Why did Manny &.Canelo didn't get to fight? It would have been a blast if it did materialize. But then again, Canelo is now a Super Middleweight champ. They should have fought when Canelo was in the welterweight division.
Well canelo could’ve fought Manny back in 2011 when manny won the WBC belt at 154 after beating Margarito, canelo was mandated to fight for that belt, but manny vacated that belt, then Floyd came in 2013 and schooled canelo for it.

The problem there is not really the fighters themselves, it is the moronic fanbase behind them who are just little cults really, they build up such a narrative and our skin versus your skin nonsense that it seeps through to the fighter and puts an enormous amount of unwarranted pressure from said community and they just shell up and survive not fight

Yeah, I guess if you want to consider him the man in boxing after he relinquishes his title to dodge fighting David Benavidez, he’s a washed up has been who is only in it for the money at this point. He picks his opponents because he knows that he will get the same amount of money, no matter who he fights so he picks easy opponents like this guy. I used to have a lot of respect for Canelo Alvarez, but I’ve lost every ounce of it in the last couple of years. It’s a shameful way to fight to maintain your titles by picking the easiest opponents.
