I wish I got to do summer intensives (my family doesn't have the money) because I used to go to ballet west (my mom made me leave) and everyone would talk about the intensives they were doing but I just couldn't do them. Now my new studio has a summer program but it isn't an intensive. I wish I was still at Ballet West tho

i wanna say PA ballet (now philadelphia ballet) has gone through a lot of good changes in the past few years! i went there just this past summer, and it was a great experience for me personally. we got to perform paquita excerpts, as well as some other pieces (contemporary and flamenco for my level, and i think the younger kids did something jazz-ish). never felt/heard anything negative or demeaning towards my body, thankfully :)

I didnt start ballet until my mid thirties and they told me that I coukd hace possibly made it if I had startef earlier in my life.

Congratulations on the Nutcracker. I am performing in Nutcracker for the 2nd time as a party parent.

5th year adult ballet student. I take class at a small dance studio and also at a pre professional ballet school. I have also had the opportunity to attend rehearsals in both settings and the vibes are different in a good way.
