That damper seal in the upper part.... Ive got over an hour into it and still cant get it to budge! Yes, I have the circlip out and the washer. Screw drivers and picks to no avail... There has to be a technique to it that I have not seen in the 3 decades Ive been working on things. Its embarrassing at this point.

Thanks this does help a lot. But LOL, you didn't show the hardest parts. Getting the cap loosened up from the rod, "had to heat it up like you suggested to get it unstuck". Removing the seal was very difficult as well.

Is it normal for the cartridge spring to be loose in the cartridge? I was thinking my old cartridge springs were wore out and I needed softer ones, but they’re the same exact length. Even with the new springs installed it’s like it’s not long enough or it needs a preload. Is this normal?

Is the top seal the same as the bottom seal?

I'm curious if your damper rod is 12 or 12.5mm diameter.. seems like there's 2 different seals available. My damper rod on a 2012 rmz450 measure 12.5mm. so ordered a 12.5mm seal. Maybe some 250 or older twin chamber models have a 12mm damper rod?

Nice overview, thank you. I’ve replaced these seals years ago on my 450x and just needed a refresher on the process. Time for CR250R to get new seals. The showa twin chamber 47’s are dandy forks.

So under my spring in-between the piston body, I have a pre load spacer that I have never seen on any other forks? Is this an aftermarket piece?

Hi could you please look at my videos and tell me what could be causing the buzzing noise. Its not the pipe or pipe support brackets I have check everything just haven't torn into the engine yet. The noise is really starting to bother me

Beautiful scenery there and nice video. One of the most turbulent flights I've ever been on was an American 707 back in the mid 70s. We took off from Tucson on a very hot summer day for DFW, and the first 10 minutes of gaining altitude and getting over the mountains was pretty exciting. It was mostly thermal turbulence, although there may have been some mountain-induced turbulence as well as we crossed over them.

Hey, I have a 2006 KDX 200 that was brand new when I got it. I have the stock seat cover, just like this one on his bike, that is BRAND NEW condition that I have no use for. I put on an all black just because I prefer the look. If you want it I'll sell it for $20 and I'll eat the shipping. Just trying to help a fellow KDX'er out. Scott
