Very good instructions, BUT, why did you measure around the phone width wise and add two inches, but only measured length, without going around, and adding two inches. Why around width but not length?

Very good tutorial, I have been wanting to make some hanging baskets for my car, RV, and my home. I measured and cut an empty cereal box to make a template for the curved front. That way the curved pieces will be uniform. I plan on making several of these. I would like to know how much of a seam allowance you used.
