The topic Ben mentioned about listening people on online but not knowing how they look like was the exactly what happened to me with lotl. I've been listening them approximately for 4 years or so but never got curious about how they look like until I hear them on eurovision 😄 then I came up to a realisation point "oh wait they're those people I've been listening through my whole studies." Maybe it's a shamefull thing to mention but idk 😄

I finally got around to watching an episode! (Thank you for the English) Gen Xer here, 24 years in the same retail job...really interesting discussion. I think the balance is probably about freedom. New generations have the right idea, maybe it's just reframing the work ethic not about having less of it. I think I find my balance with the 9-5 as I live alone so have plenty of freedom outside of work (and control of the remotes!) Of course it doesn't work for everyone. Take up a new hobby every year if you can, to always be learning new things, and connect with other people.

Sehr inspirierende Folge, sehr interessant als Tätowiererin mit deutlich weniger Reichweite zu hören, dass wir ziemlich gleiche Ansichten haben und die gleichen Erfahrungen machen. 🖤 Es ist richtig erleichternd zu hören, dass es euch ebenfalls so geht, dass ihr euch mit Tätowierkolleg*innen vergleicht und andere teils krasser findet als euch! Ebenfalls finde ich den Umschwung in der Branche auch spürbar, die Ellbogenmentalität nimmt ab, langsam fangen wir an mehr und mehr an einem Strang zu ziehen und uns mehr auszutauschen und uns Tipps zu geben, bzw. zu kollaborieren. Trotzdem gibt es wirklich ein paar Kolleg*innen die eine heftige Star-Attitüde haben und sich dementsprechend teils respektlos den Menschen, die sie verzieren dürfen, gegenüber verhalten. Ich sehe es als heftiges Privileg an, dass es Menschen gibt, die meine Arbeit feiern, die Lange fahren, um mir ihr Vertrauen zu schenken, um mich an ihre Haut zu lassen, dass ich meine Ideen lebenslang auf ihnen verewigen darf. Dementsprechend versuche ich meine Kundschaft auch zu empfangen und zu behandeln. ☺️🫶🏼

I really love this episode. Have to say first I wasn't very interested when I heared the guest. Don't know him. Two guitarists talking about playing guitar? It was way more than that and time was just flying away by listening. Talking about the whole alcohol topic and sobriety was so interesting to listen to. I also dont drink alcohol, although i never was an addict. It just gives me a better feeling and enjoying of life. So I'm really looking forward to your next guests. Can't wait for the next episode ❤

Even though my tattoos are very obvious (face, scalp, fingers etc) I have never had any real negativity but I have had negative sexual comments, usually by men, due to being goth. It makes me worried for younger girls x

I completely agree with you about the work-life-balance thing. There are so many people on social media who hate their jobs, loathing every second they have to spend with their colleagues outside of their regular working hours. I, personally, don’t mind my job at all and I enjoy spending time with my co-workers. I mean, also want to balance the time spent at work with doing things totally unrelated to my job but it’s not like one is the good and one is the bad part of my life.

This episode was great! Thank you very much for your honesty and your openness - to both of you! This was really what I hoped this podcast will be like. Now I know that I don't have to practice every guitar-tutorial I see on the internet (honestly I was nearly so scared because of all the work, I nearly decided not to start with it. Now I can't wait to buy my guitar), you reminded me that perfection doesn't exist, I learned that I'm not the only one who struggles explaining other people or even friends that I don't want to drink so much alcohol or no alcohol at all. I was very interested in your talk/thoughts and experiences about discipline, people pleasing, the development in music business, therapy and many more. This podcast ist really worth watching! One question: Will Gina ever get trousers or a skirt? 😂 I'm feeling nearly a bit sorry for her😂

Hallo ihr Lieben - ich bin zwar eigentlich so gar nicht eure Zielgruppe, nur so ein LOTL-Neufan nach dem ESC ... oder besser gesagt, nach den "Kontroversen" mit den rechten Kreisen im Nachgang ....Trotzdem "verirre" ich mich bei jeder neuen Folge wieder hierher, find euch ganz spannend... und hab zwei Anmerkungen: 1. AfD und Kunst: Meines Wissens bezieht sich der Gesetzesentwurf nur auf staatlich subventionierte Kunst. Sozusagen als Rache dafür, dass die Rechten in der Theater- und Orchesterwelt keinen Fuss auf den Boden kriegen. Logisch, die ist ja auch international 😂. Wie etwa die Semperoper alles gegeben hat, um keinen "tollen Hintergrund " für Pegida-Demos zu werden. Und über Theater müssen wir glaub ich nicht reden. Da springen die "besorgten Bürger" doch regelmäßig im Dreieck, wenn mal wieder etwas Kritisches auf die Bühne kommt ... Will sagen - Jessy muss sich vermutlich keine Sorgen machen, aber grundsätzlich gibt es die Pläne durchaus, und ich finde sie auch alles andere als witzig 😬. 2. Polnische Salzgurken kann man auch relativ leicht selber machen. Und wenn man keine Schrumpelgurken bekommt (hab sie in D auch noch nie gesehen, aber in PL haben sie gerade Saison), kann man zur Not auc Salatgurke nehmen ....

Ich hatte Bengt gar nicht auf dem Schirm als ersten Gast von Pi! Dabei war das doch eigentlich so naheliegend! Freue mich über eine der seltenen Gelegenheiten, bei denen ihm eine Bühne gegeben wird, mehr von sich zu präsentieren als den "ewigen Side kick", und auch klar gemacht wird, wie wichtig er im LOTL-Universum ist. Die Badewanne war auch klasse - wobei mir da aber vor allem Gerrits Gastspiel in Erinnerung geblieben ist😂! Obwohl es mich geringfügig verstört hat, hoffe ich doch, dass die Folge NIE zensiert werden muss 😂

Hab gerne zugehört und zugedeckt. Die Badewannenfolge ist übrigens die 423 😀
