Fearless Prayer With Craig Hazen
In this episode of Faith Informed, we will delve into prayer. What is prayer? Why should we pray? Does prayer alter God’s plans and purposes? Is prayer really efficacious or is it pointless? Dr. Craig Hazen (former director of the Apologetics Program at Biola University) joins Sam Raju to answer these questions and more. We will examine passages like John 15:7, “ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” What does Jesus mean here?

In this sermon from Jude 3-4, Sam Raju helps us to understand what true faith is. Biblical faith is not belief in the absence of evidence. It is trust founded on evidence. We are not just called to believe that God exists but to believe in Him (to put our faith and trust in him).

Can I give you money? Please take my money, I don’t need it and you’re doing such a good job at making me want to give you my money.
Really enjoyed this first episode of Faith Informed - thanks, Sam. Mary Jo Sharp's testimony of coming to Christ and immediately experiencing judgmentalism in the church - and of Christians' own behavior sending her into doubt about the faith - is unfortunately more common than we'd like to admit. This for me was a call to examine how I treat others - Christians and non-Christians, inside the church and out - and to be careful about judging those dealing with doubt or questions. Appreciated her admonition against a reductionist view of salvation, and specifically her repeated statement that we're rational but not omniscient, so we will all at some point have some doubts and questions.
Sam, thank you for putting this podcast together. I enjoyed this episode and look forward to Part 2. Please keep up the good fight.
