons. (1) Rev 13:16, the actual mark of the beast won’t be required until the last half of the tribulation. (2) John 6:39, 40, 44, 54, 11:24, indicate that the second resurrection will occur on the last day (Rev 20:11-15) and will include everyone not in the first resurrection…which, if accurate, means that there will not be a pre-tribulation rapture.
@@seriousaboutheaven4659 but if the first ressurection is only for those during the tribulation and the second ressurection is for unbelievers then where are all the other saints throughout history during the millennial reign?
@@seriousaboutheaven4659 I agree the pre trib rapture is not scriptural therefore the first resurrection must occur after the tribulation when Jesus returns but it's very confusing because the worst used to describe the saints in Rev 20:4 seem to be describing only the saints during tribulation. .. but there are so many saints throughout history who were tortured and killed for their faith its hard to believe they wont be ressurected either. Are they not also the dead in Christ and don't they need to be ressurected as well if they don't take part in the second ressurection for unbelievers?
@@robertboutin6232 Luke 23:43, 2 Cor 5:8
@@seriousaboutheaven4659 luke 23 is referring to abrahams bosom and 2 Corinthians yes they are in heaven but they are still the dead in Christ. They haven't been ressurected yet because the first resurrection hasn't occured

There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - and there is only one type - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); usually unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language (in some cases, it is a language the speaker has learned). In contrast, the “tongues” Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians are producing today is an entirely self-created phenomenon. It is non-cognitive non-language utterance; random free vocalization based upon a subset of the existing underlying sounds (called phonemes) of the speaker’s native language, and any other language(s) the speaker may be familiar with or have had contact with. It is, in part, typically characterized by repetitive syllables, plays on sound patterns, alliteration, assonance, and over-simplification of syllable structure. It is also interesting to note that any disallowed sound combinations, i.e. consonant clusters, in the speaker’s native language are also disallowed in his/her tongues-speech. Further, this subset of phonemes typically contains only those sounds which are easiest to produce physiologically. There is absolutely _nothing_ that “tongues-speakers” are producing that cannot be explained in relatively simple linguistic terms. Conversely, when it comes to something spoken, there are absolutely _no_ Biblical references to “tongues” that do not refer to, and cannot be explained in light of, real rational language(s), though it may not be the explanation you want to hear, and it may be one which is radically different from what you believe, or were taught. _Nowhere in the Bible is modern tongues-speech advocated or evidenced._ “Praying in the Spirit” does _not_ refer to the words one is saying. Rather, it refers to how one is praying. In the three places it is used (Corinthians, Ephesians, and Jude), there is absolutely zero reference to 'languages' in connection with this phrase. “Praying in the Spirit” should be understood as praying in the power of the Spirit, by the leading of the Spirit, and according to His will.
Thanks for your comment.
The holy spirit depart from me 9 months ago I feel numb and no remorse no feeling no conviction no nothing what to do I feel like a robot . The holy spirit kept leaving it probably left for good permanently maybe reprobate and conscious seer with a hot maybe I grieve the holy spirit it left to blasphemy. No desire for God
Just to be sure of your salvation, pray this prayer: “Dear God, I believe you are real. I believe that Jesus is your one and only Son. And that You sent Him from heaven down to earth to pay for my sins. I believe that He lived on earth without sin and voluntarily died on the cross to pay the penalty that I should have received. I believe that He rose from the dead and is in heaven now praying for me. I admit that I am a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. Please save me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live for You all the days of my life. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.” Remember, salvation and the promises of God are based on faith, not feelings. Sometimes we sense the presence of God in overwhelming ways; sometimes we don’t. Rest assured, He is always present. Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.” Set aside time every day to pray and read and seriously study the Bible. Intentionally spending time with God changes everything. Every day pray to Ephesians 1:17-19, and 3:16-21. Be filled with Joy, because it’s all true. And if you choose to put your faith in Jesus, then one day you will have a mansion in heaven and live there forever and ever, in the very presence of God. John 15:11 "These things I have spoken to you so that MY JOY may be in you, and that YOUR JOY may be made full.
Amen
Their judgement is greater than ours . Now take away the sugar coating thoughts you have and truly you should understand that many cannot be around good souls in a good place . It's easy to know where your going to go.
There is a common misconception that souls "go" somewhere at death. However comforting that might be, it is not Biblical. According to the Bible the dead are in a deep, peaceful sleep which won't be broken until Christ's second coming.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. (Why would He need to bring us back to earth if we are already here?)
@@seriousaboutheaven4659 Thank you for your post, SAH. I am well aware of this (and other) passages which people believe _imply_ that the redeemed go to heaven. I find it puzzling that there are no passages which actually _say_ "Accept Jesus as your Savior and you will go to heaven when you die." That strikes me as a pretty big oversight. As far as I can tell, the Bible does not beat around the bush on any other important doctrine.
@@seriousaboutheaven4659 P. S. Regarding the verse you quoted, SAH, that is taken from a passage about the resurrection. Paul didn't tell the Thessalonians not to grieve because their loved ones were in heaven. He told them not to grieve because their loved ones will be resurrected. So, where will God "bring" the saints from? Not from heaven because they aren't in heaven; they are _"asleep."_ Paul says so. But God is going to wake believers up, just like he woke Jesus up. And on that day they will rise, not descend. All the best, my friend.
Who is God in Islam ? Muslims believe that God has no partners or associates who share in His divinity or authority and that God is transcendent, unlike His creations, and thus has no physical form. Nor is God believed to exist in (or be represented by) any material object. A number of divine attributes or “names,” which serve to describe God, are found in the Qur’an. Some commonly known attributes include the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving, the Most High, the Unique, and the Everlasting, among others....................................................................................
Islam honors all the prophets who were sent to mankind. Muslims respect all prophets in general, but Jesus in particular, because he was one of the prophets who foretold the coming of Muhammad. Muslims, too, await the second coming of Jesus. They consider him one of the greatest of Allah's prophets to mankind. A Muslim does not refer to him simply as "Jesus," but normally adds the phrase "peace be upon him" as a sign of respect. No other religion in the world respects and dignifies Jesus as Islam does. The Qur'an confirms his virgin birth (a chapter of the Qur'an is entitled "Mary"), and Mary is considered to have been one of the purest women in all creation..............................................................................
The Angel Gabriel was sent to Mary in the form of a man, with glad tidings of a child who was to be born miraculously without a father. “Then We sent to her Our spirit (angel Gabriel), and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects. She said: ‘Surely I seek refuge from you with the Most Beneficent (God) if you do fear God.’ He said: ‘I am only a messenger of your Lord: to announce to you the gift of a righteous son.’ She said: ‘How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?’ He said, ‘Thus [it will be]’. Your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.’” Qur’an 19:17-21 Some claim that his miraculous birth is evidence of Jesus’ divinity. However, Jesus was not the first to come into existence without a father, as Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) before him had neither a father nor mother. God says: “The likeness of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: ‘Be’, and he was. This is the truth from your Lord, so be not of the disputes.” Qur’an 3:59-60 Surely, if Jesus is worshipped due to having no father, Adam is more deserving of worship since he was created without either parent...................................................................................
Unfortunately, another misunderstanding by this speaker is 1 Corinthians 5:4-6. He has taken this out of context too even though the context is seen following the very next verses. This type of theology is what occurs when we cherry pick verses and ignore the surrounding text. This is what they taught, and still teach in schools, not to do so that we comprehend correctly what we are reading and grasp the context. This speaker jumps from one chapter to another in an attempt to support his theology. I myself am guilty of this in my past when reading the bible, but over time I learned of God and those whom God put before me to understand the misunderstandings we can have when reading what Peter already attested to as hard to understand at first. *(Paul's writings)* 1 Corinthians 5: 7-13 7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. Notice the speaker does not continue to verse 7 and beyond. He stops exactly at verse 6 and even ignores verses 1-3. Pass verse 6 we see the full context and truth. Verses 4-6 are not about just putting someone out so that their spirit *may be saved.* Notice it says *may, not will.* This putting out that Paul speaks of was for the *hope* that through the destruction of following the flesh a person will repent and return to God and thus be saved in the end. Think about it... Someone who is professing to be Christian while living in willful ongoing sin, we just kick them out and be at peace that they will still be saved? Then there is no point in kicking them out IF that was the case... But alas, it is not the case... Why? Because Paul, in the very same book, says fornicators, adulterers, all alike who do unrighteousness, will not inherit the kingdom of God. That's eternal life, that's heaven... As Paul says in verse 7, we purge out the wicked person, the old leaven and continue NOT with the old leaven nor with any other wicked leaven. But instead, the leaven of sincerity and truth. So why is Paul telling us to put such a person out of the fellowship? He says it in verse 12 and 13. Given that we judge them that are within the fellowship ("do not ye judge them that are within?") by their works, those that are without, God judges. And so if they are judged within by us as Paul does in verse 3, surely they will be judged by God now that they are *without* (out of the church).
Thanks for your reply and for loving Jesus and the Word of God so much! Concerning verses: 4-6, I'm not at all convinced that this person is really a believer. he might be, but he might just be a pretender. You are exactly right about the verb saved (the Verb is aorist, passive, subjunctive --> may / might be saved). My point is that we as human beings, who are true believers in Jesus, still sin (1 Jn 1:8, 10). And that we have an advocate with the Father when we do sin, 1 Jn 2:1. And if we are true believers, we are covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Therefore, even though we sin sometimes, there is no condemnation (Rom 8:1) and we will still enter heaven, but with fewer or no rewards.
1 Corinthians 3:14-15 is not about our works that will be judged, its about our works of apostleship, in sharing the gospel, etc. It is made very clear and this mistake that the speaker is making, is a very old one that is still being latched onto. The context is made clear when including the surrounding verses so that one doesn't take verse 14 and 15 out of context. 4For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? 5Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Notice Paul draws attention to comparisons between the work that Apollos and him were doing. Paul planted (sharing the word, the gospel) and Apollos watered (nurtured and supported those who received the word) and God, above all, gave the increase. Paul then very clearly says everyone receives their reward according to their own labor. This is clearly, as Paul makes evident, labor of apostleship. *It has nothing to do with works as in works of righteousness or unrighteousness.* The burning of the work that is vividly being spoken of here are *people.* As Paul says throughout his many epistles, he looks to have fruit from among the people whom he shared the gospel with. The people are the work and some, as it is said, will be burned up and taste death upon the return of Christ on that great and dreadful day. *That is how one's work will be made manifest.* But just as Paul said, he himself will be saved nonetheless no matter how much or how little of his work is burned up. *This is about the work of Apostleship, not righteous or unrighteous works that are judged by God, not burned up. That makes no sense when you read the rest of the bible. Nowhere does it say that God is going to burn up righteous or unrighteous works, he is going to judge by those works.* So if you go out and preach to 1,000 people, and in the end, only 5 are left standing and the rest burned up, you will still be saved and receive your reward for doing the work of a faithful apostle and minister for the kingdom. Though your other work of 995 people were consumed and burned up, the remaining 5 are in place for your reward.
Thanks for commenting. I completely agree with you. Sinful Christians are not doing the work of Apostleship. Thanks!
We must remember that works of righteousness and unrighteousness and works, in general, do matter and will be judged when we stand before the "BEMA" judgment seat of 2 Cor 5:10 as noted by passages like Mt 16:27, 25:31-46, Jn 3:20-21, and Rom 2:6. Paul's use of the word "works" in verses 13-15 could easily be all-inclusive. Again, thanks for the discussion.
*Do **-Sinful-** Christians go to Heaven?* No. The Bible nowhere promises Heaven to the believers. Why is that, do you think?
I'm thinking of verses like John 3:15-16, 20:31, 1 John 5:11-13.
@@seriousaboutheaven4659 I appreciate your post, SAH. It is true that believers are promised eternal life. I know, both from experience and from Scripture, that "it is appointed unto man once to die." So, when will I get the victory over that death? I find my answer in 1 Corinthians 15: 54. _When - when - when the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then - then - then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”_

Good day and good wishes to you today. We are sharing Wonderful news with you to share and pass along... Can You See Christ in His Second Coming? He Has Already Cast His Net. In the end times, some will find Him on the way to Emmaus again, where He will again spell out in minute detail who He is. He will reveal the mystery of God, because only He will know how to decode and unseal The Book. This Revealer is identified as the Lion of Judah and The Lamb in Revelation 5, which clarifies that The One who unveils this mystery is Christ in His Second Coming, because it states that no-one else can do it. It may take some time to digest all the things He expounds upon, concerning himself, but the words will resonate as Truth for those with ears to hear and eyes to see - the vision to pierce the mystery of incarnation and see the Christ within revealed. To recognize Christ in a new body, with a new name, is going to take keen spiritual insight. Once again, He will explain The Scriptures concerning Himself; and we will be given time to digest it (Rev. 2:10; Rev. 10:2-10; Rev. 2:17). Can you discipline yourself to recognize Christ in a new body? After all, He’s laid it all out - Christs.net. Dive into The Truth. Eat it up. Digest it. CHRIST IS BACK - Hallelujah! Hallow His new name. Psalm 68:4 Sing unto God, sing praises to His name: extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name JAH, and rejoice before Him.
