World B Free versus rookie JORDAN? COCKY vs the GOAT. They showed mutual respect on court, but Jordan reigns supreme...even as a ROOKIE. th-cam.com/video/tDxhVY2amz8/w-d-xo.html
I remember this game on how we couldn't get past the Lakers until Tim Duncan had arrived then started killing the Lakers for good never to look back again forever!
The smoothest of all time!
I like that because of The Boys, this title has a new meaning! 😂
I had his poster on my wall when I was a teenager. I couldn't WAIT to get it. That's all basketball heads talked about back then was "GEORGE The Iceman GERVIN!".... "GEORGE GERVIN!" and we were 6ixe'rs fans HEAVY - Doc was our MAN! Grover Washington Jr the musician made a song for Doc called Let It Flow. That's how bad Doc was and we loved all of our people that come from here but we weren't any fools when we saw talented players and George Gervin was DEFINITELY THAT! We had cable so we would catch the ESPN, TNT, WOR in Chicago and New York games being played so plus HBO showing other exclusive shows. I'll never forget this exciting time in the NBA when he, Doc, Moses Malone, Michael Ray Richardson and Kareem all played. Wow!
Dr J is my favorite player of all time, but i patterned my game after the Ice Man.
The man they call the Iceman but I think he's one of the smoothest players in NBA history and the man who invented the finger roll
i like watching big "fat", "unathletic", big white guys play. Jeff Ruland is one prime example
They had world b free before Meta world peace
I love his receding hairline and how he looked like George Jefferson.
Artis Gilmore was Much stronger than shaq ever was
Gervin is better than James....but Gervin has No Championships....
Nope. Broke my heart when they had a 3-1 series lead vs Washington Bullets & blew it! 😖 They were in the East back in those days
My late father (may he RIP) who was a big Sonics fan back then, from time to time he would tell me stories how difficult Jobn Brisker was as a player and the time Bill Russell got rid of him.
Artis Gilmore...Wilbur Holland...Reggie Theus....Chicago Stadium.....Benny the Bull.....the LuvaBulls. The Bulls , PRE-Jordan lol. It was a trainwreck but it was a lot of fun.
Idi Amin Dada would feed his enemies to crocodiles. He slaughtered members of his own family. He was a psychopath. If this guy crossed paths with Amin over in Uganda , I dont think he knew who he was dealing with. It wouldnt end well
Finger rolls were insane. When he was on every shot fell. I know Magic and Bird are Credited with making the NBA big and the Mike huge but what is almost always overlooked is the ABA merger. Wide open ball. The Dr,Ice,Moses,Thompson.Subtract these players and the merger and .......
good job dude, nice compilation
I bet this dude could still be alive somewhere
Hey Man! One can only ask if there is a Goat.Geoge Gervin was phenominal.I have never seen any player as Kool and Deadly as George Gervin. His legendary Finger Rool and his use of the backboard was unbelieveable.George Gervin is a Legend!
Thats pops back in the day
If the Knicks would’ve recruited local NYC hoop stars like a college team they would’ve won more titles in the 70s
Ooops, Sorry The music in chapter 9?
Who is the artist in chapter 10 music?
His wife Sandra is really nice. They are both from Brownsville. I remember they would come back to visit Brownsville from Cali after the Basketball season.
Never knew Calvin was a brawler. The #1 most underrated nba player of all time by far. 😁
1:11 5'5 Guy had a 6'4" lady 😍
Nba 2k he unstoppable
He was a great player. I enjoyed watching him. MAKE AMERICA TRUMPLESS AGAIN FRANKLIN 🤘🃏🇺🇸🎸🏀👁️
I saw Free, Dawkins and Dr J play against the Bulls in Chicago. Sloan, Love, Van Lear and Walker were on the Bulls. What a group of players. Dr. J flying dunk from the free throw line. Sloans and Van Lears defense. Loves outside shooting. Great game. 🤘🃏🇺🇸🎸🏀
My main man all day. Mad nice, even back then. Top 10 nickname NBA history.
Very good documentary of this player i like thr snipnets of the games to break up the flow of the video very nice
I watched World come to IS8 in South side Jamaica at half time dropped 50 and rolled out in his Benz l sald wow
He could play today
Very humble man..... Gilmore, issell and Louie Dampier were a perfect combination in Kentucky
Had The pleasure of meeting him during his time in Cleveland
A TESTAMENT to Artis's strength in the paint is his NBA record .599% field goal percentage over 18 seasons. He is the most underrated center in NBA history. And his left handed hook shot was hard to stop. Also, when he got the drop on you for a dunk, it was automatic 2 points.
He was a beast
My all time favorite Chicago Bull.
Other than Wilt and Shaquille, no Center could have made Artis's sneakers slide. Gilmore was mean in the paint. And an awesome defender.
nice, 1 of the best.gerv AND this doc
George Gervin, the undisputed master of the finger roll. He was not just an athlete but an artist.
Free was a bad man! It’s unfortunate the Sixers couldn’t win with that squad they had.
Finger Roll.....Smooth Brother scoring at will.... players would pass him the ball and watch.....
FREE!!!
Ever heard of Urban Myth⁉
He and Jack Sikma had the craziest looking shot I had ever seen
Good luck trying to stop em...
😮
He could definitely 💯 put it up never met a shot he didn’t like lol
It just goes to show when the powers that be don't like you they can alter the course of your life. You will always receive what God intended for you when you persevere. Free is easily a hof candidate and I believe it's coming 😊
I remember Free as a young child and huge bball fan. I believe he was as talented as just about anyone of his era. It is a shame and disgrace the way this man was treated. World B. Free: you are one of my basketball heroes. I would put you on my all time team proudly, anyway!
