Hi George. I've had my microphones for at least 20 years. sE Electronics sE2200a (I use 2 going across each other for the best recording), I also upload the audio to my Cubase 13pro which allows a more polished recording. I hope this helps, Nick

@@nicktaylorpiano Don't be sorry, this was not a complaint but a thing to point out :-) Other basses are too loud I think so in the rest of the piece.

hey sir, thankfully my compositions are going very well, I’ve got the ten odd songs under my belt as we speak, although my hope are high for a few I think only half of them will make the cut. I’m currently trying to get in contact with a few people who could get my music recorded and hear Is there another way that I’m able to contact you? as I don’t think a TH-cam comment section is a very suitable and professional way talk to an old friend, haha. Hello, Nick I propose: Gilels plays Rachmaninov: Prelude op. 23 no 10. There is also a video where Rachmaninov himself plays this prelude. @@nicktaylorpiano

Thanks for that, 2 wonderful performances on YT which shine even through the poor audio quality. I used to listen to a lot of Gilels, a wonderful and musical ianist as was Rachmaninoff. :)
