Scavenging in a dangerous wasteland is already a risky job, but it becomes even more hazardous when one of your crew members has the attention span of a golden retriever. Drayk, an enthusiastic but not-so-bright lizard, stumbles across what he believes to be the perfect toy for their canine companion-a shiny, disc-shaped object just lying around in the rubble. Excited by his find, he calls out to Vulf, his far more experienced (and far more stressed) partner, to confirm that they can sell toys as well as scrap.
Vulf, barely paying attention, gives an absentminded "yeah, sure," without realizing what Drayk is about to do next. Before he can stop him, the eager lizard winds up and hurls his "frisbee" right toward him. Time seems to slow as Vulf suddenly recognizes the deadly truth-this is no ordinary toy. It’s a landmine. What follows is a mix of pure terror and begrudging acceptance as Vulf processes the absolute chaos unfolding before his eyes.
This comic perfectly balances dark humor and sheer absurdity, capturing the dangers of scavenging with a pair of complete opposites-one careful and world-weary, the other blissfully ignorant and full of reckless energy.
