Railroad depot is also a pokemon pokestop! Lots of pokestops in Eureka Springs. Something for the kids. My grandpa was a conductor on this railroad back in 1930’s and yes it’s a shame it doesn’t run out to Beaver township anymore.

The lunch looked like a fruit appetizer plate. I bet you were way overcharged for the “experience”. They need to do better.

I’ve always wondered about the train ride there, about what I expected, if one gets a chance it’s worth the drive to Durango Co and ride the train from Durango to Sliverton Co it’s well worth it

I rode this train also. Its too bad the thing doesn't go a little further down the track. But hey, what can you do. There are only so many places to run a small rail road. We enjoyed it for what it was. Thanks for posting the video.

I've been going to this place for over a decade and it never gets old! I love their dedication to keeping a piece of Texas' history alive, and the staff's friendly and welcoming attitudes. I actually ventured up there last Friday when they had #30 fired up, the engine is currently down due to a mechanical issue, but they're expecting it to be back in service soon from what I heard. It's always nice to see other people enjoying and appreciating history! :)

I'm from louisiana but love all the steam engine train's on the Texas state Railroad park area too
