it's like the 5th time I've seen this video I really like it, its really well made I will watch it more, the light and tile survey too is a very good and well made video I have watched that one just 3 times though

Anyone else wondering if the "scattered debris" is some way to conjure a no-clip zone? It might be a stretch but the configuration of that debris reminds me of the machine in "Prototype."

As an autist who needs people infodumping his senses with stuff they find interesting, your videos begining where Kane's left off are wild. Wether you're right or not doesn't matter to me. You used every detail availabe to make your case. It's wild how much you were able to extrapolate from what I took as pure artistic choice on Kane's part. You definitely shifted my thoughts on all of this and showed me how much you can hide in plain sight. I honestly can't wait for more content from Kane purely because I now know it's going to be followed by more of your in depth analysis. Hope I didn't spoil much for anyone just starting, I also highly suggest you stick around till the end!

I feel like Ivan is the first person to get out. He was smart enough to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum using his radio array to open up the null zone that his elevator led to. I wonder if that has any narrative truth however. Imagine the guy behind the wall being Ivan. Id fight tooth and nail to prove that place existed. Otherwise people would just see me like Charles F. Muntz from UP. Disillusioned and crazy. Ahahaha

Another thing worth noting is how some of the lights in this part of the complex seem to have no source. The set of rooms with the chair barricade and tannoy speaker playing "still life" for instance, there are pools of light on the walls reminiscent of those cast by a recessed troffer close to said wall, but there IS NO troffer! It's almost like in a video game, where there is a light engine placed in a spot of the environment but no texture or "fixture" was placed over it. But it gets even stranger, the scene with the oblong table overlooking the panoramic view of the red city, that particular room has troffers in various spots for one moment, before the camera cuts and the next moment, the troffers are gone, but the light pools are still there. It makes me wonder if there are even wires behind those light switches and the lights they control. something interesting to think about nonetheless. what are your theories on why this phenomenon occurs?.

My theory with the dad is, that's a null zone, and it goes to the past in the real world. Sound can somehow no-clip through as well. In FF2, when the girl tampered with the null zone too much, it grew. The same thing happened with the dad. When he tampered with the null zone too much, it grew. But the thing is, it grew a LOT. In FF2, when she found the 'house' area, I think that's an entire HOUSE that fell through. Same thing happened with the dad's house. When The Complex makes a more accurate construction, it didn't make it. It TOOK it for more DATA.

Kane recently said in an interview that one person on TH-cam has come close to deciphering the goings on in his story, and I’m pretty sure it’s these theories. I’ve seen no one else actually read into his work with the depth or level of research done here, and knowing somewhat how the guy’s mind works, I think you’re on the right track.

I wonder if in a more meta-sense, the green light could also be a reference to Gatsby, since the green light is about Gatsby's unhealthy obsession and being "borne back ceaselessly into the past". It makes me think of Async's unhealthy obsession with pursuing their project even when it proves toxic, just like Gatsby with Daisy. It also makes me think of the nostalgic nature of liminal spaces and how they relate to the idea of being "borne back ceaselessly into the past". The sort of liminal relationship with the past and how it's remembered, much like Gatsby's idealization of his past with Daisy even though in reality he barely knew her. Plus the literal temporal distortion thing also relates to that, the Backrooms being a literal and figurative means of time travel through their liminality and their temporal distortions. I don't think it's too far reaching as Kane also references The Yellow Wallpaper, so I think literary references are definitely on the table.

Love your content Red! A thought, not anything that you missed but, that guitar playing animatronic would be tall as hell if he was standing. He'd be terrifying. The noises in the sewer could be another, scarier, animatronic. The Shepherd itself is likely some kind of rolling giant automaton thing. Is this... Is this going to be Kane pixels Mascot Horror? Asking for a friend.

I think the ending of the Light inspection video is meant to imply that all of the lights are copies of a single light. That in a way is even more uncanny.

If you're ever near east Tennessee and want to learn how to swim, I'd be happy to teach you. We have a crystal clear lake in the mountains that is a great place to learn to swim because it is shallow pretty far out and you can see the bottom. It's called Chilhowee Lake and there are tons of videos on TH-cam if you want to look it up. It's very pretty and very relaxing.

56:14 I think the reason he is walking so weird is because this is the Father we hear get noclipped into the backrooms after trying to help Ravi. The main reason I think this might be the case is because of the House they interact within, inside the house is a foot that seems cut off, perhaps he got stuck and, had to get out in a hard way. There are what seems to be blood stains on the carpet near the door to the house, so I might be correct. I'm most definitely am wrong, it leaves a ton of holes like how he became violent, and i don't know much about Kane's version of the backrooms other than watching the videos lol

the reason the gameplay videos look like that is because they're recordings of a game made in 2005, although the graphics are a tad behind for the era (half-life 2 came out a year prior, for instance) the graveyard video looks so real because the cameraman is in the meadow in real life
