I use the ultra preset @ 1080p. 720p ALL LOW will have a much higher CPU usage and the GPU usage could be lower, the result is a very high frame rate. Everybody wants to see good visuals with this game, nobody is interested in a very high frame rate imo.

@@zaidehsas99 Yes it's normal. GPU and CPU usages rely on settings and resolutions. A 4K resolution with ultra settings will lead to a very high GPU usage [=GPU bottleneck] and a very low CPU usage [even lower than in the video].

@@zaidehsas99 Temp problems will depend upon your room temp and the airflow in your case. [my room temp was app 20 degrees Celsius @ the time] Next to that a your video model will also have impact, a video card with only one fan for example will have a higher temperature. If you unleash the power [remove the power limit in the BIOS] the stock cooler will not be enough, you'll need a better cooler, it will run (a lot) faster however. Lag can be seen in the frame time graph. [see if there are any spikes] I do not play this game. [no time ;-((], and I didn't encounter any lag during my short testing.

@@lubrieltec7098 The i5-12400F is super cheap these days, and has a much better upgrade path. You can even buy a Z790 motherboard for a reasonable price these days. [supports 12th, 13th and 14th gen CPUs] Perhaps you could have a look @ that. A good alternative for the RX 7600 would be the RTX 4060 and has roughly the same price.

Why do you think the temperature is too high ?? Be advised that the [crappy] intel stock cooler as used.

The R5 5800X3D is still relatively expensive. I wouldn't call that a 'normal' CPU ;-)

As written above the Ultra High Presets for 1080p and 1440p, the RTX 1060 does not perform any Ray Tracing. Without Ray Tracing the RTX 3050 and RTX 4060 would have had a far higher FPS.

@@kzmbeatz What is your FPS in DX12 all low ?? What's the frame rate with DLSS ?? The RTX 3050 ti is a laptop card, while the i5-11400 is a desktop component. Is it perhaps the RTX 3050 6GB [for desktop] ?? [and not the 8GB version]

Nowadays Rust is using the full 8GB video RAM and the full 16GB system RAM. [see the usage in the video] I guess that causes the stuttering'' and freezes. Rust is 'pushing' us towards 32GB [DDR5 ??] system RAM and 16GB of video RAM ;-( I didn't test it with a lower graphics quality setting however. [the RTX 4060 should be able to handle ultra]

The video also shows a lot of spikes in the frame time graph. Even my RTX 4060 and i5-13500 are 'spiky': th-cam.com/video/X678tuqcKuk/w-d-xo.html I guess it's waiting and saving for the Intel Core Ultra [15th gen] and an RTX 5060 ;-((

It's OK if you mean the RTX 3050 with 8GB video RAM and 16GB dual channel [system] RAM. 8GB single channel system RAM is not good. [in case you mean that] The RTX 3050 with 6GB video RAM is also 'bad'.

In lower settings it's the CPU, sometimes you see it spike to 90%++. Higher settings have a botlenecking GPU. The 1% low is also 'very low' in DX12. An i5-13600K or Ryzen 5 7700X with an RTX 4070 SUPER is perhaps the 'sweet spot for Fortnite';-( I cannot afford that ;-((

That's not true fortnite currently is garbage with dx11 and performance mode and for me dx12 on lowest settings and textures on high even with an i3-10100f and gtx 1650 gddr6 i still get 100-140 fps and it never stutters or drops below 100 just play 2-3 matches and ur good@@Benchmarks

@@fee.d The question was is the CPU or the GPU stuttering [in my video]. In the frame time graph you see spikes in every setting, but especially in the higher [DX12] settings. I answered the question about those spikes [=stutter]. 2 matches is [usually] a very long time, it should run OK from the 'beginning'. I still think an i5-13600K or Ryzen 5 7700X will run it a lot better.

It's only weak in 4K. In 1080p the frame rate is sometimes close to [the MAX of] 188FPS where the [stuttering] 'misery' starts.

I still have to buy a [better] cooler for the i5-11400 ;-( @ the moment I have no money left, in the foreseeable future I will probably equip the i5-11400 with a better air cooler.

I only use an old Hyper 212 Plus and doing a stress test, which makes the cpu go to 120w its 70°C and gaming, 67-70W(CS2, I dont know other games) temp stays in the 50s. I, will check myself the 65W tdp in bios and see if its that what makes the almost double in fps because I thought mine was pulling like 80W atleast.
