Have you someone who can collect plastic pots for plants? Ask any house with lots of succulents or bulbs, if you could have their prunings. It costs nothing to ssk, and if you explain why, you might get a few extra fosters, for dogs, with gardens. They might even volunteer to pot the pruningd up, if you supply the pots, ir ask your gardener supporters to pot the plants up. For cost of potting mix, you can have a sale, twice a year, for funds. You might even find some gardeners make their own compost they can use for potting.

Do you have people looking out for shade cloth thrown away at tips, etc? You can use torn shadecloth to wrap around and staple to old wooden coffee table frames, to make hammock beds. Just put some extra screws in to strengthen frames. You can tie wire on 3 thickness shade cloth, to metal coffee table frames, or cut down outdoor steel framed tables, to make extra large hammock beds. You could collect them, and fill up a van going to Romania, to pick up dogs. You can also wire on shade cloth to top and 2 sides of a steel framed dining table, to make shade to put over kennels, to lessen heat in summer. You can check all thrown away fridges, for the plastic ' vegetable crispers' They make great water bowls. Often carrying 2 buckets of water. But if possible, keep under cover or in full shade, because the plastic goes brittle in the sun, and they won't last long..

What was it about July, that got so many adoptions? Was it summer or was it special events or did you get a lot of new fosters? Congratulations on making such a difference to desperate Romanian rescues. My heart breaks for maybe 10,000 dogs without a home, for every 1 dog homed. It is truly overwhelming. Can you get a similar foster group set up in Germany and Finland? They seem to be best countries to aim for... What is situation in France for fosters and adoptions? Would northern Scotland be a good place to find large dog homes?

I love how positive you are - and how you are helping from the UK. A lot of Greek rescues seem to not think of fosters in the countries they get most adoptions from, apart from the biggest, most successful rescue. Telling others they really need fosters set up in Germany, Finland, UK, etc does not seem to get them to try. The big Greek rescue admits dogs in dogs in rescue, in Greece, take over 2 to 3 years to get a home, average. In foster, in country of adopters, they average 2 to 3 months for adoptions. It is lovely to see such optimistic people who are making things happen. Where are your fosters? Do they need any gates or pavers? If I scrounge any, do you have supporters who can pick up? Can they be taken to Romania for frontline help? Does vehicle doing pick up in Romania travel over empty?

This is very hard to watch, particularly when you are an animal lover.

DEVASTATING NEWS - UPDATE - the Moldova Noua shelter visited in this video has been hit by strong winds which damaged the pens. This meant some dogs have escaped and have not yet been found, whilst others escaped but then fights broke out which has tragically resulted in one of those lovely dogs losing its life.
