I'm afraid the recording isn't good, at moments the orchestra is jamming the soloists. One could blame JDF's voice as allegedly too small and weak (there are such uncharitable and unjust opinions) but it concerns Teresa Iervolino as well... Be that as it may, thank You for the video! The both singers give a virtuoso performance.

You know its crazy, Ive only ever heard Spyres do this aria, and I forget sometimes how strong his low notes are compared to the average Mitridate. I like Florez, but his low notes were completely drowned out by the orchestra, at least in this recording it sounds that way. Every version of Spyres doing it even the C3s are as loud and full as everything else. I had trouble hearing anything lower than E/F3 here.

Olga’s soprano voice has silvery high notes, lovely pianissimo, fluid legato, the fluttery trill she performs beautifully, and she is yet another young, gorgeous Russian (something in the water?).
