That's fantastic, is it difficult to find engine parts in the US? 400cc engines are not as common as the 300 and 250 cc. Good luck with your build

@@davidgee9095 Unfortunately the previous owner literally destroyed the engine beyond repair. I made a subframe from scratch and mounted a 6 speed dirtbike engine. 25hp so hopefully it will do 65 comfortably. I preserved all mounts so a stock engine can drop in no problem. I was considering a 250cc goggomobil engine but that would be terrifying in USA traffic 😂. But yeah there’s no parts around here. Based on online searches I think there’s less than 20 in known existence. I saw a dart for sale once in same condition as yours for 5k$ when was the last time your dart moved?

The chap I brought the Dart from had owned it from 1967 and drove it regularly until 1972 when it caught on fire! Since then I think it was a Gunna project. His son redid the body and had it painted, that is in perfect condition. Some parts have gone missing over the years in particular the carburettor which I hope they will find! There are quite a few darts here in Australia, about 70. I have a coupe convertible which I restored of which I think there are about 20 left. Mine is currently the only one on the road.
