Heath was given bad advice as he should have played his senior season instead of leaving for NFL. He wasn’t ready because he still couldn’t read defenses. Just ask the wide receivers who played with him.

I love Heath Shuler great memories sitting in Neyland watching the games. But his people let him down on the choice to go early. He looked good in the NFL despite not being ready for it. He has a highlight reel…..it wasn’t all bad like the writers made it sound like back then. But he stayed hurt and didn’t progress so he hung up his cleats.

To have a play where he just held the edge against Missouri and NOT have the goal line hurry against Texas A&M is a travesty!! Fastest I’ve seen someone get off the line at UT.

I’m keeping my expectations in check since he’s a first year starter but…man I’m excited

8 of the starting 9 batters had 11 or more HRs this year and 5 of them had 20 or more. That is insane HR production from 1-9. They hit 155 HRs just with those starting fielders. The rest of the team still hit 29 more HRs. I have never seen a team like that where every single batter from 1-9 was a threat to go yard. Great season hitting the ball and they came within 4 of that 97 LSU team that was hitting balls with the juiced bats of the 90's. GBO 865 BOMB SQUAD

I was five back in the 94 season. I remember always watching big orange football with my dad back in the early 90s. I got to meet Shuler back in 01 when he came to my middle school.

CMO, Billy barrels, and the rest of these guys were losing are going to be missed! I’m glad they was able to end their Volunteer careers with a CWS title! What a ride it was this season. 🍊⚾️
