EASY TIE STRAP TOP TUTORIAL [self drafting process] DIY
Hey hey! Today I bring you a tutorial for this summer top. There’s no need for a free sewing pattern, so you can recreate this one following my self draft pattern step by step guide.
Fabric: cotton, linen 0.7x1.5m
And here’s a tip: if you don’t like the look of the channels on the inside you can also make this top lined so that you can create the channels using the two layers of fabric!

Yes, it is beginner friendly, if you follow the steps. This is pretty easy pouch. But please let me know, if the pattern is understandable! My digital pattern is not finished yet, but if needed i can send a picture of my pattern

I’m brand new at sewing! How do you figure out the tension! I can’t seem to get it right.

It is the same as mine...i never had problems with tension. Do you have problems with upper or with bobbin thread?
Your sewing machine manual is your best friend. 😊 It will probably tell you the settings your machine likes best. Tension unevenness can happen when you use a different thread for your bobbin than for your top, or if your machine is threaded wrong. When I have problems, I use the manual to check I'm threading correctly, and putting the bobbin in correctly. Hope that gives you a starting place for your problem solving. 😊

I do not know why you didn't sew the bias tape on before the zipper. Also, I think I would've made the seam stick out and bias taped that to match the top. Just my opinion.
