Did you add the levels.txt to your mod folder (like at 2:14) and edit it (like at 28:07). I think if the game cant find or read the levels.txt it just loads the standard maps.

Did you shift + rightclick on the window? You have to click on the window-background and not on the files. Edit: It seems to also not work if a file is just selected so make sure to unselect all files you have selected first (by leftclicking the window-background).

Are you playing with the GOG version? There must be a bug with the AI, because the same thing happens to me, whatever I do. When I've been playing for a few minutes, hundreds of Mayans attack me, coming from afar, I don't even make a border with them. In fact, at minute 52:16 of the video you can see a group of Mayan soldiers passing through the border without further consequences. In my case, without their territory bordering mine, after a few minutes of starting the game, dozens of soldiers attack all the military buildings and occupy them, losing the game in a few seconds. Even when a geologist from my colony looking for metals wanders into no man's land, the Mayans come from afar and kill him.

@@novakato2438, after several attempts I managed to pass this mission. What I did was recruit as many Level 3 archers as possible, more than Level 3 swordsmen, and several Level 3 medics as well. On the border I built several towers arranged in such a way that the enemy army had to pass through the center. I arranged archers in the towers and in two groups on the flanks. And swordsmen in the center between the towers. In the first attack I managed to hold the towers, and after an even attack the enemy began to have many casualties thanks to my archers. Once I recovered my strength, I received a second, much weaker attack, which was immediately repelled. I then began the invasion of enemy territory, and everything went smoothly.

​@@lachinera nah, im just cheated. I have zero interest in wasting my time against cheating AI on easy... I beated up Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 on hardest difficulties, I think I know when a strategy game have a balance. This is the first time im playing this game and I was not ready for this turbo-nerd crap at the second level. I hope its just some bug related to modern hardware (its not the first time the old games AI get boosted by faster CPU or something like that), and the next levels would be better. Did you use the newest version of OFToast? There is also a new repair tool, maybe that will help.

There is an even newer version of OFToast now. (you can find it here: toast2.openfortress.fun/toast/oftoast-0.2.2.exe ) It got a verify option that should be able to repair your game.

Are you using the newest version ot OFToast? (download here: toast.openfortress.fun/toast/oftoast-0.2.0.exe ). There isn't really much to show you just run the program, click update and it should work.

That means that the Open Fortress files can't be found. Make sure you installed it in steamapps/sourcemods/open_fortress Have you installed Open Fortress in the same library as TF2 and Source SDK 2013?

Sounds like a file is missing or corrupted. Downloading it again might help. Are you using the newest version of OFToast? There was a new version posted in the Open Fortress discord announcements section. I have heard about this exact problem earlier already, I hope they didn't fuck up an update or anything.

Does it say that when you try to download OFToast? Or does it say that when you try to download Open Fortress using OFToast? The Servers are often not working due to high demand and there are sometimes URL changes. You should check out the announcements section in the Open Fortress Discord for more information.

If you're getting invalid url or anything about the server being frazzled try again later. Cloudflare is very slow with updating.

You probably need to update your game. Try to run oftoast.exe again it should update your game.

I think it is ok if the launcher exists on another drive BUT you have to install the open_fortress folder on the same drive as TF2 (in the same steam library to be exact). When choosing the installation path make sure it ends with sourcemods/open_fortress, you can also make the open_fortress folder youself and put everything inside I think.

Maybe run oftoast.exe again to update the gamefiles, you seem to be missing some of them.

If that doesn't work try to follow my old tutorial and then run oftoast.exe. Maybe oftoast.exe thinks you got files that you don't and doesn't download them. (Link to my old tutorial: th-cam.com/video/Z4CD1lVAg8M/w-d-xo.html)

That there is no .exe file is correct, the game runs over SDK Base 2013. Have you starded up TF2 once? I think you need to do that so that steam will read the sourcemods folder. Sometimes this seems to happen anyway but for some the game just pops up one day. Maybe try to install everything (TF2, SDK Base and open_fortress) on the same drive that steam itself is installed on, if you haven't already.

Does it show the valve intro and then crash? If yes that means that the Open Fortress files can't be found. Make sure you istalled it in the right place (steamapps/sourcemods/open_fortress) and in the right library (if you have several steam librarys make sure TF2, SDK Multiplayer and open_fortress are installed in the same one)
