What a dodgy tunnel! Not only is there the risk of bears in the tunnel but nasty people certainly could ambush someone in the tunnel as it has corners that someone could hid around. I certainly would not want to walk there there at night. It certainly is very unsafe for women alone too. A wide footbridge over the railway would have been better

My family was just there a few days ago. Walked all the way through the tunnel and met the bear at the south end. We had no choice but to reverse and walk all the way back hoping there wasn't going to be another bear on the other end!

WPYR 3002 is a class E3000CCDC locomotive built by Natinal Railway Equipment ( NRE ) 3002 along with the other 5 units we're built in MT Vernon Illinois. They we're originally built for the Australian company Qube Logistics in Australia. Qube Logistics canceled the last order of 6 units. Luckily for the remaining 6 units. It looks like they've made themselves fit at home in Skagway.

I could not comprehend the scale of it all. From the ship I was always thinking the trees were just small. But once ashore the trees were huge putting everything I was seeing from the ship in better perspective. Massive!!

You need a steel gate that is difficult, but not impossible to open so that you don’t send somebody in there and the bear be in there with them. The bear cannot run any human is nowhere to run to so either end of the tunnel needs to have a bear proof steel gate May be to any Chand so even if they could get through the first one they have to negotiate the second one with some sort of combination lock for tourists To use

There should be gates that stops the bears entering as I would not like to encounter on in one of those tunnels.
