Bible Study: I Corinthians Part I
I Corinthians 1:1-19
We continue our study through what Paul Lucas at Hillview Baptist Church (www.youtube.com/@hillviewbaptistchurch1821) calls "Paul's Curriculum of Grace." We started with Romans a while back and intend to continue in order through all 13 of Paul's letters.
We'll show you where Corinth is and address questions regarding the timing and location of the writing of Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians, (thanks to Pastor Justin Johnson at Grace Ambassadors in Indiana th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=grace+ambassadors), as well as questions regarding it's authenticity. We'll examine the difference between "The Day of our Lord Jesus Christ" as referenced by Paul versus "The Day of the Lord" Spoken of by earlier prophets. And we'll discuss how the sign gifts, and other examples of carnal circumstances produced divisions and pride in the members at Corinth.
Find out what "the knowledge of the truth" encompasses, along with the biblical definition of the word "perfect" as compared to Plato's, (and the world's). And we'll discuss what "that which is perfect" means in it's biblical context, God's vow to Israel regarding their perfection, and how the work of the prophets, and especially their written scriptures were ordained to maintain Israel's perfection, along with Jesus' ultimate accomplishment of perfection in the reconciling of the Heaven and Earth back to God.
Finally we'll review how Paul is tasked with delivering new information regarding salvation and the truth to the world in light of Israel's temporary blindness.

Bible Study Ironsides Versus Bullinger Conclusion

      At the moment satan controls the world, and you control your body. Both of those facts will change. Relatively shortly for you as you grow old, and sick, and feeble and then you fall over dead. And for Satan maybe the change comes later, but absolutely. There is a way of escape from certain death for you though.

      @@bonsallbible simply put. Just because one can derive meaning or sense from a claim (example the bible). Doesn’t mean anything other than, that a claim has proven to be meaningful to you You can’t make a claim, then provide the claim as evidence. Each time you bring up the bible, it is a claim. But you present it, as if it is evidence. Circular. I read one of your comment that just because you can question and reason it, makes it true. That is entirely false. That is circular, thus rendering your argument fallacious. Wirh that line of reasoning, and your standard of true, them anything can be true. All religious text must be true, since you can just point back at them as proof.

      @@broknpaldn7920 The bible is not a "claim". the bible is a library, as Alex said. And the consistency of the many books in the library with one another, (different authors often separated by hundreds of years) insulates the Bible from the pedestrian accusation of circular reasoning. And if you don't believe our ability to reason is evidence of an intelligent creator, it's because you choose to deny the most reasonable assumption.

      I apologize. The bible is a library of claims, so it’s still just a claim. And I understand that you are coming at this believing there is a god, but simply being able to reason, doesn’t prove anything, other than that we are capable of “reasoning”. In regard to its authorship of several hundred years, means nothing. Doctor who has spanned decades, with different authors and yet its still had a consistent story and plot. It’s not difficult to write more claims, and keep them consistent to someone else’s. You or I could spend the next month writing a new book of the bible, and make it consistent to its previous stories. And its been “thousands” of years. Consistency in written stories is nothing to be amazed by. I’m also not denying anything.

    you actually cannot prove that the bible is true by saying that “it says right here in the bible that the bible is true!” if somebody lied to you and told you that they were absolutely positive that they were telling you the truth, they’re still lying regardless of what they claim

    • @bonsallbible
      @bonsallbible 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why did you say "actually cannot" when "cannot" was sufficient? It's because when men dissemble they are unmasked by extra words used to fill in the time they take to prevaricate. The Bible is proven true by your ability to question it, and my ability to defend it. Reason is evidence for God, and the Bible is the most serious work of reason in literary form in all of history, and that is overwhelming evidence that it is the Word of the intelligent God who gave us the ability to reason. Why do you state "all that opens the matrix" when reading from exodus. What does that mean. Is this some hidden information regarding the act of "sodomy". Im confused, why would something open the matrix relating to males only. And why would it be a mark on the hand and forehead in exodus just like the description used for the Mark of the beast. I was shown the Mark of the beast is a spiritual Mark which came in 2017. Marking and sealing is spiritual, not physical, it affects the spirit/soul. Its a mark that depicts who you worship and worship is spiritual. Thats why the MOTB results in the "worship" of Satan.

    • @bonsallbible
      @bonsallbible 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "Opens the Matrix" is an old English term for being born. It has nothing to do with sodomy. The Latin word for mother is “mater”. A mother having a baby is a "matrix”. Matrix is the English translation of the Hebrew word רֶחֶם (rechem) in the KJV. And openeth is פֶּטֶר (peter), or "that which first opens." So God is commanding Israel to dedicate all firstborn sons to God. I agree the Mark of the Beast is Spiritual. I disagree it has already come. Thank you for listening.

      @@orielleonie2615 Please let me know what you believe the spiritual sealing of 2017 is. I'm unfamiliar. I was sealed by the Holy Spirit when I believed the gospel and trusted Christ as my savior. How 'bout you?

    • @orielleonie2615
      @orielleonie2615 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bonsallbible You were led to believe the MOTB is a physical mark correct?. Well that's not true. It's a spiritual mark. So not only did I feel the sealing spiritually in 2017, it was on the forehead and the best way to describe it would be like a fiery welding/engraving on the spirit, I also was shown prophetically in a dream that the mark is indeed spiritual. And then using my own life and how they zone in and ensure you don't survive financially I then realized that's what buy and sell was actually referring to. So you put all the pieces together and you realize they covered up spiritual sealing. And because of the tribulation faced, that meant it was not just myself that was sealed, everyone made a choice in 2017. They just covered it up just like the timeline were in which is over 7000 years, not 6000. So it makes sense why God sealed and separated in 2017 because it was the time of final judgement the 7000 years, not 6000.
