Thank you for the subscribing ! You can try to listen my trombone concert ! I welcome all criticism and will consider the points for improvement. Some things I am figuring out somethings not yet .
I heard the first movement. Fantastic. I like the cadences, transitions and rhythm. You clearly have the ability to handle big structures.
@@Swaroque Thanks! Hope you like the other movements
Thank you I heard all the movments ! All three are fantastic. The rhythmic and semitone peffect in the third is unique point. Obviously I am not yet comfortable with composition form. I learnt how to layer motifs on top to create melody from this video!
I think it should be spelt “Corrente”? Nice counterpoint anyways! Henry

Genial!!!
İt is like style of Beethoven.
@LéoMauriac-Cpac Ah which movement/s do you mean? (Thanks)
@davremmusic I only listened the first movement and it sounded like Beethoven to me. But it is a good job😀
Very good and funny piece!
@Andrea_Suriano Thanks!
Beautiful composition! Thank you for subscribing 🙏
Movement I has memorable themes, especially the chord progression in the A theme, which will be in my head for a while I bet. The development was enjoyable. The abrupt changes in mood were very engaging. The transition back into E major for the recapitulation was absolutely fantastic. 8/10 It was a good call making the theme of the second movement how it was. Simple, allowing for lots of lovely variations. The arpeggiated figures in Var. 3 reminded me of some of movement I, which adds to the cohesion. Theme and variations might be my favorite musical form, at least in my top 3. You've done a very good job here. Var. 5 reminds me of the Moonlight Sonata's third movement a bit. Big fan. And the second half, with the sixteenth note runs for the three beats and then the accented quarter note, was very well executed. It was definitely a good final variation. 8/10 The scherzo immediately makes usage of the hemiola, which I'm a fan of. Very playful but still sophisticated. The trio seems more somber, providing good contrast. The quintuplets are wonderful. The coda's reference to the seriousness of the trio before returning to the vibe of the scherzo is a nice touch. 7/10 The larghetto was cool. The prestissimo was surprising but it works well. The deviation to G minor is an interesting but good decision. The fluttering sixteenth note figures starting in measure 88 were highly pleasant. Measure 143 reminds me of measure 88. Very nice. The reference in measure 159 to the first movement is fantastic. It is a very satisfying use of cyclic form. I have to say, I've never seen fortissississississimo (?) in the wild before! Nice. 8/10 Very enjoyable sonata.
@@LeanneHolloway-cy2uo Ah thanks so much! I did make a very good sonata!

Only found out about this because of the algorithms. I loved this piece. It has the "mood" of coming from a Boss of a Castlevania game. You are a great composer. If you can, do an Orchestral Arrangement, put a Church Organ.
This doesn't sound impressionist. You should try with 9th and 11th chords, non-harmony notes, fast melodies, and things that Debussy or Ravel Would do. First, you should learn what "impressionism" is, because it's not whatever that sounds kinda minimalistic, remember impressionism is the ancestor of the XX century, so, would be good if you check the work of the composers mentioned before. Hope this commentary finds you well. Good Luck!
@@liszt132 sorry thought it was!
@@davremmusicdon't apologize. I'm not angry or mad, if you think you "insulted" me with your music or something like that, I'm just checking that you may like to improve those things to make your music sound like what you actually would like to sound. Understood?
Still I have a curious cuestion, are you musician? Which is your favorite artist and musical era? My favorite artists kind of are Beethoven and Chopin
@@davremmusicSorry, I didn't read this commentary! And yes, I'm a musician, I play the piano but not too much, I'm more focused on composition. In this channel I don't upload much music, but in my principal channel, "Contradantus" you can find many of my compositions, but I think we're kinda different because I compose mostly for orchestra than piano, but I understand the language because I studied classical piano. About my favorite composers, I think it's kinda obvious by my username, but besides Liszt, I love Wagner, Prokofiev, Bartok, Beethoven, Rautavaara, Bruckner, a little bit of Verdi, stuff like that. Excited to hear your most recent compositions!

very nice 😁😁😁
I think it's okay, but I have a concrete and specific advice: Learn more harmony. I've noted you wanted to create a classical-modern style, but it still sounds like something that tries to be something new, but using mostly very classical harmony, or pop-like harmony. I heavily recommend you to read the book "Harmony of the XX century" by Vincent Persichetti, that books introduce the concepts that you may want to use in those pieces, like quartal chords, clusters, negative harmony, etc. Also, I recommend you to search for concepts like: Non-Functional harmony, atonalism, polytonalism, dodecaphonism, bartok's axes, pitch class-set, and neo-riemann theory, but principally bartok axes and non functional harmony, because those are the principal things I use to compose, and I feel that the style you want to represent is similar to mine.
@@liszt132 I kind of actually meant pop, not exactly neoclassical, OK? (*I tried it to sound like almost pop)
@davremmusic Oh, in that case, is mostly accurate, but it still have some mistakes, like, in the second movement, you abused the "just chords" technique. I suggest you to make it more melodycal, like if there is a singer supporting those chords. If you put a just a bunch of chords without melodies, and even worse, repeatedly, makes it a lot boring. The entire second movement sounds like it's just the left hand. I hope this doesn't demotivates you, I really want you to improve these things, because I want to listen to great compositions, which you surely will do in the future. You should take inspiration on Hans Zimmer, he has a very classical/pop style, (but he does it in orchestra) but you can learn from it and took it into the piano, it would be great. I'm excited to hear your next compositions! Btw, how old are you? (if that's not a problem, it's ok if you don't want to answer).
@@liszt132In case it's for you to know, I'm 17 since November 6
@@davremmusic Pretty cool! I'm pretty sure you're gonna create a masterpiece in a few years. I'll keep up!

@@_astr777 maybe because I made as a Christmas song (that's not a carol, but just a song)
@@_astr777 But Merry Christmas anyways!
Really nice! I have some suggestions tho The waltz part has beautiful melody but it's missing something, you know, some decorations. Take Chopin scherzo 2 (or maybe 3) for example, you can add some cheeky little RH run during the pauses in the melody, or add some sort of pedal notes (like Chopin scherzo 1) and ornaments. You can even add a second voice. That way, the music would be more interesting!
Very nice brother!
Ah thanks!
