It's my pleasure! Resto Druid can be a bit complicated at first, but with some practice I'm sure that you can play it well. Resto Druids are proactive healers, versus reactive ones, meaning that you need to start spreading your Healing Over Time (HoT) spells *before* the damage comes out, or else you will already be behind. The basics involve maintaining Lifebloom on a target that is taking consistent damage (usually the active Tank), maintaining Efflorescence on as many players as possible (usually the Melee stack), and then spreading Rejuvenate on about 5-10 targets right before any big damage happens. Then you will hit Swiftmend and cast Wild Growth so that the cast finishes right when the big damage happens. After that follow up with a few Regrowths on any targets with low HP, then rinse and repeat. Whenever there is downtime where there is not a lot of healing to do, you can spam cast Wrath to regenerate some Mana. And once you understand the damage pattern of a fight you can use Flourish, Tranquility, and/or Incarnation: Tree of Life to further boost your healing during heavy damage windows. Also remember to use your Grove Guardians charges to buff your healing and try to always keep it on cooldown by not staying at 3 charges. So the UI that I use is just the base UI, but I've moved some things around in edit mode. As far as Addons go, the main ones that I use here are: Details! Once you've done some damage or healing you can right-click the bar on the meter and click "Show Realtime Graph" and then resize and drag it wherever you'd like): www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/recount My raid-frames are just the default UI but I use "Use Raid-Style Part Frames" under "Raid Frames" in the "Interface" section of the settings, along with "Display Class Colors" and "Display Power Bars". From there you can click the little arrow on the left hand side of the screen when in a Party, click the checkbox to Unlock the Frames, and then move / resize them however you'd like. To cast my spells I use simple mouseover Macros for casting Healing Spells. Type "/m" (without the quotes), click "New", name your Macro, click "Okay", and then enter: #showtooltip /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player] Rejuvenation (Replacing Rejuvenation with whichever spell you'd like). Drag the Macro Icon to your Action Bar, then you can mouseover the Frame of the player you'd like to Heal and press your Keybind for that spell to heal them. I hope that helps!

I think that they are both viable and fulfill different niches. Keeper is the 'recommended' build and what I see most people running on raider.io. I've tried both and prefer Elune's Chosen, but I might just need to practice Keeper more. Elune's definitely has an easier rotation, excels in sustained AoE, and is less cooldown dependent. Keeper definitely does more Single-Target damage on longer fights, such as bosses, and has great burst if you have cooldowns up. Keeper is probably better if you are doing big pulls that line up with your cooldowns, or for tough bosses with Tyrannical. I personally was doing more damage overall with Elune's than Keeper, but I might just need to practice Keeper more. If you've been running Keeper and enjoy it then I'd just stick with it, but I do personally currently prefer Elune's for the easy and consistent rotation, as well as the big sustained AoE that it does.

In this recording my Crit was 1,624 and Haste was 1,228. You can check all my stats and other stuff on the log link here: classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/bf9Ta8QgKvcLwCzP#fight=18&type=summary&source=10 I've since transitioned to running more Haste, and am sitting at 1,869 Crit with 1,532 Haste. This tier it's a little difficult to hit that 2nd Haste breakpoint, so I was just sitting at the first cap and stacking Crit, but I've noticed more and more people on logs pushing up Haste beyond the first cap over Crit, and it definitely feels better to play and seems to do more damage that way. I think that Keeper of the Grove does more healing overall. I find that the 5/10/15% healing bonus from Grove Keepers is really strong for healing through big damage, plus the healing from Dream Petals and the Keepers themselves is a lot. The extra HoTs from Wildstalker is nice, but I think that people mostly run it for the extra damage to speed up the dungeon.

You can do all that from the weakauras settings. In case you (or anyone else reading this) isn't familiar with the Weakauras addon, I'll post my faq blurb for it here too: After installing the Addon go to the Wago link for the Weakaura above and click "Copy Import String" in the red oval near the top of the page. Then in the in-game chat box type "/wa" (without the quotes) and press enter. Next, click Import near the top of the Weakauras settings window that should appear, then simply press ctrl + v to paste the weakaura string that you just copied from the Wago website, and then click the red "Import" button down at the bottom. After that you should see the Temporal Beacon icon with the remaining duration on your raid frames. You can also adjust the size and position of the graphic from the Weakauras settings menu if you'd like.

Absolutely! As long as you pre-beacon for that AoE damage it's massive HPS. And it gets even better with a larger group =)

It's definitely situational. I like Burnout for the extra throughput for sure, so that's usually my go-to, but on longer fights where mana is more of a concern then I definitely prefer Enlightenment. The 10% dmg is nice if you can stay in that +70% mana window by using mana pots / gems early, and I find that the extra regen does actually help once under 30% mana too - plus it has the upside as not draining as much mana as Burnout. I'll even run single Regeneration in some situations where I want to keep Beacons on the tank for longer without having to spend the extra mana on Mass Regen, depending on how the raid groups are set up.

I probably could have gone with Spell Power but Preservation is a nice, mana-efficient, emergency heal that's useful for topping up a single target, such as the tank, quickly. I like to have that option available =)

@@mindfu7 Yeah, the 2 group (3 with tier set) zugg blast is def the most overall throughput, and I do like Spell Power for the extra damage too. The frost build seems interesting. I would need a lot of specific gear to make it work, but I might check it out once I do. It seems like the upside is that it does way more damage than Arcane, and probably similar healing, so that seems like it would be worth it. Kind of annoying to have to farm a whole other set of gear for it though, and I'm sure that you can get just as much HPS with the standard Arcane build.

I'd assume it's just Netherwind and Arcanist tier for the extra long beacons, and then either the new Mage Staff from Vael or the Thunderaan 1-hander. Thunderaan has a nice Arcane trinket too. But I'm still waiting for someone to put out a full BiS list, otherwise anything with a lot of + Spellpower or Arcane Damage is probably going to be solid for an Arcane Heal build.

Yeah maybe, it definitely wouldn't surprise me if it was bugged. It took us quite a few attempts, but most of the wipes were due to threat / positioning issues. Once we figured that out and as long as people ran out with the adrenaline buff and died away from the group with it it wasn't so bad. Hopefully you're able to get it soon!

@@looloolingmong651 Hey there, I'd recommend looking at this article on WoWHead for Builds: www.wowhead.com/guide/classes/druid/restoration/talent-builds-pve-healer You can export the talents and then import them in-game with just a couple of clicks. I basically use the raid build from that page for raid, and the Mythic + build for M+. It can definitely be a lot to take in at once. If you get a chance I'd recommend sitting down and just reading through all the talents. If you do that it'll start to click how everything works together. For some basic tips, just remember to maintain Lifebloom (On the active Tank in Raid, or on yourself *and* the tank in M+), maintain Efflorescence (usually on melee), maintain Rejuvenate in M+ or cast about 6-8 Rejuvs before big damage in Raid, press Swiftmend and then cast Wild Growth when big damage comes out, and spam Regrowth if you need to do big single-target healing. There's a bit more to it than that, but if you follow that basic rotation to start you should be able to get the hang of things. Then you can start weaving in Cooldowns and optimizing ramps once you learn the damage patterns of a particular fight. Also, remember that you can spam cast Wrath to get Mana back with those builds I linked above, since Resto Druid is fairly Mana hungry. I hope that helps a bit. Good luck and have fun =)

Haha, that's not a dumb question at all! It's not actually something that's in the game by default, it's from the Weakauras Addon, and it appears when you get an Hot Streak proc (big parenthesis) or an Impact proc (little parenthesis) so that you know when you have an instant cast Pyroblast or can spread your DoTs without having to look down at your action bars to see the spell glowing. Heya! Unfortunately not, when I go to the Ripple reactive layer it seems to only let me select solid colors. A rainbow one would be really cool though!

@@SigsPlays i worked out how to do it! i haven’t gotten the colours just right yet, but if you disconnect the keyboard from prism in your gg app, then open engine for the apex pro, in lighting under the “reactive layer,” you can add multiple colours for a ripple :) hope this helps you out

This was our first time defeating this boss, so I wasn't sure how much Mana I was going to use, and didn't want to Balefire early and run out Mana due to the Spirit debuff. I probably should have thrown some out at the end. There's also really not much else to run on the wrists slot. Rewind is quite strong, but it doesn't show as HPS and I'm a dirty parselord, so I almost never cast it unless it's an emergency, and I'd run Molten Armor for the extra crit, but again, the Mana from Mage Armor is often too important. Now that we're defeating bosses much quicker, I do use Balefire for extra damage and healing, I just didn't here because I was getting a feel for the fight.

They are good. It plays about the same as it has for the past few expansions. Currently they do seem to be a little behind on HPS on the very very top end, but that could change with gear. They are still incredibly strong at blanketing the raid with HoTs and healing through massive amounts of AoE damage. They have leaned into "feral-weaving" for one of the potential Dungeon / Mythic Plus builds, which is kind of cool, but I personally am not a huge fan of that playstyle. Thankfully the other set of Hero Talents (Keeper of the Grove) is also very strong for raw HPS and doesn't change the rotation much. Since the healer changes in season 3 of dragonflight happened *all* healers have to be more thoughtful with their cooldown usage and mana management, and Druid is no different. Thankfully we have a lot of tools at our disposal to do so. In 5-man content our HoTs can feel a little weak sometimes, but there are ways to funnel some decently strong single-target healing when needed. Plus as a Druid we have access to so many different utility spells and there's a lot of variety in the builds that you can do. They are definitely a solid healing class and definitely not dogwater. All in all I've been enjoying it quite a bit. If you've played Resto in the past and enjoyed it, I'd recommend it for sure. =)

I have, yeah. I personally hate feral-weaving (it feels like a chore to keep hopping into and out of form) - but it's perfectly viable, and probably the better choice when there's not a lot to heal so that you can do more DPS to speed up the runs. I can pull around 300-400k DPS single-target as WS on bosses while healing usually. I just prefer Keeper of the Grove for this first week of M0s since there is *a lot* of damage going out with everyone's ilvl being relatively low, and Keeper definitely does more / easier HPS, so I wanted to focus more on being sure that I could keep everyone alive vs. doing a bit more damage. =)

I lvled druid for healing and everyone says it's bad lol

@@justinnieves2520 It was very bad, statistically, for a while. However it has since been buffed a couple times and feels better. It's still maybe a little "off-meta" right now, but as long as you can play it well you will always do better than someone who is playing a "meta" class not as well. I just got 4-set tier and a max ilvl crafted Staff on mine, and it feels *much* better than when I didn't have those things. At the end of the day, just play what you enjoy and get good at it and you will be fine. =)

I have had that problem as well lol. You just have to not be casting anything when he casts his Counterspell. If you watch the DBM timer for it you can see when it's coming, although sometimes it is a few seconds off. When he's about to cast it I just cast instant-cast spells or wand for a bit until he does it, then go back to casting as usual. That is very strange. I've never heard of bag slots being locked. I tried googling it and couldn't find anything either. Maybe someone else knows the reason and can reply. Sorry that I can't be of more help, I hope that you're able to figure it out!

Yeah! Seems like they should do better with the buffs. Especially in big AoE, where they were already pretty decent, plus some more ST damage to make them a bit more balanced =)

So it's going to depend a little bit on your build, but generally it is best to pre-ramp as many HoTs as possible, since our healing increases by our Mastery % for *each* HoT on a target. This includes Rejuvenate, Regrowth, Lifebloom, Wild Grown, Cenarion Ward, and Spring Blossoms. After that directly spamming Regrowth is the best single-target heal that we have, and you can potentially buff the healing even more by casting 1, 2, or 3 Grove Guardians beforehand for the 5% per stack healing buff that they provide. You can see how I deal with it in this recording, but an ideal setup would be to apply a Rejuv to the target while they are within Efflorescence (for the Spring Blossoms HoT), maintain Lifebloom on yourself for the 10% quicker HoT ticks, pop a Swiftmend on one of those targets, immediately cast Wild Growth (empowered by Soul of the Forest by casting Swiftmend), casting as many Grove Guardians as possible (off GCD) and then casting Regrowth on those targets until the absorb is gone. If Tree of Life is up, or if you're able to proc it with Swiftmend, then your throughput will be massively increased and Regrowth will also be instant-cast. It may be worth saving Tree of Life for moments like this specifically. You can also throw Cenarion Ward and / or Ironbark on one of the targets to help out even more. Resto Druid excels at AoE Healing, and can certainly struggle in the single-target healing department, such as when trying to remove an absorb, but if you use all of the tools at your disposal they can top a target pretty quickly. I spellsteal the Arcano buff if he gets stacks during his shield, but don't generally go out of my way to hit him to generate stacks. I'm the raid leader so while doing callouts and paying attention to what everyone else is doing I don't really get to min / max like that - but you're absolutely right, it's a nice damage buff, and I do try to get it when I can =)
