The original introductory promotion video for the John Deere LX200 series lawn tractors circa 1999.
John Deere 300 series vs the competition VHS (1999)
มุมมอง 20K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Comparison of the John Deere 300 series garden tractors (325/335/345/355D) vs the Cub Cadet 3185, Toro Wheel Horse 518xi, and Kubota TG1860G. As a Deere fan, I love how laughably biased this video is. Things that are clearly misrepresented, certain things that aren't compared, or just grabbing at straws in some cases against the other machines. The tape is screwed up at the end so it cuts off a...
1998 Sabre by John Deere Lawn and Garden Tractor promotional VHS tape
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The original promotional VHS for the Sabre by John Deere Lawn, Yard, and Garden Tractor line circa 1998. This is one of my favorite promotional tapes I've had because of the goofy narration, music, and video/sound effects. It's very much a product of its time and I find that endearing. Tomorrow's Tractor Today: John Deere 400 series promotional VHS
มุมมอง 57K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The original promotional video tape for the John Deere 400 series (425, 445, 455) and attachments from the early 1990s. I had this tape over 20 years ago as a kid growing up in the late 1990s, but it was given away with the collection of other Deere tapes I had. Since then I've been trying to reacquire the collection I had and this video was at the top of my list. It's taken over 10 years of se...
These tractors were definitely good tractors, but they damn sure weren’t quiet enough to mow 50 feet from someone sleeping. I’m that person that would’ve bought the 455 to cut a 80’x120’ lot.😂😂😂😂
You don't see many of these tractors or prior models anymore.
We still run a 8870 to this day on our farm and it is one of our favorite tractors! Very simple and basic operation, without all the new electronics and sensors, emissions. It pulls our airseeder and puts the crop in every year. Very low maintenance. Some of the best John Deere ever made
I just bought a LX280 AWS 48 inch mower deck with 500 hrs and am amazed by the build quality! The AWS shaved considerable time off my lawn mowing time! Haven't found much on TH-cam on the LX280 model! Glad I found your video on the LX200 line! Great video! Hope you post more on the LX200 and the LX280 aws if you can find annything! Just subbed to your channel.
Deere hoods the only hoods that don't last
❤
Still have mine and it is 25 years old. Just replace the drive and deck belt for the first time. also the spark plug. very happy with it
These John Deere 400 series tractors are what I call “Heirloom” tractors…if you bought one of these tractors back in the 90’s, your grandchildren are driving it now!..if well maintained, they would easily last 40+ years. They are in fact the best lawn and garden tractors ever made!..better than Simplicity…better than Cub Cadet…better than Kubota!…they were a tractor that was actually perfected the first time around and all the subsequent generations of this series are based off of it!…John Deere could re-release this series and it would still beat the competition by leaps and bounds and not break a sweat!…I had a 1995 455 for 11 years that was previously owned by a municipality and run hard all its life and it worked mint!..I could literally mow my yard which was not small for an entire season on a tank of fuel!..it needed work and leaked oil everywhere, but it worked like new with over 3700hrs on it…I gave it to my Godson last year and he has restored it to brand new condition and he’s proud as a peacock!…I missed it terribly so I just went out last week and bought an x495 which is the next generation of the 455…it’s mint with the 60” deck and she works great!..love these old product promotional videos!..
I have a 1995 455 AWS. That thing is a torque monster and indestructible. Dang thing will easily tow a ton or more, uphill, on gravel.
This is 90s-tastic. I love it😊
I miss sabre mowers. They should bring this back.
Just bought one today for 100 bucks with tiller and 54 inch deck, 22hp
And what happens when you sneeze in the same room as a Deere plastic hood?? They shatter into some lovely Deere confetti….
grods vache
John Deere builds among the best!
Great units I have the 455 love it
I have a 99 455 love that tractor easy on fuel mows great and plow's snow really good as long as you have the tire chains.
The vocal fry from the voice actor is legendary!
Walked into KCCanay Fultonville,NY on Saturday morning in April 1993 & saw a poster of these 4 70 Series tractors.Thats how we found out about them.
Can't say a plastic cam was a good idea on my 320 and found sump bolts loose leading to coolant system failure to the sump.
I just bought a mint 94 jd 425 with 588 hrs
3:19 music go hard
This has absolutely nothing to do with the Sabre brand, but Deere should’ve never done away with the quick release lever on their decks. It’s such a massive PITA to take the deck off an X3/X5, seeing as the tensioner arm is halfway under the machine and is only moveable with a 3/8 ratchet

Wow, now this was a promotional video, John Deere knew what they were doing back in the day. I wish they could do this now.

You may not be able to dent those hoods brand new. But overtime, theyll break like glass
If anyone thinks you're paying for a name with John Deere go tell me how many of the other brands mentioned here are still out there performing or furthermore if one of these comes up for sale they're still trading hands for 2 to 3 grand, can't say that about the other ones unless it's the diesel model
I’m so happy I got a 93 JD 425 and it still runs amazing
"The John Deere deck adjustment is in 1/4 inch increments" then it shows 1/2 inch and slams the competition LOL. And I love my 325.
The hoods are the worst part of these tractors. whack it with a bat? never!! to break these things all ya gotta do is let it slam shut too hard a couple times. I am a Deere fan boy, but this video is pretty cringe worthy.. lol. and where was Simplicity?
I love my GX345, but Deere was kidding themselves talking up the quality of those hoods! 🤣
Still mowing with my lx255 in 2023!!
I have a 01 455 , love the thing! Had it 20 odd years now. Runs and Mows as good today as it did new. just turned over to 800 hours. , it will be in the shed long after I am gone!
Grew up on this series of yard tractors
I don't even remember this brand.
A very good example of how John Deere puts so much thought into the design of their products.
...except the hoods. at least they fixed that WAY later.
Still mowing with my LX277AWS in 2023!
We had a 8970 great Cummins engine
I forgot we also had a 8570
The hydraulic lift on the toro is loud because its parker electric over hydraulic actuators.
We had 1998 Sabre 2048 with the Briggs when I was growing up, that thing lasted 13 years with only regular maintenance and expected wearable parts...loved it
I wonder how a Simplicity Sovereign would fare ?
I have a 325 26 years old just tuned it up for spring
I Just bought a 325 (1998) as well. my 1st real Mower--$2,300 /315 hours. runs and cuts like a dream!
Excelente video que lindos tractores eran esos.
I enjoyed this promo video. I have a 455 AWS..60" deck..13 Bushnell hydraulic dump grass collection system. I bought this new in 1998 and just did my annual service yesterday. Tractor has 785 hours. She still looks like new. Was thinking how proud I was while servicing her. Just saw this on TH-cam and really enjoyed it. Thanks to poster.
Off to buy a tractor now
I absolutely love john deere and I bleed green
My condolences
This is when Deere *finally* was starting to get it right with their 4wds
Too bad they didn't keep it up. Red beats them at every turn
@@sew1194 Deere is rather impotent & feeble when it comes to matching anything that comes from fargo. For instance their 9Rs have yet to feature a all cab glass cab like the red ones have.
@@generationll yeo
Too bad Case IH is still better
@@Formerlytrouserttrout not to mention, considerably cheaper !
Do you have more interesting promo videos like these? I wanna see one with the 60 series tractors
