Running is a great first line of defense! Even with training, you can still be cut or stabbed. However, with good training, you can defend, lock, and escape. Keep training!

There are some strategies for how to respond if stabbed during an encounter so that you can hopefully escape and survive

Holding lower down can give you more range, leverage, and is more conducive to non swinging blocks, strikes, and traps

@okamikaratedojo that's hard to believe sorry but if u were my sensei swinging punches at me like that I'd find a new place. yeah sometimes people don't know how to fight but training someone to defend against punches it should be a good non swinging punch, got to expect that the person fighting you somewhat knows how to throw a decent punch. just watched most your videos seems like u like fighting and are just getting started In your journey or took a lot of time off something isn't right also all the good schools in North America are using normal belts if ur a low belt has a white ribbon in the middle of the belt and high of whatever color is a black ribbon in the middle once u get to 2nd and so on black belt its black with however many strips signifying your degree my sensei tested for 6th degree last year his wife is a 5th degree my mom is a 3rd degree and I would also be a 3rd degree if i tested but I have had shoulder surgery 2 times since earning my 2nd and according to my sensei theres only 15 people in the us that are 5th degree and up and he tested infront of 8 them when he earned his 6th degree. since his wife and him are the other 2 i doubt u tested him he can name all of the others and ive only seen someone who was Irish from Ireland with that belt u have and he had it on differently aka not upside down and was teaching bataireacht not traditional asian karate and he said he was technically a 3rd degree black belt based off how America does things. look up korey Stites ull find my school can even find youtube videos of my school with him doing forms and ull clearly see why I don't believe u its night and day difference between u and him.
