Good video.
good days happy and sad days but in a very dangerous place
I was there on that trip
Can I ask, what is the song used? And is it by these monks? Thanks
PureHero1 the soundtrack is taken from a cd they provided me with. It is their own work. I’m sure you can find it on their web page.
For the first part a Taizé song "Crucem tuam adoramus Domine" is used; 1:12 starts gregorian communio "Passer invenit sibi domum" gregobase.selapa.net/chant.php?id=1090

Great view from up there.
It is indeed
Nice, used to see that scene every year up at the wee forest park at Scrabo.
looks great! did you need a licence or insurance to shoot this?
James, if you wish to operate commercially you need a CAA licence and insurance. You do not need a licence if its for personal use and not for commercial gain however i'd still advise some form of insurance. You are still subject to obeying the rules and regulations of the CAA.There is plenty of information on the CAA website with reference to the legalities concerned with the use of Unmanned Aircraft or Aircraft systems (UAS) commonly known as drones. here's the link and best of luck with any decisions you may have about getting involved. www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=1995&pagetype=90
Wow saw my Dads house, nice work.
Nice video. I have a DJI Phantom 2 Vision+, made this video in Strangford lough in September Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland filmed with DJI Phantom 2 Vision+
Hi Paul, nice work dude the video looks great. So what do you think of the DJI? Is it a bit scary to fly? I would love to get one but am a bit afraid it would fly away or somthin.
Miker dee, its a very easy system to use. there are lots of tutorial videos on youtube. once you gps it to your location its sort of fool proof. find a nice open area to practice before you take it anywhere that might cause a problem. make sure you keep your batteries are well charged before flying and always be aware of any potential threats i.e. electricity power lines, buildings and people or livestock. check the CAA site for rules and regulations regarding how high you can fly and how far from people and buildings you are restricted to. the DJI Phantom vision plus was my first quadcopter and i had no problems getting started. It does what it says on the tin. Its a ready to fly simplified user friendly quadcopter.
Hi Paul, thanks for coming back to me and for the info, very much appreciated. So you started with the Dji but what have you moved onto? Do you have to be able to know a lot about electronics with the build or is it pretty much ready to fly? I have been in touch with a guy who lives quite close to me near Carrickfergus he has a dji f550 and he offered to meet up and give me a few tips. But if your ever planning a flight and wouldn't mind me watch your flight it would be great to get some more info on the whole FPV. Have great day, and happy flying. Keep the videos comin super work. Regard Michael
Hi Mike, yes i started with the dji phantom vision 2 plus . i have a mate who has the older version. he gave me literally a 15 minute demo of his quad.(before this, i had no previous experience with quadcopters) The PV2+ comes RTF (ready to fly) you simply take it out of the box, charge up the batteries, plug the battery in, start it up and fly. NOTE!!!! please read the manual/instructions first !! or alternately , watch some of the many youtube videos on setting up and flying the phantom for the first time. There are a few things you must do pre flight to fix your home position etc but they are simple and a must in case you lose signal with the quad. if this happens, and you have carried out the Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC) Home Lock, then the quad will return to where you set it of and land. There are so many things that i could tell you but i'd be typing for the rest of the day...lol. You are doing the right thing in asking questions and if possible try to get out with someone who has a quad or hexacopter like the lad who has the F550. I did exactly that, and even now i am getting advice from lads who run a model flying club. I am moving up to a F550 myself as it is modular, allowing me to add or remove or even upgrade as needed. One word of advice/warning on the PV2+ (Phantom Vision 2 plus). although it is a simple to use/ user friendly machine, the camera gimbal is very flimsy, and very easily damaged so my own personal advice would be to buy a PV2 with a Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal and invest in a gopro camera. this will give you a lot of flexibility as opposed to being stuck with the PV2+ camera. (which is a really good camera, but useless if you break the extremely flimsy data ribbon) PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS ISSUE BEFORE BUYING (a replacement is £491) I live in Warrenpoint and would be more than happy to share with you what i know because I was helped by other lads (i am still leeching info from them ) there are a couple of good sites on facebook that will give you a helping hand , just like them and then you can go on and ask questions and in most cases (take away the sarcastic few) you will get all the help you want. facebook.com/groups/Vision.Plus.Owners/?fref=ts facebook.com/groups/DJIGuys/?fref=ts most of the lads i speak to buy their equipment either direct from the dealer or from Hobbyking. www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/index.asp www.dji.com/product/phantom-2-vision-plus that DJI site has the tutorial videos you need, but there are many more on youtube from ordinary joe soaps. You're doing the right thing by asking Mike, the systems aren't cheap so have a think about what you want to do with it i.e: is it purely for fun, or do i want to make credible videos and or photographs and decide from there what you are willing to invest in it. Also, check out the CAA website and familiarise yourself with the regulations governing the use of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=1995&pageid=11213 I hope this is a help to you mate. If you need any more help, just give me a shout
Hi Paul, Thanks for all your help all very much appreciated. I meant to get back to you sooner but have been busy with work. So do you have a phantom with the zen gimbal? Then you want to up grade to the F550, what's your reasoning for this? More options for cameras? But for my self do you think the phantoms the way forward ? Thanks Michael
Yes Mike, the phantom is a great little quad, easy to use and the perfect choice to get experience with. My reason for looking at the F550 is because its modular, allowing me to add or remove or even upgrade as needed. I've used one and I liked it, even though it has a restricted flying time in comparison to the phantom. It has a lot of pro's and cons, but little things like the price of batteries etc far outweigh any cons.
This is cool PJ, karl
thanks mate
