Here I needed just two brackets to do a test run to start replacing my prototype. After no local metal shop would respond and custom fabricators had no user friendly system, I thankfully found you guys. I’m still in shock because not only is the online system super easy to use and informative - but the pricing is surprisingly affordable - which incentivizes me to order more parts. Then you have incredible customer service as I was immediately shown how to add a simple parallel line to locate on the press bend which actually improved the part. They arrived early and even the packaging is top tier. My mind is blown because I just can’t wait to make all my personal dream projects into reality - with a goal to mass produce. BTW your videos are perfect. Love the outtake intro and candid format! Thank you!!!🙏🏼👊🏼🤙🏼
@@IdiocracySpace you’re making us blush! But seriously, this is exactly why we started SendCutSend and we love to see people using us the way we had hoped and intended! Thanks for being a customer!
Oh man that’s cool..
What machine do you use to press fit self clinch nuts? I'm currently using a round die and hit it with a hammer. It works okay but I know that's not the correct way to do it. Mc Master carr sells a tool for $500, would you recommend it? Thanks
@@carlosrios3452 we can’t giveaway all our secrets 😉 The key is consistent even pressure! Hammers are hard to keep square and precise which is needed for any pressed in hardware. Any press (manual or hydraulic) would be a better fit for a diy application. We would recommend it having a pressure gauge to know the pressure you are applying and match it to PEMs recommended pressures.
First wooden single rail coaster!
Jim and Jake are the perfect personalities for these videos! Looking forward to the next video!
That is mint.
I’m surprised to hear you don’t do stainless PEMs in aluminum. My customers almost always spec SS hardware for 5052 and we’ve never had any issues with it (unless it needs to be chromated after). Makes me want to do some pushout tests. Anyway, these videos are great. I wish I could show them to my customers!
Do you get the Aluminum plated or coated? SS and Aluminum together can cause erosion
The most underrated PEM has got to be the TPS pilot pins: solid, smooth, stainless shaft with a chamfered end. Basically a dowel pin that actually stays straight in sheet metal. I use them constantly in jigs/fixtures as locators, hard stops, even short axles.
Please keep doing these videos to showcase all of your services practically...❤
That's the plan! Thanks for watching!

You coulda made something really crappy that barely works in less time. Weird statement

Great and now I'm going to disappear for 3 months
Solidworks for Makers is very cheap. And it has all of the functions of the regular seat (I use it professionally and at home) Maker version is $49/year (was $99/year which is still a deal)
Hey SendCutSend, how about some mild steel deburring?!
Sorry, we don’t deburr mild steel because the bare metal has a higher risk of flash rusting. The mill finish has just enough oil that’ll keep it from rusting
Would love to see 1080 hardened steel for making saw plates. Would love to see some CNC lathe action so I could order custom knurled screws. I can dream, can’t I?
Ready for SendCutSend to get into CNC machining. Protolabs and Xometry pricing is nuts
Stacks of Send Cut Send goodness!
Love you guys. Maybe smile some more.. hehehe.. great work.. keep er going!
Yo from Maine....we use you guys all the damn time. Can't recommend enough.

Do you have any plans to offer a 3D steel tube cutting service? An example might be a 16” long 2” by 4” by 1/8” wall tube with holes and other features cut on four of the surfaces and ends. Thanks for your helpful videos!

Easiest service that gets the boss off my back on our phase 2 testing prototypes after 3D printing. This is all done before we send the files off to our normal supplier for first articles. But the boss thinks I order from ya'll for the candy / stickers :)
It seems like the unwashed hobbyist and the OEs are broadly after the same thing-> a) accurate parts b) fast delivery c) low cost and in ~6 years you've been able to develop this workflow that can accommodate this expansive market and are continuing to try to make it better. Super cool!! Also thanks for sharing these videos as they are informative and a hoot watch over lunch. Keep 'em coming!!
Have you considered a website for people to sell part kits through you?

How do you guys see weekdays vs weekend days? Are you shut down?
We run 24/7! We see similar production weekend vs weekday! People always need custom parts :)
do you guys do die pressing or spinning? or can anyone refer me to someone?
@@ecophage we don’t offer either of these at this time, sorry!
You charge for deburing? I get it and it’s only a dollar but in the machine shop I worked at if i even put a piece of stock back with a sharp edge I heard about it. I may be wrong but IMO a piece isn’t complete until all the sharp edges are removed.
I could imagine it's an adder for the folks who don't specify in the print. These internet shops tend to deal with customers who never dealt with ordering such parts before and don't know what to specify
@@vc7493 we charge a small fee to cover labor and consumables; typically $0.10 to $0.60 each depending on size, material, and quantity.
@@schwig44 if deburring is recommended for the part we let you know before checkout and you can choose to debur or not 👍🏼

I like that stool...very good design. I'm gonna try making some things soon but now I just need a program to design stuff and I'll be able to have you guys cut it and send it out!
Been loving the laser cutting services but would love for you guys to add alloy steel cnc machining from a step file. There's a lack of good/quick services for that, the best I can find is either absurdly expensive or 30 day turnaround.

Galvanized steel. Cheaper than stainless, I guess.
Zinc anodes are so cool. At work we put big (like football sized) anodes on subsea pipelines. These things get eaten up by the sea, but super cool to see that zinc basically just redirects the rust

The BIGGEST pain in the butt to weld on
@@williamponce5907 yep! Not our #1 recommended material for welding!
You need to etch/remove the gal to weld don't you?
@@iRossco yep 😅
G90 is not intended for welding. It's a cheap pre-galvanized sheet steel intended for forming. The coating is also not as thick or abrasion resistant as batch processed hot dip galvanizing. The reason for this is because they need to ensure the coating won't crack during the bending process so it's a compromise. Furthermore, any cutouts or holes you add to your pre-galvanized sheet will no longer be galvanized so it kind of defeats the purpose of having it pre-coated. If your intent is to weld then use uncoated steel and send it off for hot dip galvanizing as the final finishing process. You'll end up with a much better and more durable coating.
I think I’m gonna get this for Christmas
I got it… it’s so good it’s amazing
