Lauryn going for the Maria Abramovic look. She looks great but her fashion just reminds me of that witch and her Spirit Cooking events.

I watched the whole video, scrubbing back and forth, and I’m still confused about what they do. Is it an industrial design studio? A fashion company? A product company? Maybe that’s the goal, and I’m just not smart enough to understand, but I walked away confused…

The task light is so cute but I wonder if it will give enough light, the last Gantri lamp I bought was too dim

Hello. I was thinking about getting your Gio Task Light but it's a whopping $298! Also, it won't be shipped for 3 months! Go figure. I read a review too that described the dimmer switch as rather cheap feeling and the light does not dim smoothly. Is this true? Yes, I could replace the bulb with a LIFX bulb but since I want to use it as the primary task light for my desk I would rather keep the lamp analog. I'm really on the fence about Gantri. I admire your designs but I'm afraid that the quality won't be what I'm expecting. It's 3D printed, great, but if it feels like cheap plastic and doesn't dim smoothly does it matter? Your help would be appreciated. Stay awesome.

Hey @davidhunternyc! Thanks for your message. Quality is paramount to Gantri and we work hard to ensure each light you receive meets our high standards - from the light itself to the industry-leading LEDs to our custom-designed dimmer switch. We stand by this and offer a warranty on every Gantri product. Also, we work with independent creators, brands and studios and share revenue with them. All products are made close to home, in The Bay Area, where we have the opportunity to employ local workers and pay them a fair wage. Each light is made from our custom blend of Gantri Plant Polymers, a plant-derived PLA that is safer and better for the planet. As part of our sustainable practices, we keep on-hand stock to a minimum to combat the industry's problem with inventory waste and make most items, and the process takes time to complete. Since we own the entire manufacturing process, we’re able to obsess over every detail and make sure each part of the product meets our highest quality standards. We put value in everything we do and we believe each product is fairly priced accordingly. If you have more questions, feel free to send us a note at support@gantri.com!

@@ianrodriguez8564 Hi Ian, yes, I did buy the Gio task light and within 10 minutes, I knew I was going to return it. The light is a quality light but the plastic housing felt cheap to me, and for $300 I was expecting more, perhaps made with a rubberized, soft touch plastic. As it is now, the plastic used in their 3D printing is hard plastic and it doesn't have a nice hand feel. Also, I ordered the black Gio. The cord, however, is stark white. The white cord would look great on the white light but it sticks out on the black one. Also (you can't see it in pictures), the way the cord is attached limits the position of the light on a table. The head and base are in a fixed position. If you place the light to your right with the head of the light facing in to the left, the cord is hidden nicely behind the base. When the light is on your left with the head facing right, the cord sticks out. There is no way to hide the cord. A swiveling head or base would solve this problem but since it's 3D extruded, it's impossible. I was impressed with the transformer, however, and with the quality of the light. The light dims nicely and it's a warm, soft light. I'm sure all of Gantry's lights have the same cheap plastic feel but they are on the right track and their designers are great. Gantry is limited by their 3D printing technology at this time and do you really want to wait 3 months just to see if you like it? A plus for Gantry, however, is that they have a generous return policy. I returned my light the next day and got a full refund quickly. Gantry is legit. Still, there are hundreds of vintage, iconic desk lights on eBay that you can find for far less money than the Gantry. If you want to go green and save money, buy vintage.
