Dude you have to be using batteries I plug my iphone in and absolutely nothing, no power, zilch. WHAT IS YOUR SECRET
It’s the newest iPhone and it was new at the time. Should still be able to power it tho. No batteries were used. Although batteries may be a better option than the phone since the ep-133 takes so little power
@@mindalteringfx316 I guess you need an iPhone 15 or something. The Iphone SE 3rd gen is a no go.
@@dollMage yeah definitely need an updated phone. My 13 didn’t work for it either. Might need a pro max edition. Same goes for the iPad as well. The pro series can deliver more power to accessories without the need for a power bank or batteries.

Man I can’t get the ep-133 and koala to talk! I’m jealous.
There’s some digging involved in mapping koala to the ep133 but it’s possible
So what would I need if my iPhone has a lightning port and not USB-C? I can’t figure out how to connect anything to sample from my phone (TH-cam, Apple Music) into the EP-133 :/
You can use a lightning port headphone adapter and an aux cable to sample from your phone. Here is a similar item I used but the lightning connection a.co/d/c392rdr

I connected the OP-1 Field with the KO2 by USB C, and 3.5mm out of the OP-1 Field into KO2. I have drums playing on the KO2, and samples on the OP-1 Field, and I want to record the samples on the KO2 as the drums are playing, but it won't record. Do I have to chop the samples into the KO2?? I thought by hitting "record" while the drums are playing it would record it but it doesn't. Sorry for the long comments fam lol
Sorry the delayed response. I had to tend to some personal matters. I’m sure you probably figured out you can record audio directly into the KO2. You can only sample into it. I usually route my audio from the KO2 into the OP1field since it can record audio directly.
They will probably release a looper or audio recording KO2 at some point

How do you avoid any parasite sound? When doing this exact setup, I always get a bad hum noise. It’s most apparent when turning the sound up on the output. And it makes the resulting tracks unusable. Mostly due to USB-C charging. How do you avoid that? Do you have a way to turn off USB-C charging on the op1f?
Turning off the charging on your usb-c on the op1 should help. It could be a cheap cable connection too. Try switching out to another cable if the sound persists. TE also sells a ground cable that may help if no of the mentioned solutions works. Here’s the link to it teenage.engineering/store/cart/
@@mindalteringfx316 unfortunately, I tried the two methods - and then some. But nothing. Still that ground loop. And no workable sync in between them two. Basically, the on/off switch for charging doesn’t work on the op1f when connected to the EP133. That’s a well known TE bug on the op1f. And then, I tried about 10 different cables, 4 different hubs (and no hub at all), tried all the PO sync methods I could think of. Nothing. But that’s TE for you. They don’t allow for sound over USB and don’t take ground loop into consideration. Sad.
How are the buttons for fingerdrumming? I'm worried it would be like drumming on a laptop keyboard.
There’s not rebound with fingerdrumming on it. It is a little like drumming on a laptop keyboard. Make take some getting used to but definitely capable of finger drumming on it.

🔥 ! Do you know how to connect the KO2 to Logic Pro for IPad to record beats out? Is the only way you can do it is to run it through an interface?
I haven’t tried to recording individual tracks yet. Closest thing you can probably do right now is record each audio track separately or use the KO2 in midi mode with samples.

@@30minutesofeuphoria80 you have to change the pads on the ep-133 to midi in order for it to trigger the pads like a standard midi controller.

Can you record to each channel of the mixer and loop on it?
It only records to the master channel and there is no loop option on the TX6. You need the TP7 to record to separate channels. I use the op1 to record loops

How did you hook up your MPK mini plus controller to your iPad, what hub did you use? I'm looking for a solution that allows me to send MPK midi data to the iPad but also to connect audio out of it, AND to power charge both the iPad and the MPK controller at the same time
The iPad Pro is capable of power the mpk by itself along with an usb interface. I’m not sure if the newer version of non iPad Pro models need a powered usb hub. The current hub I have right now was bought at Bestbuy years ago. I’ll see if I can find the model number. Amazon also sells powered usb hubs that will allow you to charge and play at the same time.
@@mindalteringfx316 My 2022 iPad Air (with M1) can directly power the MPK miniplus as well. However, when I place a USB C to USB C + mini jack cable in between this it fails to power the MPK. This has led me to believe that I need to invest in a USB C hub for my iPad that can be charge-through powered sufficiently.
@@Drrolfski might want try a different hub as well. May be a bad hub or underpowered. I have janky hubs as well. The Op1field is also capable of powering multiple devices and I sometimes plug a hub into that
