I feel like an Atari fanboy at this point, but for this month I'm repping 'merica. This is as good as is it gets before the OG Xbox came out in that department.

This is real hardware. No software compatability layer. Just 90s hardware and a flashcard. It hits different with a real Jag controller in your hands.

@@Retroloft556 yeha but some of these look like theyre running in molasses. Theres a video of one called GODS or somesuch. and it seems to run slow as hell. I don't know how the ST original runs but I've heard people say it doesn't even run that slow on emulation.

@@jh5124 I do have to admit, the frame rate on Darius+ is doody. Again, I don`t know how exactly it runs on the real ST, but it is choppy.

But Ghouls and Ghosts runs at full speed? Capcom programming magic? I dunno like I said I have never used or owned an Atari ST.

@@Retroloft556 I don't know. I'll have to check out Ghouls and Ghosts. Wasn't aware they converted that? I'm not up on the ST ports but that's interesting. I'm pretty sure I have it for other systems and emu anyway. Maybe someone should do a side by side vs of an ST game running on the Jag and on an actual ST. See if they really do run that bad on an actual ST,.

It took me a while to put it all together with the GameDrive, it`s weirdness even took me by surprise, and I`m an obscure console nut.

The Saroo is a little bit Voodoo I`m sorry to say. You just don`t know what you are getting from just a EBay listing. You have to play around with it.

No, this test I did is to prove that the Saroo does not work with the MPEG card, which I do have installed. The Saroo is always being updated, though stay tuned if and when it does, I`ll make a video.

@Retroloft556 but how did you play the vcd without vcd card then ?

No. I have a real VCD, The Ring 2. I`m not interested in burning individual movies, I want to figure out the format and convert anything to VCD format but, I`m not going to lie, info is a little thin on this. It`s a little bit Voodoo at this point.

just about setup that UI upgrade to get automatic alphabetized menus,but chickened out last minute because I have the thing working

@@DEEPENFRIENDSHIP I`m a little scared to update mine to be perfectly honest. I`m rolling with a 256GB in each, but my games list is far from perfect. I`m still sorting it out.

@Retroloft556 Definitely getting a large card soon, biggest on hand was 32gb and about filled it today.

@@DEEPENFRIENDSHIP Yeah I have that go big or go home mentality when it comes to these things. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I have been using and playing around with it for quite some time and know full well how the file structure is supposed to go. It is very important as you know. So I was copying the games over and realized I had nested a directory inside the ISO folder. Facepalm. Yeah I got it now.

By the way I recommend cheaping out on the quality of the SD card you are going to use. I`m using a bottom shelf Wal-Mart brand Onn SD card I payed $20 a piece for. The read write speed is not great, but it does not have to be. It`s plenty fast enough.

Anytime. I need a fresh Sega sticker for mine. I love the Saroo.

I`m `Merican. I want that authentic `Merican 90`s handheld experience. Mine was not having a color handheld at all LOL.

Yet. We will see, the Saroo is kind of a work in progress.

I got the 1.33 versions off EBay with the black PCB and I cannot be happier. Do not buy earlier models IMO, they have issues.

I have to say I love the Saroo. The concept is so elegant, even compared to the Satiator. I`m happy to be the beta tester. :)

It is a smol bean. I just bought a Turbo Tap thinking it was compatible, it's not. I should have known that I had a TG-16. Oh well.

No offense, but I could get that with any emulator. You have to understand that I was there, and I want the OG experience, even if it was worse. It`s just not the same.

​@@Retroloft556Hey that's cool. We all play our games however we like em. That's the great thing with the scene, just play the games how you like. No offense at all. Unfortunately, my eyes can't focus on small screens like I'm young anymore. Screens on the GB, GBA and GG give me a good middle ground for the OG handheld hardware.

@@SimplyAustins No I hear you. I have always been blessed with good vision, but now I`m getting older and it`s fading. However, I remember how it was in the cutthroat bit wars of the 90s, those were my formative years. NGL nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I want a Neo Geo Color Pocket next.
