Do you still spear fish on the Isle of Wight
Salvimar gun out of choice over others or first purchase, pros and cons?
Hi Simon I use a beuchat marlin carbon. Have never used a salvimar personally but hear good things about them. Find a gun you feel comfortable with 😊 happy Spearing 🎯
Nice fish mate 😁🎯
Thanks buddy 👌🏻 only one I’ve managed to get on camera this year 🤣🤣
Hi mate, are you allowed to dive inside the habour walls or was this the outside?
Hi buddy as far as I'm aware you can dive both sides of the breakwater the prohibited sections are around the wreck of HMS hood and the inside of the newtons cove end hope this helps 👍
Cool video mate - cracking lobster - the wreck looked amazing. It might be a bit better to watch if you edited out a few of the non-action parts - about half the video is just staring at murk 😅 not trying to be mean at all, hopefully a bit of constructive criticism! 👍🏼
Thanks buddy unfortunately not had my laptop so clips are just strung together with no edit at the min until my laptop's fixed lol thanks for the support and appreciate your opinion 👌
@@dmacspearfishing20 that makes complete sense mate - I look forward seeing more! I've done a few spearing videos myself and I appreciate the work that goes into them. I'd actually meant to comment on your video with Ryan E - not sure how I ended up commenting on this one - whoops! 😅
Thanks bud I've looked at your content its decent! And yes gathered that haha thanks again buddy dive safe 👍
@@dmacspearfishing20 Thanks mate 👍
Hi mate, Great videos, i'm sure your channel will grow. Been scuba diving for years but new to spearo myself, got myself all the gear to give it a go! Wouldn't mind a few pointers of good places around weymouth area to dive for beginners and what to look out for in terms of conditions/weather?
Hi buddy, Portland harbour is a great place to start, its such a diverse area with a lot to offer and its safe for beginners, its sheltered and relatively shallow, and unless there's a strong easterly wind can pretty much dive it at any time! Hope this helps and thanks for your support. Dive safe!
@@dmacspearfishing20 Thanks mate, especially after spider crabs! I'm guessing you can find them in the harbour also?
@@jayjayjay457741 newtons cove usually kicks out some monsters but your find them in the harbour no problem 👍
Crummy vis that day mate. I didn’t know you were allowed to dive anywhere near the torpedo shed / defence wall. They’ve put up new signs by the footbridge warning of prosecution,so we can’t even fish with rod and line from there anymore. Nice lobbo mate
Thanks buddy! As far as I'm aware the trespass sign refer to the access road as its owned by Portland port. Hope this helps and thanks for the support 👍
Love scallops. Especially freedived ones. Keep the footage coming I'm sure your channel will start building momentum. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the support 👍 more to come soon!
Can’t watch that, your head is jerking arond too much!
Great video mate, well done, just found your channel and really enjoyed the edit and fun! That anchor was it of a freighter or tanker? Wasn't like a VOC Relic, but it looked like a modern Admiralty anchor? Really enjoyed watching that, Hello from Aussie, Dive Safe!
Thanks buddy! I've tried to find out some info on the anchor but can't seem to find any history to it! It's not in a spot that you'd expect to find it given the size! If I do get any info I'll post it in the description. Thanks again for the support, happy diving!
That double miss! 😂
Its taken years to achieve that kind of skill haha!
